“Alison was super communicative and sweet in taking care of my dog! She sent great photos and Leo seemed to have a great time with her. Will definitely book again!”

About: I’ve had pets for most of my life, so taking care of animals is something I’m very comfortable with. I’ve been around all kinds of pets, from energetic and playful to shy or needing a little extra patience. I truly enjoy spending time with animals and making sure they feel safe, happy, and cared for while their owners are away. Pet care fits really easily into my routine because I work fully remote and am home throughout the day. That gives me plenty of flexibility for walks, potty breaks, feeding, playtime, and just keeping pets company. Since I’m home often, I’m able to give pets attention and keep an eye on how they’re doing. I do my best to make pets feel comfortable and at home. I follow each owner’s instructions closely, including feeding schedules, walks, potty breaks, medication if needed, and any routines their pet is used to. I also like to learn about each pet’s personality, habits, and comfort level so I can care for them in a way that feels familiar and stress-free. My goal is to keep their routine as normal as possible while giving them a safe, calm, and welcoming place to stay.
“Denise was so amazing with Finley. Sometimes he takes a while to warm up to people, and within an hour he was sleeping on her lap! We will definitely be using Denise again-- she has a way with animals.”

“Madison was wonderful taking care of Gordi! 💕 She was very sweet, and Gordi was so calm and happy when we came back. I felt completely at ease knowing she was in such good hands. I would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for a loving and reliable sitter.”

“Gabriela is an amazing sitter and I highly recommend. She takes such great care of my pup while I’m away at work. She’s extremely accommodating and communicates very well. She’s offered to take my pup to his grooming appointment while I was at work. I can always trust in her to take great care of my pup. She’s even dropped him off to me! She has truly been a life saver!”

“Ian - Deacon told us he very much enjoyed coming by and playing with Misty and the gang. He said they all made him feel right at home. He's bugging us already to get back over. Thank you Ian...he's a special little guy and you and your crew gave him a very special day.”

“We’re so grateful for Rachele, who took a last minute request to watch our mini Aussie for 3 days. Piper always came home happy and tired, from a fun day of walks and play. I got lots of updates and cute photos. We’ll definitely be rebooking. Thank you, Rachele 🥰”

About: Begged for a puppy since I was 12, have been taking care of my own since then. I’ve noticed a Samson- shaped whole in my heart since 2016 (RIP), love when I can help others take care of theirs 🥰. Promise to not get jealous, k? I’ll keep my end of the deal up 🙏🏽 I’m working part-time & remote. I have a pretty flexible schedule, and prefer to go out in the afternoons/ sunset hours to get that vitamin D 😎 I take care as I would want someone to take care of my Samson. I can also bring along my best friend’s Pomeranian if we’re trying to get social

“Derik was great. We were passing through and needed a sitter for a few hours. He took them for a walk, and let them just acclimate in their own time. Highly recommend!”

“Bassam was absolutely wonderful with Lady Guienvere. It’s so refreshing to find a sitter who is just as enchanted with my fur baby as I am. He was attentive, gentle, and clearly cared deeply for her comfort and happiness. I truly appreciated the care he showed my little one, and I wouldn’t hesitate to book with him again.”

About: Dogs have always been a huge part of my life, and caring for them is something I genuinely love. I have experience with a wide range of breeds, personalities, and energy levels — from playful puppies to senior dogs who need a little extra patience and comfort. I understand that every dog is different, and I always make it a priority to help them feel safe, loved, and comfortable while you’re away. As a dog owner myself, I know how important it is to trust the person caring for your pet. Whether your pup loves long walks, playtime, cuddles, or simply sticking to their routine, I’ll make sure they get the attention and care they deserve. I am currently a college student with a flexible schedule, which gives me plenty of time to focus on walks, drop-ins, play sessions, and quality care for your pets. I’m dependable, attentive, and always happy to provide updates and photos so you can feel at ease while you’re away. I’m especially mindful of dogs who may feel nervous in new environments or around new people. I take the time to learn each dog’s personality, routine, and needs so they can feel as relaxed and happy as possible during our time together. I have a flexible schedule and can dedicate plenty of time and attention to your pets. I’m available for dog walking, drop-in visits, and pet sitting throughout the week. Strongly recommend. Communication with Alex was great before and after the booking. Alex was responsive, helpful and put me at ease about bringing my dog for day care. She sent updates throughout a day, and when picked up, the dog was calm, restful and in a good mood.
Jennifer did such a wonderful job watching our puppy! This was our first time leaving him at another Rover sitter’s home, and she made us feel completely at ease. She was incredibly attentive and we got several video and pictures from his stay. It was clear that he was well cared for and happy. We would absolutely book with Jennifer again!

We reached out to Liuba on super short noticed to get our pup watched for the day while we had some family in town. She was quick to respond, incredibly friendly and took great care of our little guy! Our pup is SUPER high energy and needs a lot of attention, and when we picked him up, he was completely tired out and ready to nap. Couldn’t be happier, and we’ll absolutely be back! Thank you! 🙏😊

Freggin' Great!! Olivia was kind, professional, and understanding. We were able to bring Tokyo's travel crate, which helps him nap better, and Olivia was on top of making sure he got those important naps in between play. She was extra awesome managing Tokyo and another rover pup, to make sure they socialized and kept them separate when needed. Super professional and reassured of solid animal management. Send pics during the visit and was a top-notch communicator.

Marissa was great! She took great care of our pup Appa while we were out for the day. He had a lot of fun and was very relaxed when we picked him up. Unfortunately we moved to the other side of town, but if we were still nearby we’d absolutely be returning back! Highly recommend Marissa if you need a pup sitter!

Jarlaith took fantastic care of our pup Appa! Appa is a very high energy mini Aussie doodle and loves CONSTANT stimulation. We left him with Jarlaith all day, and when we picked him up he was as tired as could be, which is all we could hope for! If you’re looking for a new sitter - we highly recommend Jarlaith and we’ll most certainly be back. Major thanks for taking care of our little guy!

Olof comes back nice and tired after a day with Priscilla. He can be a pretty lazy dog sometimes, but when he’s outside he’s super active-with my busy schedule I know he appreciates the extra stimulation to help with his anxiety. Hes happy to see her and drop off/pick up is always easy.

Navya is amazing!!! My Cavapoo Lola fell in love with her and enjoyed every second with her. I had just moved to the area, Navya responded super quickly and was very flexible. I’m so lucky to have her living close by. Lola and I are definitely going to keep using her on a regular bases. I highly recommend her - if your pet needs lots of love and walks Navya is your gal. ❤️

We’re so grateful for Rachele, who took a last minute request to watch our mini Aussie for 3 days. Piper always came home happy and tired, from a fun day of walks and play. I got lots of updates and cute photos. We’ll definitely be rebooking. Thank you, Rachele 🥰

Emily and her home were FANTASTIC!! beautiful house and perfect sized yard for Tokyo. Great neighborhood. She was understanding and accommodating of puppy energy and worked with Tokyo's needs so he'd be settled. Tokyo is still in training and having understanding sitters like Emily make us feel comfortable leaving our fuzzball with sitters! She had a crate for him to use too, as ours was out of commission. We'd love for

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in TX ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
