“Isabel was absolutely fantastic with our six-month-old puppy, Oliver! This was our first time leaving him with someone new, and our original sitter fell through at the last minute. I reached out to Isabel on Rover just two days before we needed someone, and she responded within about 20 minutes and was able to help us out. We FaceTimed beforehand, and she asked incredibly thoughtful questions—especially since Oliver is still a puppy and in the middle of training. She asked what commands we use, exactly how we say them, what his routine looks like around meals, and other questions I honestly wouldn’t have even thought to bring up with a sitter. When she came over, she let us know as soon as she arrived and afterward sent a detailed update with photos. She told us when she fed Oliver, what games they played, how he behaved, and even shared thoughtful observations about his personality. I really appreciated how attentive and engaged she was rather than simply stopping by to let him out and feed him. Most importantly, I came away from the experience feeling incredibly confident trusting Isabel with Oliver. About: I have taken care of many dogs for family and friends in the Austin area for overnight trips, emergency trips, and day to day care. I follow instructions well and love to spend time with all animals, especially dogs. I take care of my two cats at home daily and occasionally take care of other pets for friends and family. I have a part time job so my schedule is flexible. I check their essentials every day (water, food, etc.) and spend time with them to make sure they’re active and happy. Any other needs I happily take care of with instructions given to suit the needs of your pet and home!

Madeline was absolutely amazing!! You can tell she has a heart for dogs and I would definitely recommend to anyone looking for someone to help out with their pups! She came by to feed and let out our 9y dog and 7m puppy and did so great with both of them. Madeline was extremely patient with our older dog who has diabetes and needs insulin injections, giving her time & space to warm up to her which ended in successful administration of her medicine each day she came by. On top of that she gave our puppy the attention he needed so that he stayed happy the rest of the time that we were gone. Thank you so much Madeline!!
Alicia did an amazing job! This was my second time booking with her, and once again she was incredibly reliable and attentive. She stayed on top of all the check-ins and provided great updates throughout my trip. One of my pups got sick while I was away, and Alicia went above and beyond. Andrew was excellent!! He took beautiful pictures of our dogs and even left a couple of professional-quality ones for us to frame. Small details were so helpful like cleaning up poop from the backyard and bringing in our bins on trash day! My husband said “We give him an A+++++!”

You and your sitter can agree on a care schedule that fits your pet’s routine and the sitter’s availability. Pet Sitting can be booked as a one-time or recurring drop-in visit. If you need overnight care or dog walks, you may also be able to book House Sitting or Dog Walking through Rover with the same sitter, provided they offer those services.
Before booking, confirm:
- the timing, length, and frequency of visits;

Not every sitter offers the same services, availability, or booking options. Review their profile and discuss the care you need through Rover before booking each service.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.

Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.
Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first Meet & Greet .
sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy , which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.
Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.
