About: I've taken care of dogs of all kinds since I was 10. Neighbors relied on me to let their dogs out while they were gone! I prioritize pet care and love to make sure the doggos get plenty of exercise and stay healthy! Give me the cat food recipe and I'll mix it. I leave everything as I found it when pet sitting in house and ensure that your fur babies have a safe and fun time! I send lots of cute pictures so that you can have plenty of cute updates to share with family, friends and coworkers.
“Ryan is our go-to walker for our Blue Heeler pup! Nova comes back tired and happy after her walks with Ryan and seems to genuinely enjoy the time out with him. He’s always on time, sends pictures of the walks and is super responsive with his communication. I am grateful to have found him on Rover and will definitely be booking walks and sits with him in the future!”

“Gihan is the best. She was super sweet, and took great care of my pups. She also sent over a bunch of pictures which is always great. :) Definitely going to reach out to her again next time I need help with pups. Thanks again for all your help, Gihan!!”

“Lucia was EXHAUSTED after her walk! It was perfect. She is so sweet and even had an earlier time available to come which was amazing. 10/10 most definitely recommend her Lucia approved as well”

About: I genuinely love being around dogs and understand how important it is to have someone caring and trustworthy looking after your pet. I’m patient, attentive, and treat every dog like my own, making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away. I enjoy keeping pets active with fun walks, playtime, and lots of attention, while also respecting their routines and individual personalities. I’m especially gentle with shy dogs and patient with puppies or older pets that may need extra care. 🐾❤️ Currently my main job, so it’s a regular part of my daily and weekly routine. My schedule is flexible and I’m able to prioritize each pet’s needs. Whether at my home or yours, expect a secure environment, personalized attention, and tailored activities for their well-being and happiness. Your pets are in safe hands!
About: I’ve been around dogs my whole life and have had my own dogs over the past 12 years. My friends would say I’m something of a “dog whisperer” because I connect with them on a deep level. I strive to understand them and make sure they are as happy as they possibly can be. That means understanding what dogs natural tendencies are and what stimulates them then using that information to tailor an amazing experience for that dog. I see them as individuals (as we all should) and I offer them nothing but my respect. I think this gives me a unique approach to caring and loving the animals in my life. I work from home so my schedule is pretty flexible! I can start and stop based off the needs of you and your little buddy! I’m happy to accommodate what you need! For visits, the first think I asses is safety for myself and your pet. I also make sure I have a firm understanding of your pets needs and as well as any additional instructions you have for me. I have a very calming presence around dogs no matter how much they might bark at first or feel weary - it’s natural for them to react. So I take the time, if needed, to earn your dogs trust by letting them take their time to warm up to me.
“Gil is a great dog walker! Very friendly and understanding of dogs. You can tell her really cares about your pet. I appreciate the updates he gives and the effort he puts in!! : )”

About: I consider myself a dog lover since I was a kid! I grew up with two dogs and have been dogsitting for three years now. My wife and I have a lovely, very friendly Chihuahua, his name is Domingo and he’s 1 year old. We recently moved from Downtown Austin where we used to dog sit for our neighbors and people in our building - from puppies to senior dogs (small-medium size only). Looking to meet more dogs in the area to take care of! I'm currently searching for a job and decided to join Rover as a dogsitter in the meantime. As result, my schedule is extremely flexible throughout the whole week. If you need someone to take care of your doggo, please reach out and I'll be there. My wife and I live in a lovely-cozy three bedroom house in Easton Park (Southeast Austin area). We generally care for small and medium size dogs since we can accommodate those more easily in our space. We live close to multiple parks and walking trails for ideal dog walking adventures and sniffaris :)
About: Im back! What can I say, I will love your pet like it was mine. Friends and family often ask me to look after their fur babies when they are away because they know they will be nurtured , loved and watched over. Pet sitting was one of my first gigs as a kid and sitting as an adult brings me wholesome joy. My day is pretty flexible because I work from home all but two days a week. My evenings and weekends are free. I have time in my day for walks, check ins and whatever else for your fur children. I prefer caring for your pet in your home. Familiarity is important for your pet. I can follow any rules or preference that you have for your fur baby. I will treat your space with respect and clean up behind myself and your fur baby.
“Laura helped me out with a last minute walking and made sure my girl got a bit drink of water before putting her back in her kennel! Would rebook with her in the future!”

About: Hello!! I have a deep love for animals and grew up with 2 dogs who I loved dearly. I pet sat all throughout highschool before joining the military and very regularly for 2 huskies while i was in. I just got out of the military and came across rover which seems like an excellent way for me to satisfy my love for animals, care for pets, and make some extra money.:)) I have a flexible schedule, so I’m able to adjust my day around your pet’s routine. Whether that’s morning walks, midday check-ins, or evening care, I make sure your pet’s needs are always a priority. I build my day around them so they feel comfortable and well cared for. I am available on weekdays and most weekends. Hi! I provide in-home pet sitting so your pet can stay comfortable in their own space while you’re away. I stick closely to your pet’s routine, including feeding, walks, playtime, and any special care they need. I’m very attentive to behavior and make sure your pet feels safe, relaxed, and loved the entire time. I also keep your home tidy and send regular updates so you have peace of mind.

About: I've had dogs in the house since I was 6, and today I share mine with Bucky, my bff rescue shepherd — self-trained from day one, with a rock-solid heel and off-leash recall to show for it. I offer dog walking, house-sitting, and check-in visits, and I'm happy to fold in whatever training habits you already have in place — reinforcing heel, working on walking etiquette, or just making sure your pup gets a solid outing (Onion Creek trails included, if that fits). If it's a good match, I'm also open to having your dog stay with me directly. I frequently look after friends' dogs myself, so this isn't new territory — just something I genuinely enjoy. My approach is all about consistency, confidence, and empathy; every dog's different, and a good relationship starts with meeting them on their terms. I work freelance from home, so I'm around, flexible, and rarely without my treat pouch. Would love to help with your dogs in any way I can. I work from home part-time, so my schedule is flexible and I’m home for most of the day — no long stretches where a dog would be left alone. I’m consistent with morning and evening walks, and add a midday walk when weather allows. Throughout the day, dogs get playtime and treats woven into the routine, not just tacked on at the end. I also have a car with a dog-proofed backseat, which makes vet runs, park trips, or pickups/drop-offs easy and low-stress. Every visit is built around the pet’s normal routine — feeding, walks, and playtime stay consistent with what they’re used to. I keep a close eye for safety indoors and out, secure gates/doors, and make sure water and food are always accessible. For transport, my car has a dog-proofed backseat. I check in regularly and adjust based on each pet’s comfort level and needs.
About: Take a peek into my life! IG: belle_lambert I bring a unique blend of rural and urban pet care experience. I grew up on a farm surrounded by animals—horses, dogs, cats, goats, and chickens—so caring for animals has always been second nature. That hands-on upbringing taught me responsibility, intuition, and how to understand animals' needs. For the past five years, I’ve raised my Australian Shepherd in an urban setting, giving me experience with high-energy breeds, leash training, and adapting routines to busy city life. Whether it’s senior pets, puppies, or animals with big personalities, I bring calm, capable, and compassionate care rooted in a lifetime of experience. Pet care is a meaningful part of my daily routine. I start each morning with a walk or play session—it’s a great way to connect and set a positive tone for the day. Throughout the day, I build in time for feeding, potty breaks, and check-ins to ensure pets feel safe and cared for. On weekends or evenings, I prioritize longer walks, enrichment, and cuddles. Whether I’m balancing research or writing as a PhD student, I make sure pets in my care are always a top priority. Their routine becomes part of mine. I prioritize creating a calm, safe, and pet-friendly environment—whether in my home or a client’s. I follow each pet’s routine closely, from feeding schedules to preferred walking routes and play styles. I take time to build trust, especially with shy or anxious pets, using patience and positive reinforcement. Safety is always top of mind: I double-check leashes and gates, avoid off-leash situations unless in fully enclosed areas, and monitor for any signs of stress or discomfort. I also provide regular updates to give pet parents peace of mind. My goal is to make every pet feel at home, secure, and loved.
About: I have taken care of many animals for the past 9 years and enjoy meeting each and every one. I am very familiar with dachshunds, corgis, pit bulls, and chihuahuas, but am open to any and all pets. I am a stay at home mom so my schedule is very open and flexible. Your pet will be in great care to not get left alone. I have a fenced yard and a baby gate to keep pets from walking up stairs if they have issues with trying to walk up stairs. I can kennel pets if needed as well as supply a water and food bowl.
About: I have experience caring for cats, dogs, and some reptiles. I also have experience caring for plants, so all of your living babies will be safe with me! I’m well-rounded, patient, and will treat your babies as my own. I have shadowed at a vet clinic and interned at a 24 hour animal hospital. I also took veterinary classes in high school, and helped out in the grooming facility at the school. I’ve always had a pet at any given moment throughout my life. I even cared for 9 dogs at one time! I am available to house sit and care for your pets full-time! I’d like to keep visits and walks between 8am-7pm. Send me a message! :) A typical day includes making sure your pet feels safe, comfortable, and cared for. I start with feeding according to their routine, fresh water, and a potty break or litter check. Throughout the day, I provide walks (if applicable), playtime, enrichment activities, and plenty of affection always tailored to your pet’s energy level and personality. I’m attentive to behavior, appetite, and mood, and I follow any specific instructions you leave. I also make time for quiet rest so pets don’t feel overstimulated, and I’m happy to send updates or photos so you can relax knowing your pet is in good hands.
About: I have owned dogs nearly my entire life. I have at least 22 years of experience raising and caring for dogs of all kinds. I have personally owned golden retrievers, a terrier mix, and a pit bull rescue in the past. I do not currently own my own dog due to my current move to Austin, but I frequently dog sit for my friends and family. I am an avid dog lover and have experience training puppies, administering medication, and attending to strict dog scheduling needs. I am currently in between jobs and will be available 24/7 during the week and on weekends until the beginning of October. At that time I will still be available, but my schedule will be more limited. I live in a dog-friendly apartment with my boyfriend who is also an avid dog lover and has owned dogs his entire life. We live in downtown Austin, but we live directly across the street from a 7 mile hiking trail, and about a block away from a large dog park. Daily walks, runs, and playing in the dog park will all be routine in your dog’s care.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
