I’m a true dog lover! Pups are just wonderful to be around and I love getting to play with them. I’ve really enjoyed being a pet sitter so far because I love every opportunity to spend time with a new furry friend! Although I’ll be the primary caregiver, my husband and I have two children, aged 7 and 8. We tend to work as a team, and I think we make a pretty good one! My children love dogs and always enjoy having a new friend around. My husband can help out here and there with some responsibilities, but I’ll be doing most of the work. I’m home all day, so I’ll be able to provide constant love and affection to your pup. Communication is very important for me, so I’ll always make sure to be in touch as often as necessary. I’m always a phone call or a text away, and I’m proactive with my communication as well. I like to send daily updates by way of picture or text messages to let you know how your fur baby is doing and what we’ve done that day. Who doesn’t love getting a cute pic of their happy pup in action? I live in an apartment complex that is great for dogs. There is plenty of space for any dog to walk around and some good spots in the sun for naps too! They will have plenty of fun and relaxation both in and out of our house!

Where do I start first I booked last minute so I picked the first person that responded and she was one.. I read her bio stating her love for dogs etc.. so I thought I it was going to be fine.. okay this was my first sitter booking I arrived at her house and I didn’t feel good about it she wasn’t bubbly when she opened the door to greet us I was standing at door and there was no invite inside.. she asked me if I had any questions for her I told her what was all in my dogs overnight bag I looked at her and made sure if she was okay keeping my dog she stared it was fine.. fast forward she was sending me lots of pictures like back to back.. which was cool I was thinking it was going well then she sends me a picture of my dog laying next to his bag with his blanket and toys still inside that’s when I knew she wasn’t a dog lover my dog was not getting the loving attention I thought she would give to him.. he is a Yorkie so Yorkies demands attention and he was laying next to his bag where he was familiar I asked her if she was experience with dogs because if you see I have a blanket in his bag you should have took it out and let him lay on it. After that the updates stopped and I was on edge this whole overnight stay had to ask her to show me my dog Will not book her ever again .. I would never book last minute ever again a meet and greet is soooo important.. Thank God I had my dad available to go pick up my dog what was supposed to be a two day stay turned out to be a one night stay..
Raquel helped with a super duper last minute booking. She is very sweet, provided lots of pics, and took great care of Oakley. Would definitely book with her again 🩵

Raquel was absolutely wonderful and we would definitely use her again. We had a last minute need for a sitter arise when we had to go out of town unexpectedly for four days. We had never used a Rover sitter for our bengal cat before, and were very anxious about it to say the least. Raquel was amazing with communication and kept us informed and updated every step of the way. She would send photos first thing in the morning and it was very reassuring. If we ever had questions or needed an update she would respond instantly. She and her kids were great and our cat seemed very happy in their care. Highly recommend!

A typical day
I like to stay active, so exercise will be a big part of any stay. I love going to the park to meet new friends (both human and animal!), so we’ll spend a lot of our time having fun outdoors and stretching our legs. There are some good places nearby, but I’m also open to your recommendations and sticking to the schedule that your pup is used to!
