“Kirby was great! She never left my pup for too long and stayed with him overnight. My pup can be anxious with new people but she was great at being patient and making him comfortable. I was happy to get regular updates on him as well. I definitely recommend Kirby for your pet sitting needs!”

“Ryan was very attentive and made sure our Bodie was well taken care of while we were out of town. We got plenty of updates and photos which we loved. Our house was left the way we left it and our Bodie was very Happy… Ryan even bought him some treats while we were gone , so sweet. Thanks Ryan for caring for our Bodie like he was your own :)”

“Cienne did a great job caring for Pepper! I was able to relax while visiting family knowing she was in good hands. Communication was great, and I would definitely use Cienne again. I would recommend her to anyone looking for a caring and reliable sitter!”

“Brianna is very flexible and communicative! We contacted her when we needed a sitter last-minute, and she really came through for us! She accommodated our complicated feeding instructions, adjusted seamlessly as we gave her additionally guidance, and always sent lots of photos. Highly recommend!”
About: I've taken care of my own dogs since they were puppies up to their now senior age of 10, so I know how to care for dogs across all ages. But not only my own. I've helped care for people with senior dogs, volunteered at pet shelters, and generally tried to make the lives of as many pets as I can happier! I love pets (especially dogs), so the more time I can spend with our four-legged friends, the better! The only thing preventing me from spending time with other people's pets is taking care of my own two dogs :) In your house, I would care for your dog as if it were my own! My dogs can sometimes be a bit rowdy, so I don't often have other dogs stay at my place for long periods of time.

“Dina took great care of both my dog and my house while I was away! My dog Penny takes a while to warm up to new people but she seemed very happy with Dina.”

“I would give Monica 10 stars if I could! I highly recommend her. Monica stayed at our house and watched our cat and dog. She provided multiple updates (including beautiful pictures!) daily. She exceeded all expectations and we returned to happy, healthy animals. Highly trustworthy and dependable. Highly recommend!”

“Gihan watched our baby for the first time and was wonderful with him. Very patient with his fussy quirks and really taking the time to get to know him better. We appreciated her sending updates and plenty of photos to keep us posted on how things were coming along throughout the day. We already have her booked again for our next time away!”

“Our little Tasmanian devil had an absolute blast with Derek! Having him home sit was the best decision, house was clean, dog was happy, great communication while we were gone, need I go on? 10/10 already recommending to friends”

“Clair was great! Was very attentive, sent pictures and notes about how my 2 kitties were doing and even read through my crazy long cat manual/notes. Will definitely be reaching out again!”

“Christine is the best! We were gone for 6 days, and she handled all of our dogs quirky and lovable obsessions. Also we had an unusual home and yard issue which she helped us with. House was just like we left it but, “a much happier place when we returned. A lot of dog loving going on. Jinx , our 16 yr old border collie told us she will miss her until the next time.”
“Kimberly was the best! She stayed at my place and everything was tidy when I got back. She was great about sending photos while I was away and communicated clearly. She has a natural ability with dogs and you can tell she really loves them. I’m looking forward to booking her again. :)”

“Woody was great to work with. Our dogs were very well cared for. Communication was consistent and helpful. Our house was really well taken care of. We look forward to having Woody stay with our dogs again.”

“Amber was absolutely fantastic. Could not ask for a better person to look after my pup! She’s caring, thoughtful, hardworking, and clean! She sent me constant updates, and kept me up to date with all the medications my dog was taking at the time. All of this after dealing with a car accident! She is committed, kind, experienced and the best experience I have a had with a pet sitter to date! My pup can’t wait to spend time with Amber again!”

“Crystal was a great sitter- kept my pup company and gave him lots of attention, sent daily updates and pics, and took good care of the house. Would def use her services again and recommend her!”

“Ashleigh was awesome! Super patient with us to set up the booking and is just such a sweet, kind person! She sent updates with pictures throughout our trip and took excellent care of our fetch-obsessed retriever! Tuesday definitely got extra exercise during Ashleighs stay. She also made sure she wasn’t left alone at the house for too long. Came home to the house looking great and Tuesday happy and healthy! Would definitely use Ashleigh again!”

About: I’m Jacob, a full time nurse, looking for a side hustle to help pay off my student loans :) If you trust me with your pet(s) I will make them my top priority. I will shower them with attention, and take lots of pictures to update you with about our day. I work 3 days a week. I have plenty of free time during the week for your pet’s needs. It would be such a fulfilling past time for me to care for your animals. I live alone in a quiet apartment with no other animals. There’s a good amount of space. Quick and easy walk to the trail around lady bird lake.

About: I've had pets of all kinds my entire life (cats, dogs, turtles, fish) and have always had a special place of love and compassion for animals in my heart. I even started a neighborhood dog walking business when I was 11. I have been pet sitting for friends, family and strangers for over 10 years. I have a schedule that permits me to give my full attention to your needs. Please keep me in mind for your next trip! I am a musician so if I have work it is typically only for a few hours. My schedule is also extremely flexible so if I need to dedicate specific hours to your pet I can adjust my scheduling to suit your pet's needs. I care with complete compassion. Animals are like babies to me and my heart and actions are always soft toward them. I love to play and keep them entertained as well as give all of the scratches and belly rubs to keep them perfectly loved while you're away. I know it's really hard to leave them for trips and it means a lot to have good care available for them. I'm your gal when it comes to trustworthy care!

Daniela was wonderful with our pets! We felt very comfortable and our dogs loved her from the beginning. She was able to give them medications, stay at our house, and gave them plenty of supervised time outside. Everything was in great condition upon our return. I highly recommend her for your pets needs!
suzette went above and beyond our expectations for our babies! she was able to get us in last minute before our trip and we are so grateful we found her. she sent pictures of our pets often, took careful consideration of their unique needs, and even trimmed our dog’s nails for him. on top of that, we came back to our place being cleaner than we left it! i highly recommend booking suzette to take care of your pets.

Hailey was absolutely amazing with my two dogs, Spaceship and Orbit! She took care of them for three days and went above and beyond. Spaceship is usually nervous around new people, but she warmed up to Hailey right away thanks to her calm, gentle demeanor. Orbit is a total wild child, and Hailey handled her energy with no problem at all. She sent regular photos and updates, and even noticed a small nervous habit that one of the dogs has — which really showed how attentive she is. Zero hassle, completely professional, and just a genuinely great person to trust with your pets. I’ll definitely be booking her again, especially if you’ve got some picky pups like mine!

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Pilot Knob walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Pilot Knob maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Pilot Knob choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
