“Mycah has had such a positive impact on my Bluenose Bully “Biscuit. She didn’t just teach Biscuit basic tricks and commands. She worked with me as well. Teaching us both step by step how to redirect Biscuits energy, through proper diet, play, and care. I now have a far greater relationship with Biscuit than ever before and cannot say enough great things about Mycah and the quiet wisdom she brings along when she’s training. Seriously, Thank you sooo much, i cant wait for the tier 2 coarse I’ve booked for mid February! Biscuits gonna love it!”

About: What sets me apart is my ability to intuitively understand both dogs and their humans on an emotional level. I don't just train behavior- I help strengthen the relationship beneath it. My work blends skill, empathy, and awareness, allowing me to read subtle cues, create calm environments, and guide each dog at their own pace. I focus on healing, clarity, and communication. giving families the tools to grow together long after training ends. About: During our consultation, we will figure out which positive reinforcement training method will work best for your pup. As we are doing this, I will be outlining a training plan for you & your pup (which you will get a copy of!) After each lesson with your pup, (if available) I ask all pet parents to join me for a quick briefing to see what their pup has learned. As well as showing them what has been working for them & how to continue after our lesson.
“James, Aka Bradley, has been very attentive and caring about training my three dogs. He has been educating me on how to properly use commands and techniques while we are at off-leash areas. There were a lot of trial and errors but my dogs are able to get it and they catch on quickly! He has been communicating and checking in on how things are coming along. I appreciate that a lot. He does deeply care about dogs and giving them the proper confidence boost while being put to work. I would definitely recommend his expertise for dog training sessions.”

About: Communicating on the same page as your dog is only the beginning. I've spent years studying canine neurobiology, behavior, nutrition and welfare to learn best how to communicate, train and develop a relationship with our canine companions...But I didn't stop there. It makes no difference if I can speak the language of your dog if can't teach you, so I spent 3yrs at Petsmart training people to train their dogs. I've decoded the Labyrinth. I can teach you. And you can have the relationship with your dog you dreamed about before you rescued that pup. Give me a call.

Dog Training FAQs
Frequently asked questions about Rover
Trainers listing on Rover must be credentialed dog trainers, commit to reward-based training methods, and pass a background check to offer dog training in Austin.
Reward-based training encourages dogs to offer desired behaviors by reinforcing the behavior with something the dog likes; treats, play, or toys. Reward-based training prioritizes using the least intrusive intervention; it promotes thinking rather than punishing mistakes.
When rewards are used, the likelihood the behavior is repeated increases. The positive connection to the reward results in making learning enjoyable, strengthens the human animal bond and over time leads to consistent desired behaviors.
Training can happen many places — your home, a park, a store, or anywhere else that you and your trainer decide is best for the training you are doing! Many trainers will recommend training in your home. This allows them to observe your dog in their natural environment so they can effectively assess and best help reach your training goals.
Trainers will often mention on their profile where they typically hold training sessions, but you can always contact a trainer to learn more!
Rover makes it easy to find Austin dog trainers to provide loving care from their own home. The background-checked, 5-star trainers you can find on Rover will work with you and your dog to build new skills and address behaviors. Dog trainers can work on:
- Puppy training, adult dog training, agility training, clicker training and advanced training.
- Behaviors such as barking, leash manners, leash reactivity, house manners, jumping, fearful behavior, anxious behavior, separation distress, recall, biting, chewing, mouthiness, potty training and resource guarding.
Of course! Having a trainer that is the right fit for both you and your pup is an important step to reaching your training goals. We recommend reaching out to any trainer that interests you. Your initial request is not final until both you and the trainer decide you want to move forward with booking.
Also, trainers may offer or require consultations. Make sure to ask trainers so you can make the best decision for you and your pet.
Many trainers on Rover indicate experience in a wide range of behaviors, from puppy training to more advanced behaviors and training types.
Review a trainer’s profile to see if their experience aligns with your needs, and if you have questions, don’t hesitate to contact them to ensure they’re the right trainer for you and your pet.
We get it—sometimes plans change and you may need to cancel your dog training service. You can cancel an upcoming booking directly from the Rover app or your computer, in accordance with your trainer’s cancellation policy.
