About: Hi, I'm austin-native Amanda! I've had dogs my entire life and have been the primary caregiver for my own dog, Bug, since he was a puppy. He's now 8 years old, so I've experienced every stage of a dog's life from energetic puppy days to establishing routines and adapting to changing needs as they get older. I currently have a flexible schedule and spend most of my day at home, which allows me to provide plenty of attention, walks, playtime, and companionship. Whether your dog enjoys playing, exploring on walks, or simply relaxing, I'm happy to tailor their care to what makes them happiest. Your pet's safety and comfort are my top priorities. I have a secure, shaded fenced dog park at my apartment for safe outdoor time, and during the Texas summer I plan activities around the heat with shorter walks, shade, water breaks, and indoor play when needed. I know how much our pets mean to us because I feel the same way about Bug. My goal is to make sure your dog feels safe, comfortable, and loved while you're away, and to give you peace of mind knowing they're in caring, dependable hands. I currently have a very flexible schedule and spend most of my day at home, so I have plenty of time to provide attentive care, walks, playtime, and potty breaks. My own dog, Bug, keeps me on a consistent routine, and I enjoy getting outside for walks and making sure dogs get the attention and exercise they need. I'm available for daytime care, walks, drop-in visits, and can often accommodate evenings and weekends with advance notice. I have a secure, fenced dog park at my apartment with plenty of shade, so dogs have a safe place to go outside without spending too much time on hot pavement during the Texas summer. There's also plenty of space and toys to play with in my nice airconditioned apartment. :) I know every dog has different routines and needs, so I'm happy to follow your instructions for feeding, walks, medications, crating, or any other care preferences. Dutton had a wonderful time spending the weekend with Mary, Heath, Waffles, and Dot (and Dutton’s other dog pal, Oakley)! Dutton gets anxious with storms and heavy rain but Mary and Heath took great care of him. At drop-off and pick-up I could tell they really understand dog social cues and navigate accordingly, which gave me great peace-of-mind. They communicate well and were super responsive during Dutton’s stay, and sent lots of pics and videos ranging from calm moments to play time. Definitely recommend!
Jude loved staying with Brian! He’s a picky eater and Brian was so accommodating and made sure to keep him interested in his food. I loved his communication style and he always kept me updated so I didn’t have to worry while I was traveling. We will definitely book with him again!
Shyla was absolutely wonderful with Wally! She was incredibly responsive and always replied very quickly to our messages. She sent us lots of photos and updates throughout his stay, which gave us great peace of mind while we were away. Wally was a little nervous being in a new environment and wasn’t eating, but Shyla was so patient and caring. She tried several different things to encourage him to eat and clearly went above and beyond to make sure he was comfortable and well cared for. She was also very accommodating with our drop-off and pick-up times, which made everything incredibly easy for us. We could tell that Wally was in great hands, and we would absolutely trust Shyla to watch him again. Highly recommend her!
Brianna was amazing with Miso! She sent us updates every day, which gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. We could tell Miso was really well taken care of and felt completely comfortable with her. He also had the best time playing with her pup, Charlie, and looked so happy in all the updates!
