About: i’ve been taking care of dogs since I was little. It was my responsibility to take care of our family dog. I love being in nature so walking your dogs is an amazing experience and great exercise for them! I love playing with dogs and getting their energy out! i’m currently working part-time and it’s very slow, so I would have a lot of time to spend with your pets and my work schedule is flexible. Therefore I’m willing to fit a lot in. I do not have a fenced yard, and I do have a dog at home who is not very friendly because of his old age and him being protective. But I am more than likely go to your home, so your pet feels most comfortable.

She was easy to talk to, had good communication during our time away, and went out of her way to care for our dog, Jovi (who can be a bit of a handful and hard to walk sometimes!). She even went out of her way to take him to his favorite park/trail one of the evenings. The coolest thing was finding out she had cared for Jovi when he was a puppy before we adopted him (we’ve had him since he was 1 year old). His previous owner had also contacted Christine for dog sitting, and she was able to look back through her pictures and find young puppy photos of our Jovi! It was totally meant to be! 😆 I highly recommend Christine for all of your animal care needs!”

About: I have rescue for 40 years and really connect with animals. Sad to say, my daughter said sometimes better than people. They are people to me! Trust is always the most important for me with the animals I care for. I fit into their schedule mostly. So they can return home with out to much adjustment if at all. The dogs and cats I have been watching tend to like the fact that I can meet their needs as they should. I am semi retired and work at home so I like to keep there routines as much as I can. So that the owners do not have to go through all the transitions. I very active as well. I like to create a trust/bond so the owners that I have been helping to date tend to like that I am ready available because like consistency for they animal, they do not like to switch sitters. That I would prefer and so do most of my clients. They need to feel at home. Also would prefer to have knowledge of pets doctor. Never have needed. Also any personally traits on need to know basis. Every Pet in different. I have not had many bookings on the rover site to date, but always been 100%. Only because I have a lot clients that I have had for a long time on my own and at the complex I at. Lots of word of mouth for me. I only watch one on one at a time. I believe in giving my full attention one at a time. I like to keep with there owners schedule as best I can. So that is makes the transition of coming and going easy. Animals just seem to get attached to me. Trust is the most important for all animals I care for.

About: I have had dogs within my family home my entire life (dachshund, cavalier king charles spaniel, chihuahua/Pomeranians, golden retrievers, blue heelers, border collies, chow, I feel like I have seen it all). As I grew up I went from a casual dog lover to someone who tried my best to understand my dogs' needs. Upon adopting the first dog of my own, I gravitated to more reactive and higher behavioral need pups. I found I could relate to these dogs and give them a safe space to build trust. I now have 3 dogs, who are all adopted and fearful in some way. I try my best to provide a steady approach to meeting and working with any dog I am with. So whether it is my sister's people-loving golden retrievers, my mom's tiny chihuahua puppy, or my fearful herding dogs, I find that dogs tend to warm up to me fairly quickly since I want to show them respect first and show I will approach them on their terms. In addition to everything above, I have helped to train multiple of the dogs within my family. Whether it is crate training for a puppy, working on separation anxiety for rescues, or finding the type of toy the dog like to play fetch with the most, I enjoy working with dogs in all of these ways. I'm currently working part-time, so I have plenty of time and flexibility to walk and visit with your dogs. Reach out to me to check my availability and we can work on a consistent time that will work for you and your pups. At home, I need to care for each of my 3 dogs in different ways. Two of them can be free in the house when we are out, and one needs to be crated. With that said I can work with each of your dogs in whatever way your dog is used to, or I can help train your dog if you need help with that. When outside, I will keep your dog on a leash unless I am in a fenced yard.

“Maddy is probably the best Rover sitter I’ve ever had. Fairly last second, we were able to find her to watch our boys who can’t be left home alone for 5 days straight. She was awesome. The boys were actually depressed watching her leave, we had to cheer them up but they waited at the door for her. If she is ever available again, she will be our go to. She even did random chores around the house that she didn’t need to do but was so sweet of her. The boys were well taken care of and she was super communicative about everything. I’ve never felt so stress free leaving my boys home alone before Maddy.”

About: Hi! I’m Brant, a 26-year-old professional who works from home in South Austin. I’m a native Texan from Houston, a proud Texas A&M graduate, and have called Austin home for more than four years. Animals have always been a major part of my life. I grew up caring for and raising dogs, and because my family raises horses, I also have experience around horses, Longhorns, and other farm animals. Over the past year, I’ve fostered several dogs to support local shelters, giving me experience helping unfamiliar pets settle into a new environment and feel safe. I’m comfortable caring for animals of different breeds, sizes, ages, energy levels, and personalities. Pets staying with me will rarely be left alone for extended periods, and I can adapt my routine around their normal feeding, exercise, medication, and sleep schedules. I live alone in a spacious 2,200-square-foot home in a quiet residential area of South Austin with a large, fully fenced backyard. This provides plenty of room for pets to play, explore, relax, or find a quiet space when they need one. Pets are welcome on my furniture and treated like members of the household unless their owners prefer that I maintain different boundaries. I understand that every animal has a unique personality, so I take time to learn each pet’s routine, comfort level, triggers, and style of care. I carefully follow all feeding, walking, medication, crate, and household instructions and will never take a pet on an outing or introduce it to another animal without the owner’s permission.
