Dog Boarding in Elgin

“As usual Carmen is amazing! I wouldn’t trust my Oscar with anyone else. He is elderly but I have full trust and comfort that he’s okay when he is with Carmen. I went out of town a few weeks ago and he stayed with Carmen and then this time I made a mistake and drove past the house when dropping him off and he started whinning! He loves it there which makes me extremely happy. Thank you Carmen!”

About: I grew up with pets and they’ve always been part of my life. I’ve had hamsters, mice, chickens, bunnies, ducks, birds, fish, turtles, guinea pigs and of course dogs and cats. I’m definitely a dog lover, and as an adult I have gained plenty of experience pet sitting and caring for dogs, specially small breeds. I cared for my older baby (Shih-Tzu) with medical needs for many years, and in the process learned a lot about dog care and how to tell when they aren’t feeling well or something is going on. I’ve cared for dogs of friends and family who have full confidence and trust that their babies will be loved, taken care of and even spoiled when they’re under my watch. I’m in the process of changing career paths and will have a very flexible schedule starting April 5, 2024, so I will be available to do boarding for days and/or weeks. The house will be dog proofed. I’m aware of things dogs can eat that will make them sick or could be damaging for their health, so those foods/items will be unreachable for dogs. They will have a good sized backyard to go out for potty breaks and play. My community has very nice and safe walking trails for dogs that need walks. If/as requested dogs can be crated but they won’t be crated otherwise. I love cuddling with my dogs so I allow them on the bed and occasionally on living room furniture. They sleep on my bed unless requested to sleep in their own bed.

“My dog has a total hip replacement and cannon is the only pet sitter who was able to maintain her weight without being tempted to Mila persuasive begging. Cannon was also very accommodating with regards to the dates; my drop in drop off dates changed and cannon was very accommodating. Will use cannon service again next time”

About: I started in the pet industry 10 years ago at a vet. Shortly after I worked at a doggy daycare/boarding facility. I handled all the check ins and check outs,feedings ,playtime and cleaning out kennels on a daily basis. I’m a full time mommy and a part time student. I’m also a home body considering I have my 1year old daughter. I’m also flexible since I’m a 100 percent at home(unless I have to run to the grocery store or bank). All pups will be walked on a leash morning ,lunch and dinner. They will be able to roam free in the home except in the bedrooms. For bed time, they will be sleeping in their kennels (provided by you). They will be fed in the laundry area ,that’s gated. And they will be loved and played with every minute your away.
