About: My family always had labradors growing up, I learned how to take care of animals the right way. Every dog deserves to go to bed the right kind of tired every night, having been loved and given exercise for the mind and body. A restless pup is truly heartbreaking to me, so if all your dog needs is some attention or if they need a long walk with lots of time to smell, I can help out. I’m only working part time right now, and I need something to fill the gaps. I’m a morning person mostly just because I hate afternoon traffic. I have a big backyard and comfy apartment, I can accommodate anything your pet needs. Also if you have specific instructions for your pup I can follow them to the T.
“Katie was amazing with my dog and gave me total peace of mind while I was away. She was communicative, reliable, and clearly treated him like one of her own — I couldn’t recommend her more!”

About: Since I was a child I have taken care of 2-3 dogs in one home and multiple cats with my family. All different types of dogs, fostering and rescuing animals when we could. Love to maintain healthy and clean animals so that they can live their best lives and feel loved! I am currently a fire fighter and looking for a side job. I am off for few days out of the week and want to be active and be around animals. I am currently taking care of my cats indoor to protect them from this heat. Often getting fresh water and have family dogs that like to go outside but stay cool so I often have little dog pools set up! I am okay with taking them outside or keeping them inside for some safe fun!
“Isabella was very kind and dependable. She took the time to get to know our pup and her routines. She sent us lots of happy pictures and really made us feel like our house and doggo was in good hands. I’ll definitely be booking her again the next time we have a need.”

About: I’ve had dogs for 20+ years and have had multiple years of experience caring for dogs of all shapes and sizes. I promise your pup will be in good hands! I work full time, but can let dogs out during my lunch hour and can take care of dogs after 5 pm during the work week. On the weekends, i’m fully able to take care of dogs throughout the day. I live in an apartment complex but have close access to the trail and an open dog park. I have a corgi; but can crate if needed. Your dogs safety is my first concern. Whatever you need, we can adapt!
“Anna is the best! She’s watched cinnamon multiple times for me now. Cinny is not easy and she goes above and beyond giving her the best care while I’m away. She is always responsive, and I can tell cinnamon is having a great time in all the photos. Could not recommend Anna more!”

“Lindsay was SO good to my sweetheart while I was away. He was clearly loved and well cared for, and that meant the world to me. She was very thorough and consistent with check-ins and pictures. I felt very confident having her as my catsitter. ❤️”
“Haley did an amazing job with my very large dog and needy cat! She was responsive, thoughtful, and reliable - I will definitely be asking for her help again in the future and would recommend others do as well!”

“Regan was quick to respond and provide updates. She took amazing care of Binky and provided photos and videos of him while I was away. She went the extra mile to ensure that my auto-feeder was working, the litter was cleaned, and even brought extra treats for Binky. I will be utilizing Regan again in the future!”

About: I’m Jacob, a full time nurse, looking for a side hustle to help pay off my student loans :) If you trust me with your pet(s) I will make them my top priority. I will shower them with attention, and take lots of pictures to update you with about our day. I work 3 days a week. I have plenty of free time during the week for your pet’s needs. It would be such a fulfilling past time for me to care for your animals. I live alone in a quiet apartment with no other animals. There’s a good amount of space. Quick and easy walk to the trail around lady bird lake.
About: I’ve taken care of many different dogs throughout my family and neighborhood growing up. I have taken care of puppies all the way up to senior dogs. I’m currently between jobs, so I am available most days unless I am traveling. When I am working, I work remote so I am pretty flexible. I care for pets however the owner prefers. For example I can crate them and leave them off the furniture if that is preferred or they can be allowed on the couch/bed in my home/owners home for some cuddles!
“Samantha was great and professional. She found my cat which was locked in a closet by accident and gave her love and treats. Will definitely use her again for cat sitting needs!”

Audrey was fantastic!!! Quick to respond and so easy to work with. We are from out of town and had unusual circumstances but she was very accommodating. Our fur baby is high maintenance and has separation anxiety and she handled him with gentleness and care. Highly recommend!!!

Reliable, punctual, and great communication! We had a fantastic experience with this drop-in visit! Lauren arrived exactly on time, which gave us total peace of mind. We loved getting the photo updates while we were away, and she left everything perfectly clean and tidy. Our pup was so well taken care of—we will definitely be booking with Lauren again!

Whether you’re at the office for the day or traveling for a few nights, a pet sitter can offer potty breaks during a Austin stroll, cleaning the litter box, or making sure your pet has on-time food or water refills. Tip: You can discuss your specific arrangements with a pet sitter on Rover to what fits you, your pet, and your sitter’s needs. To find what their special skills are, look at the "Skills" and "Pet care experience" sections on their profile.
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Austin choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.
To find sitters in Austin with recurring or weekly availability, select "Repeat Weekly" and which days you’d like them to care for your pet.
