About: I've never met a dog or cat I can't win over. I meet them at their pace, never pushing unwanted interaction onto them. I have volunteered and fostered for multiple shelters. I have experience administering medicine, grooming, and bathing. Currently working part-time, so I'm relatively free to look after pets. I am also a morning person, and I don't mind getting up early to check in on and walk someone's baby, especially with how hot it is right now. I will follow your guidance on your dog or cat's care in your household to a T. I want to alleviate the stress an animal may feel meeting a new person by sticking to their usual routine.
“Brandy is seriously the best sitter we’ve ever had. Super reliable and communicative; excellent with administration of medication and senior pets. Our highest recommendation goes to Brandy!”

“Kate was incredible!! She sent extremely detailed summaries of her visits with my cat and took tons of pictures. I will definitely be using Kate’s services again! Highly recommend”

“Julia took care of Gryffin for 10 days. She maintained constant communication, and worked with me while out of state. I had no worries about Gryffin for the entire trip. Thank you!!”

“Simply the best! I received many updates along the way and my dog was extremely well taken care of while I was traveling. I will definitely use Lauren again!”
“Amelia has been so great with my 10 week old puppy! She communicates any potty mishaps or new behavior. Gets him to potty even though he doesn't like being outside in the hottest part of the day, when I have her come. Thank you!”

“Claire did an excellent job taking care of my cat! She was extremely communicative, friendly, and showed so much love to my pet! When I came home, the litter box was perfectly cleaned and my cat was calm and happy! Highly recommend her for cat care :)”
“Morgan was wonderful with our three babies ! She was so available, accommodating, and they all loved her . She even extended one visit and happily helped us out by adding on an additional early morning visit we hadn’t originally booked . I was super uneasy about leaving my 9 y/o pup overnight alone as he’s always had someone , but with Morgan’s care, I feel very comfortable doing it again :)”
“Sarah is the best! She took such great care of my babies. One of my cats is very shy and skittish and she made sure he was fine while I was away. My other cat absolutely loved her ❤️ she took time to set up a video call with me before she started to make sure she knew everything about my cats and that gave me so much confidence to be away from my babies (which is always nerve wracking for me). I couldn’t recommend her enough 🙌🏼”

About: Dogs have always been a huge part of my life, and caring for them is something I genuinely love. I have experience with a wide range of breeds, personalities, and energy levels — from playful puppies to senior dogs who need a little extra patience and comfort. I understand that every dog is different, and I always make it a priority to help them feel safe, loved, and comfortable while you’re away. As a dog owner myself, I know how important it is to trust the person caring for your pet. Whether your pup loves long walks, playtime, cuddles, or simply sticking to their routine, I’ll make sure they get the attention and care they deserve. I am currently a college student with a flexible schedule, which gives me plenty of time to focus on walks, drop-ins, play sessions, and quality care for your pets. I’m dependable, attentive, and always happy to provide updates and photos so you can feel at ease while you’re away. I’m especially mindful of dogs who may feel nervous in new environments or around new people. I take the time to learn each dog’s personality, routine, and needs so they can feel as relaxed and happy as possible during our time together. I have a flexible schedule and can dedicate plenty of time and attention to your pets. I’m available for dog walking, drop-in visits, and pet sitting throughout the week. I can accommodate morning, afternoon, and evening visits, and I’m happy to work with your pet’s routine to make sure they feel comfortable and cared for. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I always follow the owner’s instructions carefully, including feeding schedules, walks, and any special needs. I provide a calm, clean, and pet-friendly environment, and I make sure pets are always supervised. I’m attentive to behavior and will keep you updated with messages and photos so you feel confident your pet is in good hands.
“Meg did a great job with my kitty cats! I’ve had her as a sitter two times so far, and I’ve always come home to happy healthy kitties and a clean home. She’s good about replying quickly, and about sending pictures of them at each visit (even got some action shots of play time!). She did everything that I asked (fed them, gave them clean water, cleaned the litter box, and played with them), plus she even took out the trash when it got full! Overall I would recommend Meg as a sitter :)”

“Kim is always there for our kitty when we are away, and she also looks after our home - incoming packages, watering plants, etc - which is so thoughtful! Thank you so so much Kim!”

“Brittany was great with my cat Smokey! She sent pictures daily, and it seems like he got all the cuddles and attention he needed while I was away. Brittany provided very long and helpful updates so I could stay assured that he was in good hands while I wasn't there.”

“Aryanna took such great care of our kitties! She leaves very detailed information about her visits, takes pictures and videos, and is punctual. 100% recommend!”

“Arantxa did awesome with shadow. Was nervous as it was my first time using rover and have a dog with anxiety but had zero issues! She was very communicative and sent lots of pictures. Would definitely recommend”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Austin
Joan was the absolute sweetest when caring my girl Toothless. She was so communicative, thorough, and paid so much attention to detail when I wasn’t able to on this busy trip away. I love how she would include some many pictures from the check in and was very descriptive about each visit. I could not recommend her more to care for your pets!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
