“Mariah stayed in our home and dog sat our two dachshunds over the weekend. She's really genuine and reliable & honest person. She took great care of our fur babies and our home and followed all the instructions we left. I will definitely rebook with her again in the future. It's hard to find people you can count on and trust but she checked all our boxes and was great!!! I highly recommend her if you need a dog sitter!”

“Michael always does a wonderful job watching our critters. He takes good care of our home and makes sure that our dogs and cat are well cared for when we are away. We are very happy and grateful for Michael's services.”

“Johanna was fantastic with Luna and Pete. They were very comfortable and happy with her and instantly cuddled with her the day we left. When we arrived back home they were happy and well cared for. I highly recommend Johanna.”

“Rory is pure magic, the kind of soul you feel lucky to have found in this lifetime. From the very first meeting, she radiated warmth, kindness, and a gentle grace that our babies trusted instantly. There’s something truly special about her, an old-soul tenderness mixed with genuine devotion to the animals she cares for. She showered our pets with the same love, patience, and presence we would want for them ourselves. Every day away felt effortless because of her, daily photo (she is an amazing photographer as well ) updates and heartfelt messages that made us feel like we never really left. Clean, polished, thoughtful, and endlessly attentive, she thinks of details most people wouldn’t even consider. Rory isn’t just a pet sitter, she’s a guardian angel with a leash in one hand and a whole lot of stardust in the other. Our babies adore her, we adore her, and we simply wouldn’t trust this kind of love to anyone else. Out of this world, truly. ✨🐾 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐”

“Jeff is great. Extremely reliable and compassionate with my dogs. He took great care of them. And left my house in the same condition as it was when I left. I highly recommend him. I have had a lot of problems with Rover in Austin and Jeff is one of the few sitters I feel comfortable leaving my dogs with”

“Christine is the best! We were gone for 6 days, and she handled all of our dogs quirky and lovable obsessions. Also we had an unusual home and yard issue which she helped us with. House was just like we left it but, “a much happier place when we returned. A lot of dog loving going on. Jinx , our 16 yr old border collie told us she will miss her until the next time.”
“Joely was wonderful! She kept Ginger company for 3 days and helped me out SO incredibly much. She was very flexible in accommodating our unique situation while we were visiting the city. We greatly appreciate your help these days! Thank you Joely! 💕💕💕”

“Michelle was a fantastic sitter for us, she was able to accommodate us on short notice and work with our schedule for the day to ensure that our boy had someone to keep him company while we were gone :). We got updates, pictures, and she took him on two walks that day to make sure he had an outlet for all his energy. After our experience with Michelle, we'll definitely be using her again!”

“Nicole is the best, and me and Cubbie are lucky to have her to help us out. My lil man is having issues and she handled his issues with care and professionalism. Nicole's awesome and we appreciate her.”

“We’ve had Crystal house sit with our goldendoodle twice and she’s been just a great help! We’ve gone on two long weekend trips and have come back to a clean house and a happy cared for pup. She sends pictures and updates, and follows any requests I’ve made. I highly recommend her! :)”

“Ashleigh was awesome! Super patient with us to set up the booking and is just such a sweet, kind person! She sent updates with pictures throughout our trip and took excellent care of our fetch-obsessed retriever! Tuesday definitely got extra exercise during Ashleighs stay. She also made sure she wasn’t left alone at the house for too long. Came home to the house looking great and Tuesday happy and healthy! Would definitely use Ashleigh again!”

“Elena was great and my pups loved her! I never had to wonder what they were up to because she sent plenty of pictures! They got lots of walks and playtime and seemed sad she was gone when I arrived home! I would definitely book her again!”

About: I have been blessed with many wonderful pets in my life, both big and small! I currently own a horse, Felix. Unfortunately, my dog Alfie passed at 17 years old in January. Although I am not quite ready for a new in home pet of my own, I'd love to help you with yours! I have owned both cats and dogs through my life from puppy/kitten stage to senior life. I have experience with watching dogs, cats, and horses. I have no problem administering medication and I'm comfortable with all ages, sizes, and breeds. 95% of my job is working from home, because of that I am quite flexible in my schedule. On occasion, I do travel for work/personal but will do my best to keep my Rover calendar up to date. My home is pet free, which means your pup will get my full attention! I live in a 2 bedroom apartment. I have a nice sized patio that is fully covered. The area has a lot of green space and sidewalks perfect for a long stroll. There is also a dog park available if your dog particularly enjoys being social. I allow dogs on my furniture and bed, however have no issue with sticking to the rules if that is not part of your daily routine.

“Rasika was amazing to work with. I needed someone very last minute and she was very fast to respond and arrange for us to introduce her to Ekko. She has good experience working with dogs and is great at ensuring they are comfortable and relaxed. She sent very frequent updates and photos during her time with Ekko to show things are going well. Highly recommend working with her!”

“Kalena was an amazing sitter for our pup! He is very high maintenance and requires a lot of attention. She took great care of him and he was in excellent shape when we returned home. Kalena sent several updates each day with pictures and videos. We would recommend Kalena every time!”

“Julie far exceeded our incredibly lofty expectations when it came to taking care of our pets. 100% trustworthy, 100% reliable, great communicator, incredibly thorough all in all an absolute professional. We were able to completely relax while traveling, Julie shared daily updates, in all honesty our house and our pets have never been cared for so thoroughly, we would absolutely 100% recommend Julie and hope we get the chance to utilize her services again.”

Maritza cared for our 2 huskies, one that needs extra care due to both rear legs having had surgery. We received daily updates on how they were and on our return home, Maritza checked in with us to ensure we were back with them, which is both thoughtful and highly valuable. Maritza is more than capable of handling / caring for larger dogs and we're very grateful for her.
We knew from the minute Harper met our dog, Stella, and cat, Jack, that she was a perfect fit. On her meet and greet, she asked the most thoughtful and detailed questions about their day to day, relationship to each other, routine, house things - everything. She sent wonderful pictures, funny anecdotes, and the animals were always by her side it seemed. She even noticed the little things, like how Stella had been walking funny and ran it by us to see if anything was off (she’s okay! Just getting old!). Beyond that, our house was in wonderful shape, our plants alive, our garbage taken out, our mail gathered. Everything. She truly went above and beyond and we can’t wait to have her petsit again. THANK YOU 💜🐶😺

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred San Leanna walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in San Leanna maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in San Leanna choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
