About: I have experience watching dogs of all ages and sizes in NY and now Texas. I understand needs of dogs whether that be sensitive to noises, separation anxiety, etc - I’ve seen it all. Especially with my own six pound Chihuahua! Experience in administering medicine and training, I can help you and accommodate for anything you may need. I have tons of love to give and will provide an easy and calming experience for you and your family. I work from home and am able to give your pet 24/7 attention. Walks can be given every hour and the dog park at least once a day, if your dog likes dog parks. I am available every day and very flexible with scheduling. I live alone in a quiet house with a fenced backyard so there’s plenty of space for your furry friend to get comfortable. I also have a very friendly chihuahua that will be with me for any dog boarding. Your dog may sleep on the furniture or in a crate, whatever you prefer. I can administer medicine (no shots) and live within walking distance of a vet that I know personally, so this is the perfect place in case of any emergencies.

She is the best!”

“This was my first experience with Rover and Pepper's first experience at a Doggy Day Care. I was a bit concerned about how Pepper would act as it was her first time away from me. However, Christopher's confidence and plan for Pepper quickly put me at ease. Pepper adapted to the environment fairly quick and loved playing with the other dogs. Christopher's professionalism and care were greatly appreciated. I highly recommend using Christopher.”

About: Hi, I'm austin-native Amanda! I've had dogs my entire life and have been the primary caregiver for my own dog, Bug, since he was a puppy. He's now 8 years old, so I've experienced every stage of a dog's life from energetic puppy days to establishing routines and adapting to changing needs as they get older. I currently have a flexible schedule and spend most of my day at home, which allows me to provide plenty of attention, walks, playtime, and companionship. Whether your dog enjoys playing, exploring on walks, or simply relaxing, I'm happy to tailor their care to what makes them happiest. Your pet's safety and comfort are my top priorities. I have a secure, shaded fenced dog park at my apartment for safe outdoor time, and during the Texas summer I plan activities around the heat with shorter walks, shade, water breaks, and indoor play when needed. I know how much our pets mean to us because I feel the same way about Bug. My goal is to make sure your dog feels safe, comfortable, and loved while you're away, and to give you peace of mind knowing they're in caring, dependable hands. I currently have a very flexible schedule and spend most of my day at home, so I have plenty of time to provide attentive care, walks, playtime, and potty breaks. My own dog, Bug, keeps me on a consistent routine, and I enjoy getting outside for walks and making sure dogs get the attention and exercise they need. I'm available for daytime care, walks, drop-in visits, and can often accommodate evenings and weekends with advance notice. I have a secure, fenced dog park at my apartment with plenty of shade, so dogs have a safe place to go outside without spending too much time on hot pavement during the Texas summer. There's also plenty of space and toys to play with in my nice airconditioned apartment. :) I know every dog has different routines and needs, so I'm happy to follow your instructions for feeding, walks, medications, crating, or any other care preferences. Whether I'm caring for your pet in my home or yours, I'll treat them with the same attention and care I give my own dog, Bug.

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - San Leanna
I needed someone to watch Jude for the day while the movers came and I navigated moving logistics so they helped with Jude for a daycare visit. Katelyn and Joe were really easy to book with and tag teamed communication. They offered both a virtual meet and greet or an in person one, they were very accommodating. Jude felt very calm and peaceful in their home. They sent great pictures let me know how he was doing. It made me feel less stressed during the move. I would let them watch Jude again!

I can tell Willow had a very positive experience with Josh, because we live close enough to walk in his neighborhood, and the couple of times we have walked there since Josh kept her, Willow makes a beeline toward his house as if she wants to go back there! I would use him again.

Heather was an absolute gem with our high-energy golden retriever, Luca! She handled his energy perfectly and kept us in the loop with frequent video updates that showed just how happy and settled he was. We especially appreciated how she accommodated our request to keep him off the furniture. We'd book Heather again in a heartbeat and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, caring sitter!

Thorough, accommodating and a good instinct for animals, Nanda was great for keeping our two heeler mixes company with her while we worked over three long days. Great with both our puppy and seven-year-old, she's a relief to have as an option to watch the dogs.

If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in TX ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
