“Highly recommend! My dog has dementia which means he's constantly having his brains turn more and more into mash potatoes. Patches was able to provide exceptional care with all his special needs and I never worried about him bc he was in such good hands! 😻 Meow!”

“I can't say enough nice things about Amanda and Jared. We needed a dog sitter last minute while in town and they were quick to respond! They sent pics as the day went on and took great care of our puppy. If we're ever in town again we will be sure to ask them again before anyone else to watch our pup again.”

“My dog Tuxx had a wonderful stay for daycare. Rachel and Justine were super kind, welcoming and even took adorable photos of Tuxx. Thank you for taking care of him - would recommend to anyone looking for a dog sitter!”

About: Looking for a calm, loving home instead of a crowded kennel? That's exactly what we provide. We're Rachel and Max, a French American couple who genuinely love dogs. We intentionally welcome only 1 or 2 dogs at a time so every pup receives individual attention, affection, and plenty of supervised play. As Rover sitters, we provide a safe, calm, and personalized home for every guest. Our home has a fully fenced backyard, daily walks, lots of cuddle time, and frequent photo updates so you'll always know how your dog is doing. Your dog will be treated like part of our family, never like just another booking We both work from home, with one of us home full time and the other part time, so your pet is rarely alone and always has company. Walks, meals, playtime, and breaks fit easily into our daily routine, and we’re used to giving dogs plenty of attention and care throughout the day. We provide a calm, stress-free, and relaxed environment where pets feel safe and at home. We follow their usual routines for meals, walks, playtime, and rest, and adapt as much as possible to each dog’s energy level and personality. Whether a pet needs active time outside or just quiet companionship, we keep things easy, consistent, and comfortable, with lots of attention and care throughout the day.
“Sydney took great care of Bumble. She keeps a clean and secured yard for the dogs to play. I received photo updates throughout the day. Bumble came home tired but very happy. Will be back for sure!”

About: Hi, I’m Wadner. I’ve always enjoyed being around dogs and understand how important it is to leave your pet with someone you can trust. I provide a clean, safe home with a spacious fenced yard and live right next to a dog park, giving dogs plenty of opportunities for exercise and enrichment. I believe every dog deserves individual attention, regular potty breaks, playtime, and a calm environment where they can feel comfortable while you’re away. I’ll also keep you updated with photos and messages throughout your dog’s stay so you always know they’re happy and well cared for. I look forward to meeting you and your pup! I have a flexible schedule that allows me to provide frequent potty breaks, exercise, playtime, and companionship throughout the day. Dogs are rarely left alone for extended periods, and I build my routine around making sure they receive plenty of attention. Morning walks, evening walks, backyard playtime, and lots of affection are all part of their stay. Safety always comes first. My home has a secure, fully fenced backyard where dogs can safely run and play. Before every stay, I’d like to schedule a meet-and-greet so we can make sure we’re a good fit and I can learn about your dog’s personality, routines, and any special needs. I only accept a limited number of dogs at one time so every guest receives individual attention. Fresh water is always available, feeding schedules are followed exactly, and I clean and inspect the yard regularly. If your dog enjoys socializing, I’m happy to visit the nearby dog park with your approval. If they prefer a quieter environment, we’ll stick to private walks and backyard play. My goal is simple: I want your dog to be excited to come back.
“Yesenia is always the best sitter for our pup. She has wonderful communication and makes me feel so comfortable leaving my dog with her. She sends lots of photos and makes you feel reassured that your pup is in the best hands!”

About: I’ve had pets my whole life as well as have had many 4-legged roomies. We recently lost our furry friend and I’m hoping to have more pets in my life through Rover I currently have a flexible remote job that easily allows me to work in pet care and frequent walks. I’m new-ish to Austin and love getting out to explore. My fiancé and I currently have no other pets in our home, and out of extra precaution, I only sit for one family at a time. We have a nice, big fenced in backyard for playing ball as well as multiple walking and park areas close by
“Thorough, accommodating and a good instinct for animals, Nanda was great for keeping our two heeler mixes company with her while we worked over three long days. Great with both our puppy and seven-year-old, she's a relief to have as an option to watch the dogs.”

About: I've been around dogs my entire life and have always loved them. We always had dogs growing up, but I never had my very own until I adopted Frankie just over three years ago and he has completely magnified my love for dogs! We moved to Austin in October of 2017, and I am just now reactivating my account here. We had over 40 different guests while we lived in Seattle, most of which became repeat visitors. We've had dogs of all ages, sizes, breeds and energy levels stay with us. We have yet to meet a dog that Frankie does not get along with. We have loved every one of our Rover guests, and we can't wait to meet more here in Austin! My schedule is very flexible, as I only work away from home in the afternoons, so your dog will have a lot of human (and dog) interaction. This also makes drop off and pick up times pretty flexible.
“Savannah and Gabriel are great with my puppy Peaches!! They are attentive to her needs and provide me with photos/updates during the day. She also comes home tired after playing with their doggie!! They’re the best!!”

About: Hi! I’m a lifelong animal lover (yes, my first email was animalluver4life@hotmail). I grew up with nine dogs — each with their own Christmas stocking — and now have two pups and one very loved cat at home. I’ve cared for senior dogs, special needs pets, and cats of all kinds. Whether your pet wants cuddles or space, I’ll make sure they feel safe and loved. I do Rover full time, so your pet gets my undivided attention and lots of love while you’re away. They’re always treated like part of the family! I have been told I’m kind of a “helicopter parent” when it comes to my dogs but that comes in handy when dog sitting! I have a fenced yard, two little dogs, and animals are allowed on furniture! I am fine with separating my dogs, if that’s preferred - I have the space! Guests will have first priority, of course. I have experience with crated dogs and do have my own large crate here.
“Pochi was in a great hands with Madeline! She kept me posted throughout the day, along with sending pictures. I loved seeing him have a great time with both Madeline and his new friend, Snax! We will definitely be booking again when we’re needing a sitter.”

About: Growing up with three dogs taught me not only how to love and care for them, but also how to confidently handle all kinds of situations. From puppy accidents to energetic zoomies, I've learned what our furry friends need to feel safe, happy, and loved. I have experience caring for dogs with different personalities and understand the importance of patience, consistency, and attention to detail. Above all, I truly have a big heart for every pet I meet and will care for yours as if they were my own. I recently moved to the amazing city of Austin and am excited to meet new people—and their furry friends! While I'm still searching for the right full-time opportunity, I figured this was the perfect way to stay active doing something I genuinely enjoy. Whether it's walks, playtime, or plenty of cuddles, I'm here to give your pets the love and attention they deserve. My schedule is very flexible, and I'd love to help care for your best friend! I currently live in a clean, pet-friendly apartment where your furry friend will receive plenty of love, attention, and supervision. My goal is to create a safe, comfortable, and stress-free environment where your pet feels right at home. With several parks and walking trails nearby, they'll enjoy plenty of exercise, playtime, and outdoor adventures. I treat every pet like they're my own.

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Bluff Springs
I needed someone to watch Jude for the day while the movers came and I navigated moving logistics so they helped with Jude for a daycare visit. Katelyn and Joe were really easy to book with and tag teamed communication. They offered both a virtual meet and greet or an in person one, they were very accommodating. Jude felt very calm and peaceful in their home. They sent great pictures let me know how he was doing. It made me feel less stressed during the move. I would let them watch Jude again!

We found Lynn last minute on Rover, and she was an absolute lifesaver! She responded so quickly and truly came through for us when we needed someone to care for Mikey on short notice. Mikey doesn’t do well in kennels, and since we both work full-time, we needed someone reliable and understanding and Lynn was amazing! She was incredibly flexible, communicative, and caring. We loved getting regular photo and video updates of Mikey throughout the day — it gave us so much peace of mind knowing he was happy and well cared for. The meet-and-greet at Lynn’s place beforehand was such a great touch and really helped make sure Mikey felt comfortable in her home. We could tell Mikey had a wonderful time, and we’ll definitely be booking with Lynn again. We 100% recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy and loving sitter for their fur baby! 🐾

Yesenia is such an incredible sitter! We have been sending our pup to her for a little over a year and each time my pup is even more excited to go. She is such a great care taker and was super flexible with us for day care scheduling when our work schedules shifted. Highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and caring person for their furry friend!

If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in TX ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
