About: Dogs are truly my best friends. I try to care for them as much as they care for us. I'm used to being around large dogs, so I have no problem with them. I am working part-time right now and I work early in the morning and get off at midday. My partner feeds the dogs before I get home. I have a large yard for your dog to play. I also can take your dog on a hike or a walk, whatever is preferred. My house has an open layout so they can even run around inside. If your dog usually sleeps in a crate, I don't have one, so that would need to be provided.

About: I had my dog when she was a puppy until she was almost 10 years old, when I lost her to bone cancer. I went through everything with her, from training as a puppy, fighting kennel cough, playing fetch, walking and running with her everywhere, traveling with her by car and plane, to her last few months battling cancer, taking medicine, force feeding and walking her in a stroller. She was my life. I am able to care for dogs at all ages and conditions! I currently work full-time from home, and have a flexible schedule. This allows me to walk, feed, and play with your dog at any time of the day, multiple times a day. After work, I take online courses for a graduate program at home, so I will be around evenings and weekends, as well. I live in a dog friendly neighborhood with lots of grass, doggy bag/trash stations, and other dogs walking around. I also have a fenced backyard patio with grass that I sit out at while letting dogs run around. I have dog bowls, an extra leash, and doggy bags. Fenced yard, water bowls always full, lots of indoor lounging space, and they are allowed on the couch! I have a lot of windows for direct sunlight, where dogs love to lay near to sunbathe or look out the windows.

Lindsey was absolutely wonderful! This was our first time using the Rover app, and she made the entire process seamless and stress-free. During our initial meet and greet, she took the time to answer all my questions about how the app works and asked great, thorough questions to learn about our cats, Osiris and Hasina, and their care needs. Over 7 days, Lindsey did 3 drop-in visits each day. After every single visit, she sent detailed updates on what they did along with great photos, which completely eased our minds while we were away. She kept their food and water full, played with them every time, gave them treats, and communicated quickly whenever a question came up. We knew Osiris and Hasina were in great hands, and we will definitely be booking Lindsey again for future trips!
Tasha was extremely knowledgeable and asked great questions during our meet and greet. On time for every drop in. She left thorough report cards + pictures of my pups and I could tell she really enjoyed her time with them and they enjoyed their time with her!
We had Alice drop in for the first time to feed Kashi and take her out for a potty break. Kashi gets anxious when we're away, so coming home to a totally chill and happy dog speaks volumes about Alice’s wonderful way with pets. We’ll definitely be reaching out to Alice again!
Melanie was proactive in her communication and asked questions about my dog’s care and needs that I hadn’t yet considered! She was flexible in scheduling a complimentary meet and greet prior to booking several drop ins for my puppy. Melanie made sure I got photos and detailed notes about each visit. Most importantly, she reinforced training commands, and made sure Dizzy was feeling both loved and tired out after each visit, which is exactly what I asked for! I would definitely book with Melanie again and highly recommend her as a thoughtful and competent pet caretaker.
Yuna is very personable, responsible and totally gets crazy cat stuff. I enjoyed my trip knowing my cat was in very capable and caring hands. Cara even let Yuna pet her which is super rare. Courtney did an amazing job caring for both of our dogs—a 14-year-old senior and a 3-year-old. They were patient and gentle with our older dog while still giving our younger dog the attention, exercise, and energy she needed. If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.

Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.
Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first Meet & Greet .
sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy , which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.
Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.
