“Victoria was so great to work with! Communicative, punctual and respectful of my shy senior cat. She took such good care of her, provided me detailed information of what was happening and took really great photos! I highly recommend her!”

“This was my first time using Rover and I made the perfect choice by having Zion watch my cat!! She was consistent with the check in times and kept me updated the whole time! I came home to a very happy cat and I look forward to using Zion again in the future!”

“Penelope was very easy to work with - communicative, sent so many pics, and spent good time with my cats when she checked on them! Will absolutely work with her again.”

About: I have fostered and cared for a variety of temperaments as well as accidents and ailments. My personality under pressure is imperative to calm pets. I am fully remote and working on European time zones. My husband works in office and I just love the company! My furbaby motivates me to go on walks during a break and other energy mixed in just creates a fun happy environment. It should be noted that when we have all had a big day, lounging in the sectional collectively to some good TV before sleep is crucial. Along with pupsicles-duh. I have a fenced-in yard that backs up to a protected piece of land. It is absolutely gorgeous and calm, not to mention for great fetch. A dog trail leads to a nearby park with all of the smells! I can accommodate the preferences and needs of any pet or owner's request.
“Tiffany truly went above and beyond to make sure our pets were well taken care of and loved. I cannot begin to express how much happiness and peace of mind her daily update messages brought to us while we were away. If I could give a 6 star rating I would! She is absolutely fabulous!”

“Taylor was an excellent sitter for my cats while I was out of town for a few weeks. Great communication, easy to work with and consistent with updates/photos. Would definitely recommend and book with her again!!”

“I have used Lauren for multiple drop-ins for my cat, Miso Soup, and every time she is communicative and diligent in her care that she gives! She’s my go-to pet sitter and I couldn’t be happier with her consistently amazing service.”

“Sam was incredible taking care of our atreven while we were away getting married and on our honeymoon! It was so much easier to enjoy knowing he was safe at home with Sam. We would love to book again for our next trip. 10/10 highly recommend”

“Aryanna took such great care of our kitties! She leaves very detailed information about her visits, takes pictures and videos, and is punctual. 100% recommend!”

“I rebooked Raven and I’m so glad to have found someone so reliable to care for my cats! She was able to administer medication to one of them with ease, and she was very communicative throughout her visits. I really appreciated the detailed updates and report cards about how my cats were doing, and she always cleaned up any accidents they had. I could tell my cats were happy and comfortable with her. Raven will definitely be my go-to cat sitter!”

“John was amazing with our two dogs. Our pitbull is a little protective with our house and John understood him so well. I would definitely recommend him to others. My dogs loved playing with him!”
“Willow was fantastic! Both of my kitties immediately liked her and felt comfortable with her! That’s really all I can ask for but she also followed my feeding instructions to a T, and was very respectful of my space- even cleaned their food bowls for me before she left on her last visit! I will definitely be a repeat client 😄”

“Michelle took very good care of my maltese. She has issues with anxiety & Michelle not only took care of her physical needs but kept me informed about her mood. My dog was well taken care of & very happy when I arrived home.”

“Kayla was very attentive with chicken, chicken enjoyed her treats and pet pets. Everything went according to plan. Will request Kayla to visit kitties again in the future.”

“Christine did an amazing job taking care of my pup. She is great with communication and is always willing to help if she is available. My pup is less anxious when I return from trips and I know that can be attributed to the care Christine provides. I would recommend her to anyone!”

“Annie was an amazing pet sitter! She was attentive, caring, and went above and beyond to make sure my cats were happy and well taken care of. I really appreciated her updates and the extra care she showed.”

About: I grew up in homes with animals of all kinds and even had the privilege of loving and training some of my own furry friends. I’m patient and adaptable to different needs from animal to animal. I only sit at animals homes currently because I find they do better in their own environments. Overall, I’m very open to the specific needs of the pet and parent. I work from home and my work days are mostly flexible which allows me to give as much time and attention as needed to each animal. I prefer to inquire and understand what normal is for you and your pet and adjust to this during my sit with them. I tend to keep things as normal and calm as possible for the animal.
“I felt so comfortable with Samantha taking care of Toby! I was very busy out of town and never once worried about him. Communication was fantastic and she loved all over him. He’s a happy kitty! Highly recommend.”
“Brand new client and I booked 1-2 days before I needed Antonio. So I had a lot of instructions for him and he handled it without any hiccups and took care of the pups in some ways I didn’t specifically note. Would def book Antonio again. Thank you!”

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Sunset Valley
Sonia was an amazing pet sitter for our cat Dottie! She was extremely communicative, left wonderful notes, cute pictures, and just a pleasant person all-around to get to know! This was our first time using Rover and she far exceeded our expectations. We felt extremely at ease knowing Dottie was in her care and will 100% be using her as a drop in sitter in the future. Thank you so much Sonia!

Rebecca was great! She watched our kitty while my wife and I were gone for our wedding week. Rebecca eased my anxiety of being away from Scarlett by being on time, consistently playing with her, and ensuring me her food and water were always refilled. Would definitely recommend Rebecca to watch your animal!

Taylor was an absolute sweetheart with our anxious cat, so gentle and calm and followed every instruction to perfection. Our cat was noticeably less "out of it" when we returned from our trip. Taylor even did some light cleaning before we got back, which was a lovely surprise!

Lauren was great! This was my first time using Rover so I was really nervous to leave my cats with someone. Lauren came to meet me and my cats beforehand which definitely calmed my nerves and sent me so many pictures while I was away. I cant recommend her enough!

Taylor is AMAZING!!! She has come through for us yet again on a last minute notice! Going on vacation is always stressful because of how much I worry about my cats, but Taylors updates made me feel so comfortable being out and about! I can’t recommend Taylor enough.

Ashley is the most caring sitter I’ve had. I have to away from my baby so some time and she graciously stepped in - in a short notice and has been taking care of Leo. Leo also is super cuddly with Ashley. I highly recommend Ashley and I have already booked her twice and new request is pending. Thank you Ashley, we appreciate you!

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Sunset Valley. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
