Ryan is our go-to walker for our Blue Heeler pup! Nova comes back tired and happy after her walks with Ryan and seems to genuinely enjoy the time out with him. He’s always on time, sends pictures of the walks and is super responsive with his communication. I am grateful to have found him on Rover and will definitely be booking walks and sits with him in the future!

About: I’ve been a dog owner for 9 years and care for my own dog Quavo daily — walks, feeding, play, the whole routine. I understand what it takes to keep a pup happy, stimulated, and on schedule. I treat every dog I care for the same way I’d want someone to treat mine. I work from home running my own business, so I’m available throughout the day. Pets get consistent attention, timely walks, and are never left alone for long stretches! 🐾🐶🐕 I treat every pet like my own. My home is calm, clean, and dog-friendly. For drop-ins and walks, I follow the owner’s routine closely — feeding schedules, leash preferences, commands — so pets feel comfortable and secure the whole time!

About: Dogs have always been a huge part of my life, and I truly love caring for them! I’ve spent the last two years working at a dog park, where I handle dogs of all sizes, breeds, and personalities every day. I also train dogs and dog sit for many of my regulars, so I’ve built strong, trusting relationships with both pets and their owners. I have experience with everything from playful puppies to senior dogs who need a little extra care and patience. Your dog’s safety, happiness, and comfort are always my top priorities. I pay close attention to behavior and make sure every dog feels secure and loved. I’ll also keep you updated with photos and messages so you can relax knowing your pup is in great hands! I am available all times throughout the day to care for your animal. Your dogs routine is part of my daily routine. I make enough time to be sure that your pet gets the best care and attention it needs to be loved and happy. I take a detail oriented approach to pet care by following all instructions carefully whether it’s feeding schedules, medication, or specific routines. I keep litter boxes clean, monitor their health and behavior, and make sure they get daily interaction and enrichment. I also respect the client’s home by keeping things tidy and secure, and I provide consistent updates for peace of mind. I have a nice good size back yard that is fenced for your pup.

About: Hello there! If you’re on my page, thank you so much for considering me to care for your pets! ❤️ A little about me — I lived in Austin for 12 years and have two dogs of my own. I have adopted and cared for dogs most of my life and have pet sat for friends & family for many years. Caring for animals is one of my passions in life, my dream someday would be to own an animal farm one day! *wouldn’t that be nice* I work remote, so I have the flexibility to do Rover on the side and have been on the platform (as a sitter) since 2020. I’m punctual, animal sensitive meaning I am aware of animal emotions and behavior, and warning — will send lots of videos and photos of your furry ones! If you decide to book me, I’ll work with you to ensure you’re 100% comfortable with the schedule, any accommodations as needed, and respect any wishes you may have. I ask for my clients to write out a list for any medications, specific requests, etc before the stay. My goal is to make sure your furry ones are safe and looked after and for my clients to have the best experience with Rover ☺️ ~ 2025 ~ I try to be available for all services on Thanksgiving/Christmas Day/majority of holidays with the exception of Christmas Day/New Year’s. Please note that these hours assume that your fur babies can be left alone for 2-4 hours at a time. Sometimes, I like to check in on my own dogs, run errands, complete chores at home. The number of hours away can be discussed on a case-by-case basis. ~ Safety ~ I prefer meeting my new client pets at their home or a dog park since that seems the most convenient for clients and comfortable for the pets. As per Rover’s terms & conditions, I prefer to keep communication via the Rover app, for my safety and the clients! Of course, once a booking has been confirmed, my clients can pass along their cell phone # for emergencies.

About: I’ve had dogs since I was a child and currently have three in my home! Dogs are family to me and treating them like so if my number one priority! I work either mornings or nights, usually going in at 10 am or 5 pm. This means walks are usually in the morning or in the early evening. We are early risers so our days usually start at 7 am unless it’s a day off them the pups and I sleep in a little. Dinner is usually at 4 to give them a chance to potty before I go into work. We have a fenced in yard with a doggie door so when we are home in the day time they are free to roam and go potty as they please. Our cat is extremely friendly with dogs but we have one bedroom gated off as a sanctuary for her. Her litter box is also in a separate closet with an even smaller cat door so only she can access it. I live with a roommate who also has lots of experience with dogs so and although I will be the one taking full care of your baby you can trust that this is a safe place for them.

About: I reside in South East Austin. Currently only taking house sitting requests and drop ins. Looking to build a strong base of happy clients. My experience includes puppies, adult and senior dogs. I have experience with giving medication as well. I’m currently working part time so plenty of time to care for your fur babies! I am completely open on weekends and weekdays! I prefer to do house sitting or drop ins. I do not have a fenced yard so if boarding, I will need to walk your dog. I am right by a huge park so plenty of room to roam and sniff! I have a large livingroom so if crating is needed then no problem! I personally prefer against crating unless absolutely necessary. I like to treat them as if they are my own pet! Lot’s of cuddles and access to the couch and bed! *Currently not accepting boarding*

About: The bigger, the better! I love giant breeds. Until 2023, I had a Great Dane (Cajun), and one cat, Yoda. I lost them both within a week of each other because they were so bonded. I have fostered both dogs and cats, making sure that they go to homes where they will be loved and cared for. Each animal has had specific care requirements and I understand that yours will as well. I’m a teacher, so I work from home in the summer doing freelance work. I can be home as much as each animal needs. I’m accustomed to animals being part of the family and sharing the furniture, the bed, and the foot space. I have a separate space for them to eat, sleep, or take a break from humans, and I have plenty of space for crates of all sizes. I do have a toddler who is an animal lover as well.

About: I may be new to professional pet care, but I truly enjoy spending time with animals. Over the past year, I have helped care for family members' pets by walking them, feeding them, giving them attention, and making sure they felt safe and comfortable. I understand that every pet has a different personality, and I always try to be patient, gentle, and attentive to their needs. I am responsible, dependable, and committed to following your care instructions carefully so your pet receives the best possible care. I currently work part-time, which gives me plenty of flexibility for pet care. I have availability on many weekdays as well as weekends, and I will do my best to accommodate your schedule. I enjoy being active, so taking dogs on walks fits naturally into my routine. Your pet's safety and comfort are my top priorities. I carefully follow each owner's instructions regarding walking routes, feeding, medications if needed, and any special preferences. During walks, I pay close attention to my surroundings and make sure pets stay safe and secure at all times. I believe in treating every pet with kindness, patience, and respect, just as if they were my own.

About: I started pet sitting when I was 18 to earn some extra money in college, and I’ve been doing it ever since. I’ve taken care of dogs and cats of all breeds, ages, and sizes, and I’m great at following special instructions. Additionally, photography is a hobby of mine, so there’s a pretty good chance that you’ll get some good pics of your pet in the process. I’m currently in graduate school, so I have a good amount of flexibility in my schedule, whether it’s during the week or over the weekend. I know how important your pet is as a member of your family! I’m happy to meet their needs, whether it’s walking, playing, belly-rubbing, or comforting them.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
