“I've never left my 4.5 yr old Basset with anyone other than family... so I was like a new mom on her first night out without her baby when I left Mr Potter to attend a special event with my whole family. Enter Jeré to my circle and to the rescue! She came for a Meet & Greet to meet her and for Mr Potter to get her scent to remember her later. She was just the right person! Sweet, encouraging & reassuring. I hired her for the event night... 7 hours. She sent me photos & "Pupdates" as helped me relax and feel confident so I could enjoy the event. I will use her services AGAIN for certain! Thanks, Jeré, for helping me cut those apron strings.”

“I recently had the pleasure of hiring Fen as dog babysitter for my beloved Bentley & Reyna, and I cannot express how thrilled I am with the experience! From the very first interaction, it was clear that she genuinely loves dogs and has a wealth of experience caring for them. She went above and beyond to ensure Bentley was not just well cared for, but truly happy. She sent me daily updates with adorable photos. It was comforting to know that Bentley was in such capable hands, receiving the attention and affection he deserves. What impressed me the most was her attention to detail. It was evident that she tailored her care to meet Bentleys needs. I wholeheartedly recommend her services to anyone looking for a reliable and loving dog babysitter. She exceeded all expectations, and I will definitely be reaching out to her for future pet-sitting needs. Thank you for taking such amazing care of my dogs.”

“Amber was lovely! Sat for the day in my home on a last minute request, checked in frequently with updates and pictures, and followed all care instructions ❤️ Thank you for the great care!”

“What a great time the puppers had. Every picture they were smiling. I was able to enjoy my trip and not worry. Frequently checked in just to let me know how they were doing. Highly recommend!”

“Anne communicated often and clearly with us while we were away which gave us peace of mind. She also was patient with Gordon and gained his confidence. We plan on using Anne in the future.”

“After our previously booked Rover had to cancel, we were stressed and worried about finding another Rover on short notice. Finding Karen was the best possible outcome. She is amazing and will be our first call from here on out. Blue was happy and well cared for and our home and plants were taken care of wonderfully.”

“Cat is conscientious, thoughtful, and our dog was immediately comfortable with her. We had no qualms whatsoever having her stay in our house while we left for 3 nights. I definitely recommend Cat and will book her again.”

“She is Awesome… Kaitlan kept our 4 babies for 9 days. She sent updates and pictures each day. We have one guy who is a little cranky and they were best friends after a few day’s. She took them for walks. The house was just like we left it (a nice surprise). She is now my number one and only dog sitter. Thank you Kaitlin for loving our babies like we do. You are awesome!!!”

“Deleyla was so great with my dogs. She stayed at my home and took such great care of my pups. She even helped out when I had to watch my friends dog unexpectedly and pet sit for him as well. The amazing pics of your pups you’ll get are just an added bonus. ❤️”

“Marina was fantastic with our crew of five cats! She was incredibly communicative throughout the sit, sending regular updates with photos that put our minds at ease every day. She gave all the kitties their regular outside cube time and even kept our fish thriving. What really stood out was how she won over our most particular cat, which is not an easy feat and speaks to her patience and genuine care. We’d trust Marina with our cats (and fish!) again in a heartbeat. Highly recommend!”

“Lauren took such great care of my lab, Maggie. Maggie is a rescue and can be a pretty anxious dog but was in high spirits when I returned, no doubt thanks to Lauren's sweet demeanor. She was communicative, caring and left my home in excellent condition. I will definitely use her again!”
“Always such a joy to have Jason watch my Shihtzu Leonard. He is always so kind and patient with him. Jason will continue to be our go-to dog sitter when needed in the Austin area. Thank you for loving Leonard, Jason!”

About: What sets me apart is deep, hands-on experience with trust-building and confidence work across all life stages. I’ve hand-raised a litter of seven newborn kittens, animals with disabilities, and been a dad to many rescues. Most recently, I was a dad to a rescue pitbull for over 12 years, a relationship that required patience, structure, and calm leadership. Together we learned how to overcome his history of abuse and worked to feel safe around people and in the world. Through that experience, I developed strong skills in reading body language, respecting boundaries, reinforcing positive behaviors, and creating predictable routines that help dogs feel secure. I do not use or condone aversive techniques; I rely exclusively on positive, reward-based handling, and if a dog arrives with aversive equipment, (such as a choke or prong collar), I will replace it with a safer alternative while they are in my care. I’m especially comfortable supporting anxious, sensitive, senior, and high-energy dogs, including strong or behaviorally reactive breeds, and I prioritize safety, trust, and emotional well-being. Pet care has alway been part of my daily life. Meal times, walk times, nap times, play times… I’m familiar and flexible with meeting the routine needs of our fur babies. Every animal is unique, so I rely heavily on responsible owners to communicate the type and level of care that suits their fur baby best. I live in an apartment, and I understand the space needs for larger animals. I accommodate this by being active outside. The apartment dog park, the local pond, and neighboring trails are my go-tos for regular leg-stretching.
“Heather and her husband were great with our 3 dogs, who are usually a bit nervous around new people. They loved them immediately! Heather was communicative the entire 5 days we were gone which was helpful as we had never left them alone for this long before. Will use again!”

“Anthony was great with our dog and cat! I needed someone I could trust and was comfortable with administering medication to our dog who hates taking her medicine. He was phenomenal! He provided many updates and photos, was very respectful of our home, and our littles LOVED him. We will definitely be repeat customer when we have to go out of town! Anthony is the best!”

“We LOVE Madchen to death!!! She is amazing to have sit with our two fur kids. Not only quite personable, she’s very responsive, communicative, responsible, and chill. Our dogs love her and are very at ease with her. We highly recommend Madchen if you are looking for that level of quality care for your pets as well.”

Tatum was wonderful! She stayed at our home taking care of our 2 dogs from Friday thru Monday. It was easy communicating with Tatum. She was reliable, respectful and flexible working with exactly what we needed. When we returned home our dogs were happy and our home was clean. I would recommend Tatum and we will definitely book with her again.

Kyle is simply AMAZING!! He is so wonderful with my large pack of fur babies. ♥️🐾 He’s got great attention to detail, asks questions that I’d never even think to leave for sitters… he goes above and beyond and all of my babies (even the mean antisocial one) love him!! 🙌🏼 I can’t recommend Kyle enough!! He’s the best sitter I could have ever asked for!! I will definitely be booking with Kyle again in the future!! 🤗🥰

Such a smooth experience! Nathan was so accommodating from the meet and greet, to making another trip just before booking to get all the details, and he provided excellent communication! We were able to get away and enjoy leaving our 3 fur babies (2 cats and a dog) in Nathan’s care six days. He loves his job and takes it very seriously will definitely be using Nathan’s services again! Thank you Nathan, we appreciate you and are so thankful you made everything go so smoothly!

Kaitlyn did an awesome job watching our fur babies! Midas is going through some separation anxiety after recently losing is best friend companion just last week. She did really good being with him and just hanging out and being present. She followed all the instructions, as I know they can be lengthy, and took care of the house and kept it clean. We will be reaching out to her again. 🙂

This was the first time Briana housesat for me, and she was great. From the meet and greet alone, I could tell she would do a great job taking care of my pets. She was friendly and really communicative and I felt confident that my animals were being well cared for. I came home to 3 happy animals. Thanks, Briana!
After our previously booked Rover had to cancel, we were stressed and worried about finding another Rover on short notice. Finding Karen was the best possible outcome. She is amazing and will be our first call from here on out. Blue was happy and well cared for and our home and plants were taken care of wonderfully.

Yuqing did an AMAZING job dog sitting in our home. She took great care of our dogs, treated them like they were part of her family. She gave updates daily, made sure they were walked and fed. We came home to a clean house and two very happy pups. She is the best dog sitter that we have used and would definitely book again!

Taylor is an incredible sitter. We had so much anxiety leaving our fur babies. Our dog was injured at the time which added to the stress of finding someone capable. Taylor handled everything with unbelievable care and communication. I am so impressed with her attention to detail and her ability to understand animals needs. We were able to actually relax while we were gone knowing our animals felt loved and cared for. I could shout praises for Taylor. Please don’t hesitate to have her as a pet sitter. I couldn’t imagine anyone better. She was able to give meds and assist our injured grumpy dog. Her updates were extremely detailed. I could go on and on. She will forever be our go to when we need care. Thank you Taylor!

Kasyn was absolutely amazing. One of our cats is kind of shy but he warmed up to her quickly. Our cats are restricted to wet food only for dietary reasons so they have to be fed multiple times a day. Their dishes were always clean (better than I usually keep them 😀). She took excellent care of them and the house and went above and beyond by taking out the trash and washing the bedding before she left. We got tons of updates and pictures and our cats were so much happier and content when we got back from this vacation. We will definitely be having her house/cat sit in the future.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
The average cost for House Sitting in Cedar Park on Rover is $53.5 per night (as of August 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.
Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .
As of August 2026, there are 4,535 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Cedar Park. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Cedar Park walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Cedar Park maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Cedar Park choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
