Sit a Dog, Save a Life
Sit a Dog, Save a Life lets you raise money for local dogs-in-need by doing something you do already: asking your neighbors to watch your dog instead of leaving them in a kennel. Austin Humane SocietyThe Austin Humane Society is a community resource that promotes compassion toward animals. Formed in 1952, the Austin Humane Society is Austin's largest, longest standing no-kill, non-profit animal shelter.
As the largest no-kill, non-profit pet adoption center in Austin, the Austin Humane Society is dedicated to saving Austin's homeless cats and dogs, educating our community about responsible pet ownership, and reducing pet over-population.
Austin Pets Alive
Austin Pets Alive is currently focused on helping the healthy and treatable pets who are at risk of being killed in a shelter, by rescuing the pets who are at the greatest risk and helping owners who are having problems so great that they need to surrender their pet(s) to a shelter.
In their rescue program, to not duplicate work of other agencies, we focus solely on the pets who have already been passed over by other groups and the shelters? adoption programs and only take the healthy and treatable pets who are about to be killed and have no other options.
Dogs Out Loud
Dogs Out Loud provides training, behavior rehabilitation, and high quality care to medium to large breed dogs dying at shelters due to resource intensive behavior problems. We provide additional behavior support services that address specifically identified gaps currently costing the lives of this subset of shelter dogs.

Their mission is to provide a safe, caring, and humane refuge for abandoned dogs in our community and to ensure quality adoptive homes. Pug Rescue of Austin promotes responsible dog ownership through a mandatory sterilization policy and provides public education about the unique needs of pugs.
