“Gretter was absolutely perfect! She took amazing care of my cat, sent great updates, and made everything completely stress-free. Will definitely be booking her again!”

“I left my little guy for the first time by himself over the weekend and I am so glad I had Kirby come by to check in on him! Her report cards are very thorough and detailed and made me very reassured that he was in safe hands❤️ Bengie will be looking forward to more visits from Kirby in the future!😊”

“Valerie was absolutely fantastic! We needed a last-minute booking and she really came through for us. She did a few drop-in visits, was always punctual, and sent us pictures of the pups so we could see how they were doing. On her way out, she even picked up a package for us which was helpful not having them out on the porch. She even left a little goodie bag for the dogs which we thought was a very thoughtful touch. We highly recommend her and would happily book her again!”

“Mara was awesome with our cats!! She was great at reaching out, and just generally checking in about the boys. She also was super attentive when we were teaching her how to administer mediation to one of our cats We will definitely be booking with her again!”

About: Hi! I have been providing pet care on and off for over twenty years. I've spent time as a shelter volunteer and even owned my own dog walking business. While I don't have pets of my own, I am a big animal lover and I adore taking care of my friends and neighbors fur babes. I am a full time student, taking classes from home, and hoping to spend my extra time hanging with your pet! I am a full time student with a full semester of online classes which allows me a lot of freedom and a bit of extra time. I generally work from home and don't spend much time away. I'm also an avid walker and love to be outside (when it's not SO hot) whether walking in the neighborhood or out on the trails. I don't have a fenced yard as I live in an apartment complex, but we do have a gated dog run. I have a lot of past experience working with leash training and I'm confident with dogs of all kinds, regardless of reaction levels. I prefer to work with your pet, not against them, and I am adaptable to their specific needs.
“James is simply the BEST! Our little old cat, Bella doesn't make friends easily and she took to him right away. James went above and beyond providing the best care to put our minds at ease. He also sent the the best pictures. We will definitely be asking him back to visit Bella.”

“Margaret did an amazing job with my pets! I came home to very happy, content and well taken care of animals! She was very communicative with updates during her visits and pictures!”

“Kayla was very attentive with chicken, chicken enjoyed her treats and pet pets. Everything went according to plan. Will request Kayla to visit kitties again in the future.”

“Laura was amazing and was great with our quirky huskies. She provided excellent care and you can tell she’s a pro dog mom! Thanks for taking them out on walks and cleaning up where needed. We really appreciate it.”

“Adriana was very communicative and prompt. She completed every guideline and provided photos and videos of all drop ins. I will use her services again and again. Adriana is very professional and you can tell she loves animals.”

About: I’ve cared for fur family members for myself, friends and family. I pride myself in being someone you can more than rely on. I will treat your babies like they are my own because I know how hard it is to be anxious about your loved one while you’re away. I work as a hairstylist during the day, but I make my own schedule so I’m trying to optimize my free time as much as possible. I can squeeze in drop in visits/walks before and after my work day. I have the utmost respect for other people’s things. I will treat everything as my own, from house sitting, to pet sitting, to babysitting, you will never have to worry. I’m an excellent communicator, if there ever is any anxiety and will happily put you at ease with physical proof.
“Sierra was absolutely amazing with my kitty Tutu! I was really stressed and nervous about leaving since this was the longest I’d ever been away, and my cat was also on new medications and needing to be nebulized at the time. Sierra was incredibly detail-oriented, thoughtful, and spent so much time with Tutu, making sure she got the best possible care. She kept me updated on everything throughout the trip and made me feel like she was carrying for Tutu as if it were her own. I came home to a happy and well cared for kitty and an apartment in perfect condition! I’d 100% book Sierra again and can’t recommend her enough!!!”

“I’m so glad we went with Lizeth! She dropped in and checked on our two cats while we were away for a weekend trip. It was a last minute ask, and she pulled through! Even coming the day before to meet our littles. She has 4 cats of her own and I could tell she was comfortable with ours. Would recommend working with her and would hire again. ☺️”

About: I have been pet and house sitting for 15 years, training dogs for 8 and have had my own local R+ training company for 2! Right now summer is a slow season and I am looking to help out the community by providing top notch companion animal care m/w/f and weekends! I have 8 years of training experience, first aid, enrichments and animal communication experience that allow me to give the personalized structure your dog or cat deserves while you are away. Ensuring they have the best time. At my own home I have a fenced in yard and two well socialized dogs who would always love to have a friend join in on the fun. I have open and crated spaces to make sure they get the space they need to run, play and decompress.
“This was our first time using Rover. Victoria had already had a visit to meet our 3 fur babies and they liked her immediately. She did a drop in visit and I was pleased to get a report that even our outside dog who is typically leary of strangers, greeted her with a wagging tail! Victoria is kind and has a way with animals so don’t hesitate to call on her for your pet needs.”

Amber was recommended to us by friends and we are very glad for that! Amber was able to accommodate a last minute booking and took great care of our 3 cats. They seemed very relaxed when we returned. She even cleaned out the litter even though I had said she didn’t need to worry about it! It was a nice surprise. Thank you, Amber!

Chelsea did a wonderful job taking care of our girls while we were away! She was caring and attentive, and knowing they were in such good hands made being away so much easier and less stressful. It gave us peace of mind knowing Chelsea was there looking after them. We truly appreciate all the love and care she gave our girls and would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring cat sitter!

Gil Roy made our first time using rover so smooth and easy. Daisy was taken great care of and even got some playtime. Gil Roy also brought to our attention an issue with the entryway to our balcony, which is such a huge deal when it comes to us being able to trust using a service like this. This was an amazing experience that allowed us to be able to have a get away for the weekend without having to stress Daisy out with boarding for 1 night.

Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Pilot Knob. On Rover:

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
