“Virginia is always so awesome with our kitties. We really appreciate her visiting with them and making sure they’re okay while we are traveling. She is super communicative and send us pictures so we know how they’re doing.”

“Brenda was an excellent fur baby sitter !!! We were leaving out of the country and she was available to help us out! She met the girls and then followed all our instructions, as well as communicated with us via text and WhatsApp (internationally) for all things daily which was very comforting. One of our fur kids got sick over the trip and she monitored her as well as helped and took care of clean up. We could not be more grateful! We would recommend her to absolutely anyone, and trust her with our girls. Will be using her for all future babysits!”

“Gabe did an amazing job with our first babies! He was patient, caring, attentive, punctual, and communicative. The confidence they made me feel in my decision to use this service was vital in my trip planning process. I will highly recommend Gabe as a caretaker to my friends and family…… and also hope to get the privilege of using Gabe in the future.”

About: Life-long animal lover with experience across the board- dogs, cats, birds, reptiles, and fish. I’ve raised my own pets for 18+ years and currently have 4 dogs & 4 cats. Multi-pet homes and big personalities, no problem! I use calm, positive reinforcement — no yelling or harsh corrections. 12 years of caring for coworkers’ and store pets. Your babies will be treated like family! I’m currently working part time as a barber and full time as a single mother. I am free in the mornings after school drop off, throughout the afternoon, and in the evening after school pick up. I’d make your pet my priority. I hope for a future in animal rescue, but will settle for helping my neighbors pets in the mean time. I have a fenced yard with a large dog door for free roaming pups. I walk my dogs in the evenings when it’s cool out. The litter boxes must be changed daily with 4 kitties running the house. I will show your home the same respect I require in mine.
About: I’ve always had pets growing up. I’ve had a pet to take care of since I was 8 years old. Named Lola but she unfortunately passed away. Now I have 2 Siberian huskies named Loki and blue and they are my energetic fur babies. In the past I have also volunteered to take care of my neighbors dog which was a Shih Tzu. I have taken care of big and small dogs and I know how much of a big difference of energy some dogs can have. I’m currently working part-time. Therefore my availability is pretty flexible/ adjustable. I can do afternoons on weekdays, but I am always free on the weekends I have a fenced backyard, a little doggy pool whenever the summer heat starts hitting and two wonderful fur babies who are named Loki and blue
About: I have been taking care of my own dogs, friends and family dogs multiple of them at a single point in time back to back, I recently took care for 5 dogs in a single house hold keeping the house clean and tidy before leaving. I am currently in between jobs and seeing what I can do about making this a permanent thing and being able to take care of as many puppies as I can! I've had to follow by request multiple times before, starting at exactly 5:45 needing to take multiple dogs out, while training my own dogs to ring a bell attached to the doorknob to let me know when they need out.
“Alexandria took excellent care of my cats, Magnólia and Tulipa. During the meet and greet, she asked great questions about their personalities, routines, and even the nicknames I use for them. She took careful notes and made sure to understand their needs. While I was away, she spent time playing with them and kept me updated with photos and videos. She’s very professional, responsible, and truly loves animals. I’ll definitely book with her again…she’s wonderful!”

I follow the instructions given with care, and if i have any questions I am a direct communicator. I love animals and will treat yours like my own!
“Lori did great as always and was able to cover holidays for me. I am so lucky to have her and the kitties are always glad to see her. Mittie watches out the window when she leaves.”

About: Hi there! I’m Emma, and I’ve spent the last two decades dedicated to the happiness and well-being of animals. Whether you have a high-energy puppy, a senior cat needing gentle pets, or a quiet rabbit, I have the experience and the heart to make them feel right at home while you’re away. Why Choose Me? With 20 years of hands-on experience, I’ve seen it all. I am deeply familiar with the unique needs of: Dogs of all sizes: From tiny Chihuahuas to gentle giants. Cats of all ages: I’m an expert at reading feline body language and providing specialized care for kittens or seniors. Small Animals: I have a soft spot for rabbits and understand their specific social and dietary needs. A Built-In Social Club One of the best parts of staying at my home is the company! I am proud to have a very welcoming "welcoming committee" consisting of: 2 Friendly Dogs: Who love making new playmates. 3 Social Cats: Who are accustomed to visitors and happy to share their space. Your pet won't just be "boarded"—they’ll be part of the family. They will have plenty of supervision, cuddles on the couch, and friends to keep them entertained. I know how hard it is to leave your pets behind. That’s why I prioritize clear communication. You can expect: Regular photo and video updates. Strict adherence to your feeding and medication schedules. A safe, clean, and loving environment. I can’t wait to meet your furry family members! I'm currently working from home so I'm available at any time during the weekday and weekends to prioritize care and activities. I'm looking forward to providing the level of care your furry friend is used to receiving at home! I have a fully fenced-in backyard and a built-in "social club" to keep your furry friend happy and safe. I can easily crate dogs if needed as well, although most of the time your furry friend will be treated as a member of our family, allowed on the couch and bed with us if they choose.
About: I grew up with pets and they’ve always been part of my life. I’ve had hamsters, mice, chickens, bunnies, ducks, birds, fish, turtles, guinea pigs and of course dogs and cats. I’m definitely a dog lover, and as an adult I have gained plenty of experience pet sitting and caring for dogs, specially small breeds. I cared for my older baby (Shih-Tzu) with medical needs for many years, and in the process learned a lot about dog care and how to tell when they aren’t feeling well or something is going on. I’ve cared for dogs of friends and family who have full confidence and trust that their babies will be loved, taken care of and even spoiled when they’re under my watch. I’m currently in the process of changing career paths, and have flexibility to do boarding, drop-in visits and house sitting on most weekends and potentially some week days. The house will be dog proofed. I’m aware of things dogs can eat that will make them sick or could be damaging for their health, so those foods/items will be unreachable for dogs. They will have a good sized backyard to go out for potty breaks and play. My community has very nice and safe walking trails for dogs that need walks. If/as requested dogs can be crated but they won’t be crated otherwise. I love cuddling with my dogs so I allow them on the bed and occasionally on living room furniture. They sleep on my bed unless requested to sleep in their own bed.

Elgin pet parents share their Rover experiences
We love when Andrew watches our cats and the cats love him! He always keeps us updated with the best stories about the visit and takes lots of cute pictures. The cats are so loved and well cared for when he stops by. We are so grateful any chance he is. available to watch our boys while we are away and it’s helps ease our worry. We can definitely recommend, he feels less like a someone we found on rover and more like a true friend of our cats :) (sorry if that sounds weird, I promise it’s a great thing as a cat owner :))) )

Mia was amazing!! She came right in, helped us out with our girls; as we needed a sitter quickly, she played with them, fed them and even got our girl Cocoa's socks on and off every visit! She followed all things we asked and def went the extra mile to make them comfortable! We're excited to have her as the girls sitter and recommend her for sure!

She was awesome with Eli. Eli loved her visits. He looked forward to seeing her. We enjoyed coming home to a happy dog. Victoria went above and beyond what she needed to do. She was kind enough to bring in our garage and our Amazon packages inside. And on hot days she turned on the living room ceiling fan's on for Eli to make sure he had a cool room to cool off. We highly recommend Victoria. She's great with dogs and kind with their parents.
