“I can't recommend Megan enough! She is reliable and went above and beyond to make sure that my dogs weren't only cared for, but also having a great time while I was gone. I always have a tough time finding a sitter because one of my dogs is aggressive towards other dogs and nervous when meeting new people. But from the first meet-and-greet, it was obvious that Megan was an animal lover and experienced with nervous dogs, so mine warmed up to her in no time! She sent regular updates with photos to let me know what they were doing, and when my trip was unexpectedly extended another day, she offered to stay longer which made my life a whole lot easier. I highly recommend Megan to anyone looking for a sitter, and she'll be the first person I reach out to when I need another one in the future!”

The concierge to my building lost my key and Jazelina waited for over 3 hours (until 1:45 in the morning) to resolve the situation and get access to the apartment to care for my dog. She is so dedicated and compassionate and we never ever have to worry while we are away as long as she is with our dog. As always, I recommend her over and over! “For those of you who get bored with long reviews, let me save you some time: stop scrolling through profiles and BOOK HOPE. If we could leave a 10-star review for her, we absolutely would. For the past eight years, we've had a wonderful pet sitter who kept our pets in her home whenever we traveled. We knew her, trusted her implicitly, and most importantly, our animals adored her. This year, however, she wasn't available during the dates we'd be away, and I immediately panicked. Where was I going to find an A-level replacement with only a week to spare? We've had less-than-stellar experiences with boarding facilities in the past, so that wasn't an option. After exhausting my personal network, I pulled up Rover. I started scrolling through profiles, and while many people seemed great, none truly stood out. Then I came across Hope's profile, which boldly stated, "I'll care for them like they're my own." Okay, you've got my attention. As I continued reading, it became clear that Hope was a thorough, thoughtful communicator with a flexible schedule and a genuinely nurturing heart—qualities that were important to us. Since I needed to make a decision quickly, I reached out right away. She responded within 20 minutes, confirmed her availability, and patiently waited while I finalized our travel details. Once everything was settled, she scheduled a meet-and-greet for the very next day. She arrived right on time with warm energy and a welcoming smile. We introduced her to our senior dog and mischievous cat, then spent time discussing her background, experience, expectations, medications, feeding routines, overnight care, and all the details that come with leaving your pets. One thing that impressed me was the quality of her questions—she brought up things I hadn't even considered. By the end of the visit, I felt a tremendous sense of relief. I knew our fur babies would be in good hands, and I was convinced that her profile tagline was a true statement. When we left for our trip, we felt confident about their care, though naturally a little nervous about how they would handle our absence. By the end of the first day, we had already received photos and a detailed update. What immediately stood out was Hope's honesty. She didn't simply tell us everything was “fine”—she shared that they seemed a little sad and were clearly adjusting to the change, but she was confident they'd settle into a routine in no time. That level of transparency reassured me that she was truly paying attention and interacting with them, not just stopping by to refill food bowls and move on with her day. The first few days sounded like an adjustment period. There was some pouting, lower energy, and understandable reluctance to embrace their new human. Since our pets had never stayed in our home without us before, I worried they might struggle to adapt to the new arrangement. Thankfully, the transition was short-lived, and before long everyone had found their groove. Every single day, Hope sent us colorful updates about their adventures. Even while on vacation, I found myself looking forward to her messages. They were informative, funny, and full of personality. More importantly, they made it obvious that she was spending real quality time with our pets and getting to know them as individuals. Through her words, I could see their personalities shining through. The photos and videos consistently showed happy, healthy, well-loved animals, which allowed us to fully relax and enjoy our trip. At the end of her stay, Hope let us know that we were out of dog food and offered to pick up a bag so we wouldn't have to rush out immediately after returning home. Our dog certainly wasn't going to starve, and he probably could have skipped a meal if necessary, but having that errand taken care of was truly above and beyond. It's those thoughtful details that separate a good pet sitter from an exceptional one. If you're still reading this review, I commend you—I usually tap out around sentence six myself. The truth is, I could probably write a short novel about how wonderful our first experience with Hope was, but I'll stop here so you can go book her before someone else does. We will absolutely be booking her again in the future, and I've already referred her to several friends. I'm going to miss getting her daily updates, and if I'm being completely honest, I'm pretty sure our pets are going to miss her even more.”

About: I have rescue for 40 years and really connect with animals. Sad to say, my daughter said sometimes better than people. They are people to me! Trust is always the most important for me with the animals I care for. I fit into their schedule mostly. So they can return home with out to much adjustment if at all. The dogs and cats I have been watching tend to like the fact that I can meet their needs as they should. I am semi retired and work at home so I like to keep there routines as much as I can. So that the owners do not have to go through all the transitions. I very active as well. I like to create a trust/bond so the owners that I have been helping to date tend to like that I am ready available because like consistency for they animal, they do not like to switch sitters. That I would prefer and so do most of my clients. They need to feel at home. Also would prefer to have knowledge of pets doctor. Never have needed. Also any personally traits on need to know basis. Every Pet in different. I have not had many bookings on the rover site to date, but always been 100%. Only because I have a lot clients that I have had for a long time on my own and at the complex I at. Lots of word of mouth for me. I only watch one on one at a time. I believe in giving my full attention one at a time. I like to keep with there owners schedule as best I can. So that is makes the transition of coming and going easy. Animals just seem to get attached to me. Trust is the most important for all animals I care for.
