About: My wife and I moved to Austin for the running scene, so long walks and miles of movement are what I live for. If your dog has energy to burn, I’m more than happy to match their energy on the trails, sidewalks, and (safe) roads. I’m a former service dog trainer, so I’m comfortable with all kinds of personalities, quirks, and needs. At home, we’ve got two bigger, high-energy older dogs, which means I’m used to handling strength, stamina, and the occasional “we’re not done yet” attitude. Whether your pup needs a chill walk, a proper outing, or a legit run, I’ve got you covered. I’m reliable, flexible, and I treat every dog like they’re my own . As a work-from-home running coach, I have availability all day any day and am happy to move my running schedule around to fit running or walking with your pup! I've had and taken care of others' dogs for as long as I can remember! With two high-energy older dogs at home, I know how important it is to make sure a dog's unique, detailed needs are met. As a former dog trainer and pet sitter with over a decade of experience, you can trust your dog will be cared for as if they were my own.
“Thank you! I saw your question on the tricks. I would love to teach her how to shake. I have tried a few times but it hasn’t caught on. Open to other ideas too. I am also open to ordering any toys you think would be good for her. I got one of those dog feeder snuffle mats but not something you can use when you just drop in!”

“Isa is an incredible Rover!!! In addition to making sure our kitty's daily needs were taken care of, she even brought her own personal cat toys and catnip to play with, and wrote up the sweetest detailed summaries each day and sent the most adorable photos and videos. This is our second time booking her, and definitely not our last!”

“Kate took such great care of our cat! She was responsive, flexible and super loving towards our cat. We got lots of great photos and will definitely be using Kate again in the future”

About: I’ve been an animal lover my whole life and have done pet sitting as a side job since I was a teenager. When I moved to Austin 3 years ago I started to pet sit more consistently for neighbors, friends, family and friends of friends. I grew up with cats and dogs of all ages, breeds, sizes and demeanors and now have two cats of my own. Because of this I understand the importance of feeling like your fur babies are safe and cared for while you’re away. I recognize every pet has its own personality, routine and needs and I always do my best to give your animals the same love, attention and care that you do. My weekends are typically free and I work from home which helps me accommodate a more flexible schedule including early mornings, later nights and drop in visits of any length. I’m also very active and love to exercise so walking, running and playing with dogs is a perfect fit for me My goal is to care for your pet the same way you would—with patience, love, and plenty of attention. Every pet is different and it’s important to me to take the time to understand your pets personality and comfort level, whether that means extra playtime or giving them the space they need to feel safe. I’m always happy to schedule a meet and greet before our first visit so both you and your pet can get to know me and feel comfortable. I also know that inviting someone into your home requires trust and I will always be respectful of your space and leave it just as I found it—if not even cleaner.

About: As a lifelong dog lover and proud Frenchie mom, I know every dog has their own personality and routine. Friends, family, and neighbors have trusted me to care for their pets for years, whether that’s walks, playtime, feeding, or simply giving them extra love while they’re away. I understand the importance of patience, consistency, and keeping pet parents updated with photos and messages. I’ll treat your dog like one of my own, making sure they’re safe, happy, and well cared for every step of the way. I currently have a flexible schedule, which allows me to provide reliable walks, drop-in visits, and personalized care throughout the day. Whether your pup needs a midday potty break, an energetic walk, or some extra attention while you’re away, I’m happy to work around your routine. I pride myself on being dependable, communicative, and treating every dog like they’re my own. Your dog’s safety and comfort are always my top priorities. I’ll follow your pet’s routine closely, including feeding schedules, medications (if needed), and any special instructions. I’ll always keep dogs securely leashed on walks, avoid unsafe situations, and provide plenty of love, exercise, and attention. You’ll receive updates and photos after every visit so you can have peace of mind knowing your pup is in caring, reliable hands.

“I found Christopher on Rover at the last minute to help with 3 visits. One of our dogs is a rescue that we’ve had less than a week; he’s being crated and I was unable to get away from work. Christopher came to my house after I messaged him and met everyone. He was kind and competent and I knew the dogs would be in good hands. He did a great job—he was on time for his visits, and sent me pictures and messages. It was such a relief to me to know that my dogs were well-cared for. I will use him again for sure!!!”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Austin
Abby was incredible. My apartment is not very easy to get in and out of and she worked with me through all difficulties. She was on time, communicative & responsive. I would recommend her to anyone and everyone. She cleared so much of my anxiety. Using rover for the first time can be scary, but Abby was the perfect fit and I’m so thankful for her! I would have her watch Chief anytime ❤️❤️❤️

We went out of town for several days and the family member that was staying with the dogs worked some unusual hours so we booked Cicely for some drop ins to help us out. She handled our rambunctious dogs well and was very communicative, thorough, and sent lots of pictures. I would absolutely book Cicely again!

Michelle was an amazing pet sitter! She did drop-in visits for my pets and was incredibly attentive, caring, and reliable. It was obvious that she genuinely cared about their well-being, and she kept me updated with excellent communication throughout each visit, which gave me so much peace of mind. My pets absolutely loved her, and I could tell they were well cared for while I was away. I highly recommend Michelle to anyone looking for a trustworthy and compassionate pet sitter, and I will definitely be booking her again!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking.
