“KC had a great first overnight stay at Kyle’s house! On our trip, we got pictures of KC playing with Kyle’s dogs and relaxing around the house. It was nice knowing that KC was having a good time while we were out of town. We’ll definitely book with Kyle again!”

“Amber was amazing with my dog! She watched my dog for the 4th of July and took such a caring approach asking if my dog disliked fireworks. She has dogs that my super energetic dog loved to play with! She was easy to communicate with and provided photos/ updates throughout the time my dog was with her. We will definitely use Amber again!”

“Radha and Bart are absolutely the BEST. Rooney was so happy staying there and playing with their super chill big boy Snowy for the entire week. They provided us so many updates with photos and videos. We didn’t have to worry about him at all. Radha and Bart treated him like their own pup. They took him on walks multiple times during the day and gave him the sniffing time which our beagle loves. If you want your fur baby to be loved and get that feeling of home away home, go with Radha and Bart :)”

“It was so reassuring to know that our dog was with patches and her little pack while we were on our trip! We got lots of reassuring updates, and we could tell that she stayed calm and had great access to a lovely grassy yard. We are all very appreciative and look forward to our next visit!”

“Cheyanne took great care of my big boy. Her home is very welcoming with a great backyard for dogs to hang out. She asked thoughtful questions about his care which proved she has great experience with dogs. She kept me updated throughout my dog's stay and sent a picture. I would definitely book with Cheyanne again!”
“Marissa was a wonderful host to my girl. I get frequent updates, pictures, and videos of my pup playing and looking happy as a clam. I felt very fortunate to have had such an awesome sitter for my dog and peace of mind while I was away. Would definitely recommend Marissa for a short or long term stay!”

“Lindsey was terrific! She gave frequent updates with pictures. She also has a corgi named Zoe that is extremely cute! We are glad Biscuit has a corgi friend now. Lindsey is also very thoughtful and fed Biscuit throughout his stay, also letting him use Zoe’s crate. I would definitely book again and recommend Lindsey to anyone else looking for boarding services!”

“Anabel did an incredible job watching our husky and maltipoo while we were out of town for 5 days. She was very accommodating and worked around our schedule. She kept us updated with many pictures and videos of the dogs. Coco and Luna had a blast at her house! We would 100% have her watch our dogs again!”

“Alex was great, communicated with us throughout Chessy’s stay and clarified instructions on how to set our anxious girl up for success. Loved getting photos of her each morning and with other Rover friends!”

“Ashley was a great sitter for Theo! She sent me photo updates and was very easy to reach for any communication. Would definitely use her again and recommend her!”
“Joel took excellent care of our lil guy. He sent frequent updates and made sure Junji was okay around the cats. I was nervous that Junji would be curious about the cats but Joel put me at ease. It was great to see my dog just lounging with his cat on the balcony. Too cute!”

“Alison was awesome! She took him on walks, played with him incessantly and sent lots of pictures. Super easy to communicate with and flexible. Our dog Max came home so happy! Would 100% recommend :)”

“We had a wonderful experience with Jeff and Jirapun taking care of our dog, Miley. They kept us updated throughout her stay with regular messages and plenty of pictures, which gave us great peace of mind. It was clear that Miley was well cared for and very comfortable with them. Thank you both for taking such great care of Miley. We truly appreciate your kindness and attention, and we’ll definitely look forward to leaving Miley with you again in the future. Highly recommended!”

“It's hard leaving your pup with someone for an extended period but not only did Lindsey put us at ease immediately, she continued provide us with peace of mind throughout our trip. At drop off she had a plan for her pups to meet ours in a way that wouldn't be overwhelming and they became fast friends. She also provided us with daily updates throughout our trip of Ruby being active and enjoying activities in and out of her home with pics and videos. She was very communicative from booking to the end of our trip and we would recommend her to anyone looking for a sitter. We'll be booking with her again for sure.”

About: I’ve taken care of animals since the age of sixteen. Family members and friends have trusted me in taking care of their fur babies when needed. I work full-time during the week, but my weekends are flexible for care Friday through Sunday. I’m available if needed for pop in’s or walks during the week in the evenings. I have a fenced in yard and 2 friendly dogs that would love to play. Also, if you prefer to keep your fur baby crated I can do that for you.
“Alice was able to accommodate my urgent request after another sitter canceled on me last minute. She was very flexible and communicative providing regular updates along with pictures. She did an amazing job caring for Macaroni and I will be using her for any future requests. I highly recommend Alice to care for your pet!”

“Rose has such a great home for my little dogs to staycation! The back lawn gives them plenty of room to run and explore! So grateful to Rose for her kindness and care!”

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Camp Swift home-away-from-home, we recommend packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Camp Swift.
Tip: You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Camp Swift sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee, which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in TX ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
