About: I’ve taken care of dogs and cats ever since I was a kid. My family has 2 busy dogs so I know how to take care of your 4-legged family members. Friends and neighbors often ask me to watch their pets. I know it’s difficult to find a quality sitter and I am confident I can provide the care your animal deserves. I’m a homeschool mom so I have a very flexible schedule. I am able to let your pet out multiple times a day, if needed. I would like to meet with you and your dog/cat prior to taking care of them; that way you and your pet can feel more comfortable while you’re away. I will ensure your four legged friend always has fresh water and I will give them lots of attention. I also understand how tempting it is for your lovely family member to want to run out the front door. I am very careful to make sure this doesn’t happen.

About: I've been surrounded by animals for as long as I can remember. Growing up, my home was always full of pets—from multiple dogs and cats to birds, guinea pigs, chickens, and even a lizard. Caring for such a wide variety of animals over the years, along with being the primary caregiver for my dog for the past six years, has given me hands-on experience with different personalities, routines, and care needs. That experience has not only strengthened my love for animals but has also inspired my goal of pursuing a career in wildlife conservation. I've learned that every pet is unique, not just because of its species, but because of its individual personality. Whether I'm caring for my own pets or helping look after family and friends' animals, I always take the time to understand what makes each one comfortable, happy, and well cared for. I treat every pet with the same patience, attention, and compassion that I would my own. I recently moved to Texas for school, and while my family now cares for my dog and cat back home, I help care for two family dogs where I'm living. I assist with their feeding schedule, diet, outdoor play, bathroom breaks, and walks when the Texas heat allows. My schedule is flexible, and I'm committed to giving every pet the time, attention, and care they deserve. I always do my best to follow each client's care routine as closely as possible. Whether your pet has a strict schedule for feeding, medication, walks, or other needs, or a more relaxed routine, I'll make sure they're well cared for. I take the time to understand each pet's personality so they feel safe, comfortable, loved, and entertained while you're away.

About: I’ve taken care of dogs and cats for a variety of neighbors and friends for the last 5 years. I have cared for small, medium, and large dogs. The largest dog was around 140 pounds. I have also looked after cats. I work full time Monday-Thursday, so I am mainly looking for opportunities over the weekend. However, I have a flexible work schedule so I can stop by during my lunch break as needed. I have lots of exposure to a variety of animals so I am excited to get to know your pet and make them feel loved while you are away! I love talking to my pets at home, giving them treats, going on walks, and cuddling on the couch.

About: I love taking care of pets and enabling pet owners some Deserved Time Off. I only take one dog/family at a time. BOARDING During boarding the dogs have access to our fenced backyard every two hours. I can take into walks in the morning and at night, per request. They play around the house together with Ein, my dog, and have access to unlimited water for drinking. I feed them in their own schedule - if your dog is a slow eater I might need to crate them as Ein will eat their food otherwise. Also no worries on bring food bowl or poop bags. Do bring food, treats, bed and any medication/tooth treats. DROP-IN/WALK In both walk and drop in visits, I take specific instructions on what you need to be taken care of. Don't forget to let me know the specifics and the details on how to get in your place. DAY CARE I live in a house, with a backward that has plenty space for the dogs to play. I let them out as frequently as they want/need. Since I work from home when I have pets over, they are able to hang out with each other and have a good time. I do my best to accommodate for day care schedule so I am happy to feed them within their schedule - if your dog is a slow eater, I might need to crate them while eating otherwise Ein will eat their food! ABOUT ME I absolutely love dogs and have one 8yo Corgi named Ein. I work from home 2-3 days a week (flexible schedule) and only take 1 dog / family at a time. I work from home and have very flexible schedules, so you can relax and enjoy some pet free time off while your pet receive the best possible care. I am used to dog walking and sitting and my place is completely friendly for dogs in all possible ways. They are allowed in couch and bed!

About: I took care of my grandmas super possessive chihuahua for over 7 years but with time learned how to handle him with caution and love ❤️ I work full time in the mornings and want to make some extra income in the afternoon while also focusing on finishing school. This would be a big help with that if I get some extra hours when I’m available :) I usually check up on my dog throughout the day 3 3-4 times to see if they need food, water or need to go outside to use the bathroom.

About: Every dollar brought in funds our self funded rescue, Redemption Ridge in Liberty Hill. A momma and (adult) son duo! Laura and Caden have been working in the animal rescue community for 30+ years and are approved fosters for Williamson Country Regional Shelter, Austin Pets Alive, Bastrop Animal Rescue and Austin Dog Rescue. Laura and family are the founders of Redemption Ridge in Liberty Hill where we have 2 horses, 2 goats, 2 pigs, 4 cats and 2 dogs. In order to help fund our work with animals, we provide care to other critters! Our passion is animal welfare. Our personal cats and dogs don't do well in boarding + the cost has become crazy and it simply doesn't need to be. Our goal is to make it comfortable for your furry family members while affordable for their families. ++Laura has hospice care experience and can manage medications, injections and tube feeding. Additional fees may apply for medical services. Rover customers get an additional discount on bookings at Redemption Ridge: an Animal Rescue Estate on Airbnb and VRBO. Just message us for more info! We work from home and travel very rarely so have a lot of flexibility. We love breaking up the day by going to visit critters in the area. We aim to keep them as comfortable as possible in the comfort of their own environment and routine. We work with animals of all types. Just ask!

My dog loves Saria! He has a lot of health problems and she's always so gentle with him and willing to work with him so that he doesn't over do it on walks. She's really conscious of his health and moods, which is much appreciated. She leaves great Rover cards too, I never have to wonder what went on during the walk or check in!

About: I’ve had pets my entire life, and caring for animals is something I truly enjoy. Being retired allows me to be reliable, flexible, and fully present for your pet's needs. I'm dependable, always on time, and committed to providing a safe and loving environment. I also have experience working with puppies and rescue dogs, so l understand different behaviors and how to handle them with patience and care. + Ask anything I’m retired and my schedule allows me to make more visits in a day and take short notice appointments depending on my schedule, which will be made available to all of you. I care for my pets in a very consistent manner, feeding, in a schedule making play time, walks, some training, talking with your pet in a very calm way works wonders.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
