“Anne went above and beyond our expectations of a house sitter. We received many pictures, videos, and messages while we were away. Our pets were happy and healthy when we arrived home. Can’t wait to book with her again soon!”

“Ryan was awesome! He was willing to come out same day for me to watch my dog for an unexpected change of plans, on a holiday weekend too! He took care of my doggo and was respectful and responsive to messages the whole time. I will definitely be rebooking Ryan again in the future.”

About: Growing up, my home was always filled with many dogs and that early experience taught me how to understand different personalities and make every pup feel comfortable. Over the years I’ve also been a trusted dog sitter for friends, neighbors, and family, caring for dogs with all sorts of routines and energy levels. I’m confident with puppies who need structure, older dogs who need patience, and everything in between. What sets me apart is the calm, reliable care I bring to every visit and my ability to adapt to each dog’s unique needs so they feel safe, happy, and right at home. Pet care fits easily into my routine, especially during the summer when I’m home from college and have plenty of availability. I’m able to schedule visits, walks, and check‑ins throughout the day, so pets get consistent attention and care. When I’m caring for pets in a client’s home, I focus on keeping their routine as familiar and comfortable as possible. I follow your instructions closely — feeding schedules, walks, playtime, and any special needs — so your pet feels secure in their own space. I take time to build trust, offer plenty of attention, and keep things clean . Since I’m home from college for the summer and have lots of flexibility, I’m able to give pets consistent check‑ins and companionship throughout the day.
“Always such a joy to have Jason watch my Shihtzu Leonard. He is always so kind and patient with him. Jason will continue to be our go-to dog sitter when needed in the Austin area. Thank you for loving Leonard, Jason!”

“Anthony was very attentive with my dog. I can tell he really enjoys our furry angels. Came home to a clean house and the guest room bed sheets washed and remade. Easy to work with. Responded quickly to all questions and requests. Will definitely have him sit with my best boy again soon.”

“Destiny was great. My cat is a total scaredy cat, but Destiny was very sweet and patient with him. He was starting to come out of his shell by the time the booking was over (only 2 nights). Would book again!”

“Geoffrey was the first Rover to keep my puppy, Storm. He was excellent and provided updates to let me know how their visit was going. I am excited to have Geoffrey take care of Storm again soon!”

“Delaney is amazing! She is so personable and cared for our house and Dog like she was part of our family. She is mature, aware, and I would trust her with our beautiful pup at any time. Cannot wait to book her again and glad to have her part of our circle. Thank you, Delaney.”

About: I’m a longtime pet parent with experience caring for dogs and cats, including large breeds, senior pets, and pets who need extra patience or structure. I’m attentive to routines, feeding instructions, potty breaks, walks, medications, allergies, mobility needs, and overall comfort. I primarily enjoy caring for pets in their own home through drop-ins, walks, and overnight stays, since many pets feel safest in their familiar environment. I’ll follow your instructions closely, send regular updates and photos, and treat your pet with the same care and respect I give my own. Pet care fits naturally into my routine because I’m already a longtime pet parent. I’m available for planned care around my work schedule, especially evenings, weekends, and advance bookings. I focus on keeping pets comfortable, calm, and on their normal routine — whether that means walks, potty breaks, playtime, meals, medication, or just a quiet presence. I’ll communicate clearly and send updates so you know how your pet is doing. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I follow owner instructions closely, including feeding, medication, walking routines, crate preferences, and any behavioral notes or triggers. I take introductions slowly, monitor body language, and do not force interactions with other pets. I keep a calm, clean environment and pay attention to changes in appetite, energy, bathroom habits, and overall comfort. I’ll treat your pet with patience, respect, and the same level of care I’d want for my own.
“Had a same day request and Kenna was there in a pinch! Total lifesaver... She was excellent with my dog and super super polite. 10 out of 10 will totally book with again!”

“Super relaxed laid back gentleman! Kept my doggo Opal company for the night while I stayed in austin! Very willing to go the extra mile and stay for awhile with her the following day. I apprciate you!”

“This was our first time to go on an extended vacation without our pups and we were anxious about leaving them with a stranger. We felt strongly about keeping their days as routinely and comfortable as possible. Nichole formed a trusting bond with both dogs from the very first meeting, and took amazing care of them while we were out of the country. She sent frequent updates and pictures and helped both of the dogs work through their separation anxieties. We would definitely use Nichole again!!”

“Nathan took great care of our dog Louie, cat Sushi and our home. Nathan was very communicative and provide status throughout his stay. Our home on our return showed he took well care of it. Would definitely recommend Nathan to others.”

“Kylie is so sweet. My cats responded differently to me when I came home, so I know they had a good time with her. She communicated on my door cam when she was leaving. Would definitely recommend.”

“We were very happy with Tobias’ care of our pups! Our dogs can be picky when it comes to humans they warm up to; it didn’t take them any time at all to warm up to Tobias. He was great! We have already re-booked him!”
“Brittney house sat for me and my 2 pups, she is great! I highly recommend her, she left my house super clean and sent lots of picture and updates. Will definitely be using her again.”

Catherine did a great job with Boo, we had a couple misunderstandings where I could have communicated better protocols for boo to stay out of trouble since can be very sneaky and likes getting into things to chew but overall every thing went well. By day 2 boo already loved hanging out with her all day

Adrian did an excellent job taking care of our dogs over the Fourth of July weekend. He was respectful of our home, followed all of our care instructions, and made multiple visits each day to let them out and walk them at appropriate times. We came home to happy, well-cared-for dogs and really appreciated the care and reliability he provided. We would definitely recommend Adrian and would happily book him again!

We felt very comfortable about our pets' care while Jason was staying in our home with them. He was communicative and sent some pictures. I appreciated that he changed the linens after his stay and didn't hesitate to ask questions when he had them. We would use him again for sure.
Nicole was wonderful with our dog, Sora! She was kind, communicative, and kept us updated throughout her stay. It was clear that she genuinely cared for Sora and treated her like her own. She was also very respectful of our home and made the entire experience stress-free. We truly appreciated all of her help and would happily book with her again. Highly recommend Nicole!

At our initial meet and greet, the kitties were super responsive to her and winston gave her the nod of approval. Katie took care of our 4 furbabies, following all instruction with ease. She quickly responded to messages and kept us up to date with the happenings of the day. Thank you Katie!

We (the pets and I both) felt completely at ease after meeting Emma for our meet and greet. We were out of the country and I lost my phone so my communication was a little limited but Emma still made it happen. She was also flexible when our flights were delayed getting home! I will definitely be reaching out again for our next trip!

Destiny was a wonderful sitter! She came by for two separate meet and greets to make sure our dog was comfortable with her and was an excellent communicator from start to finish. We received lots of photos and videos of our happy pup and she took great care of our home as well. We will definitely book with Destiny again in the future.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
The average cost for House Sitting in Brushy Creek on Rover is $45 per night (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.
Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .
As of July 2026, there are 4,493 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Brushy Creek. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Brushy Creek walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Brushy Creek maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Brushy Creek choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
