“Renada did an excellent job with my kitties. She was meticulous about her care—asking all the right questions and following feeding and care instructions to the letter and striving to make friends with my two finicky felines. Thank you so much!”

“Annabelle went above and beyond for our boy! She came and checked on him when it was outside her window and didn't ask for anything in return, sent pictures and did everything he needed for him including snuggles and pets.”

About: I've had dogs by my side for 20 plus years. I've cared for scared rescues, seniors, puppies, and high energy fosters. I've potty trained dogs and got my 2 doing a series of tricks. I understand the gentle confidence of the alpha helps dogs trust. My two are good with other dogs and have both been boarded with others and had others in our care. I've got a doggie door and fenced yard with squirrels for entertainment. I've got a nice 3 mile nature loop for walks. Dogs...I love them. I'd be glad to put your mind at ease and have yours hang with my pack. I work from home and have ultimate flexibility at the moment so I can walk dogs on your schedule and adapt to your needs. I don't leave the home for more than a couple hours for errands when I'm sitting. If your needs require something different, I am able to be flexible. We have a doggie door here and an ample fenced yard. I also have 2 other small dogs to keep yours company and play along with. I sometime book two families at once. If one of the dog families is a repeat client, and I have confidence the mix will work, your dog may get an extra playmate or two. If you are uncomfortable with that possibility, just let me know so I don't double book. Because I care for many dogs, please be sure your pups are up to date on their flea treatments to ensure we keep the environment comfortable for all who pass through.
“Jessica takes such good care of our baby. She’s usually skiddish around people she doesn’t know very well and Jessica has her playing and giving kisses in no time!”

“Marina took excellent care of my shy dog, Lady. She came to meet us beforehand and reassured us that Lady would be in great hands while I was out of town. She was communicative and gave plenty of updates each time she visited Lady. Will definitely book Marina again!”

“Becky was great! She took good care of Momo, made sure he was fed and litter box was cleaned. She also sent pictures and let me know how Momo was doing when we were gone.”

“Benjamin is absolutely fantastic. He noticed an issue with my pets food and immediately notified me and got the food my dog needed. Would definitely recommend for any pet owner.”

“King did an amazing job watching my dog Stella while I was away. He was able to help on short notice. He went above and beyond with communication when my apartment had a minor leak while I was away. Thank you King!”

“Lizy is great! She is super reliable, really enjoys dogs, and has been able to help us with last-minute scheduling requests for drop-in visits. Highly recommend working with her!”

About: I cry in 97% of movies with animals, therefore I will not watch them. I love dogs and will treat and love on yours like my own. I don't believe in hitting a dog for discipline or any other reason. Just give me the necessary queues/words to use to get them to follow commands. I'm unemployed. If this can become a consistent job, I'll be ecstatic! Dogs love unconditionally and deserve the same from us. They provide supreme comfort. I feel dogs should be inside. Can stay longer times outside depending on weather. If they're outside we can't love on them like we should.
“Mina & Antony were amazing with my dog. They sent updates and pictures, which really gave me peace of mind. Everything went great and I would absolutely book with them again. Highly recommend!”

About: I’ve taken care of dogs since I adopted my Charlie boy! He has been our family dog for 9 years now and is absolutely spoiled. I now also have a miniature dachshund who is 3 years old and he has now become my whole world as well! I am not working at the moment, so I have all the time to play with your fur babies and be there for them whenever you need me! I will be sending lots of photos of your babies during the activities we are doing throughout the day, and even when they are sleeping (which are some of the cutest pics to get while at work!). I will make sure they are feeling loved and safe while they are with me.
About: I used to pet sit when I was a young teen at the apartment complex my mom managed. I’ve grown up with a wide variety of animals and currently have six cats. I love to foster for APA and am experienced in giving medications to cats. I work full time but can wfh and stay overnight at your home if needed. I have reliable transportation and can take your pet to the vet in an emergency as my schedule is flexible. My cats are all indoor only. I believe in regular veterinary care and have two senior cats in my home one of which is on daily medication. I take utmost care to insure my cats do not go outside without me aware . Most of them have no desire to go so it’s fairly easy.
“Kaitlyn was so patient with our sweet, timid dog and communicated very well with me! She sent lots of pictures as well! He warmed up to her by the end of the visit! She also refilled his water bowl for us!”

About: Hiya. My name is Ivan. I have taken care of both cats and dogs, itty bitty ones and massive ones. I have experience with ranch dogs, untrained dogs, somewhat trained dogs, very well trained dogs, grumpy cats, playful cats, affectionate cats, and all inbetween. I have owned a cat, and 2 dogs, for 7 years, and have a personal love for all animals. As for me, I am currently studying as a civil engineer and urban planner at TXST. I enjoy running, biking, and walking. I have worked on farms, trails, and suburbs, and will outwalk your dog. I work as a student at college, so I can be pretty busy during final months, usually May and November. Otherwise, my free time between classes is dedicated to your pets. I do have time during summers and holidays. I would prefer a meet and greet before dog sitting, so that your dogs needs can be adequately met. I am extremely detail oriented, so any needs, specifications, medications, or just quirks, I would be happy accommodate for.

Jessica went above and beyond, especially when my keyless door lock decided to stop working. 🫠 In addition to this, my boys were very well taken care of, and I’ll most definitely be using her again when I’m out of town! A+ communication and photos.😸 It was also super nice to come home to a tidied and swept apartment. ❤️

Stephanie was absolutely awesome to have watch over our kitties while we were away for a week. She wrote detailed notes on how the visit went and how each cat was doing, and she sent plenty of photos which was always fun to look at. I can't recommend her enough - thank you Stephanie!
Weifei took the best care of my Great Dane! It is not easy for me to leave my dog but I was able to go on my trip and be able to relax the entire time knowing he was in great hands. Weifei was available on a super last minute notice and I cannot be more greatful!!!

Kaitlyn was amazing!! She went above and beyond - she even came for a meet and a greet with our kitties before we went out of town. Our extremely shy and skittish cats even warmed up to her, and I think that speaks to what kind of person she is. She also kept us super updated with lots of pictures while we were away!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
