About: I’ve taken care of dogs since I adopted my Charlie boy! He has been our family dog for 9 years now and is absolutely spoiled. I now also have a miniature dachshund who is 3 years old and he has now become my whole world as well! I am not working at the moment, so I have all the time to play with your fur babies and be there for them whenever you need me! I will be sending lots of photos of your babies during the activities we are doing throughout the day, and even when they are sleeping (which are some of the cutest pics to get while at work!). I will make sure they are feeling loved and safe while they are with me.
“Victoria did so well with my two dogs. She walked them both and played with them a bit in the yard so my little one didn’t have any accidents in the house. So grateful for someone to enjoy them both as much as I do!”

About: I’ve always loved animals and started pet sitting when I was 15. I’ve taken care of many sizes and types, from small dachshunds and cats to big golden doodles. I also grew up with two dogs who I frequently babysit when my mama is out of town. I’m experienced in walking, feeding, boarding and consoling animals who miss their owners (: I am home full time all week during the summer. I have my own cat who does get along well with other dogs and cats. I love to play with animals and I’ll make sure to keep your pet entertained while I’m visiting. I have a fenced in yard at my home. If they get along with other dogs, i’ll let them hang out at the nearby dog park as well.
“Nicolle did a wonderful job with my Remi. He loved his daily walks with her. She was super accommodating to our needs and very communicative. Will definitely book her again in the future if the need arises.”
About: I have had animals my entire life. Right now, I have a cat and a dog of my own that I adore. I would love your animals as my own, and take the very best care of them. I currently work part-time from 11AM to 7PM, but I would still have a flexible schedule. I am willing to work with you when it comes to times, and I am able to head to your house before or after work! I would do whatever you would prefer when taking care of your animal at your house. I would love to take your dogs on walks and play with them outside!

About: Hello! My name is Sonia, I am a reliable, loving and experienced sitter for many different breeds of dog. Currently I am available for weekend walks. Your dog(s) will receive plenty of love and attention while going on walks with me. Every walk will be tailored to your pup's personality and pace. Your dog is my priority, and safety, exercise, and plenty of love come first, so you can have peace of mind. I work a M-F job so at weekends I have plenty of time to engage and play with your pup! Walks will be tailored to your dog's needs! I am available for a nice slow paced walk with plenty of sniffing time, or a faster pace, or off leash/playing fetch, and everything in between! The safety and happiness of your dog is my top concern. Walks are tailored to each dog's age, energy level, and health needs. Fresh water is provided after walks when appropriate.

About: I’ve shared a home with dogs and cats since I can remember. I have been there since they were pups/kittens until end of life. I cannot imagine a home without fur babies! I am currently in between jobs as I am completing grad school. I am available often as long as I have enough notice as I am also a momma of teenage boys! I will care for you baby at your home and will follow your guidance and respect your boundaries while accompanying your fur baby! I don’t shy away from cleaning after them while I am with them!
“Jaclyn did a great job watching my furr babies! My dogs absolutely loved her. She did such a great job giving updates and giving me the run down of their day. I would definitely trust her again to watch over them!”

About: Hi, My name is Becky. I am a former teacher and a life long animal lover. I have been pet sitting and house sitting for friends, family and neighbors since I was 10 years old. I have cared for all types of animals including cats, dogs, lizards, fish, and ferrets. I have walked and bathed dogs, administered oral and intravenous medicine to cats, worked with senior pets, and enjoy giving love and attention to all animals. I am currently working from home and have a flexible schedule to accommodate your needs. I have had pets my entire life and am used to making feeding, cleaning, and playing a part of my day. The way to a pet’s heart is through genuine care. If you are like me, you know that our pets are not animals, they are family members. If there are any special instructions or guidelines to follow while caring for your pet, I will follow any directions to the T. I will care for and play with your pets as if they are my own.

About: Hello! My name is Emma P. and I live in Austin, Texas. I am an experienced dog-sitter/dog-walker who is looking for individuals that want a reliable person to play and care for their dogs! I have grown up and lived with dogs all my life (and have my own dog) so I understand that it is a responsibility that requires good energy, consistency and dependability. Dogs are social creatures who need to be able to get their energy out! I am available most mornings and evenings as well as weekends! If you have any questions about me, I usually request a meet and greet before agreeing to dog sit so we can talk through your questions/concerns! I hope to give quality service to you and your dog(s) and give you the reassurance that they are in good hands! I work a traditional 9 - 5 job however I work from home and can take your dog on a walk before work, during my lunch break, and after work if needed. I make sure that all areas I care for your dog in are safe and that they have what they need after I am gone to keep them comfortable. I have my own dog with whom I am strict about safety with so I understand!

About: I am open to sit cats, dogs, fish, etc. Just show me their routine and I'll handle it! I grew up surrounded by animals: dogs, cats, chickens, ducks, fish, rabbits and even a goat. I have been rescuing animals since I was in elementary school. I have fostered and placed many of them in forever homes, whom I still check in with today. My husband and I have 3 fur-babies of our own. I know exactly how I would want my fur-babies to be treated and I would extend the same respect and love to your pets. I am currently available for drop-in visits and dog walking only but I am more than happy do multiple visits per day, if necessary. I am happy to work with your schedule to find something that works for everyone but, at the moment, I have weekend availability and Thursdays. I am not currently dog sitting in my own home since I have three dogs of my own but I am happy to care for them in their own space.

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Pflugerville
Arfa was a lifesaver. She’s a real lover of dogs and cares for them like they are her own. You can trust her inside your home and more importantly with your 4 legged family members. She takes lots of pictures when she’s with your dog and keeps you updated on everything that’s going on. I can’t say enough good things about this young lady. She really gives you that peace of mind that your dog is in good hands and you have nothing to worry about.

Audre is great. I’m so glad to have met her! I was nervous picking a new walker especially since I have a large dog. After meeting Audre, I felt right at ease. My dog looks forward to walks with her. She is very nice and communicates well. She keeps me updated with pics from their walks. Overall great experience and I highly recommend Audre!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
