“Emily did an amazing job watching my dog! I have a large dog and I felt comfortable leaving her in Emily‘s care. She was communicative, sent constant updates and pictures. And gave great attention to my dog, I was not stressed or anxious about the care that she was getting while I was away :)”

“Kylie is so sweet. My cats responded differently to me when I came home, so I know they had a good time with her. She communicated on my door cam when she was leaving. Would definitely recommend.”

He worked with our flight being rescheduled with out a problem. Doggo was greatly cared for and was very happy. He sent us daily photos which I loved. Highly recommend.”

“Deleyla is amazing! She took such great care of our senior dog and senior cat and fish tanks. I am a little bit of an anxious traveler and worry about my pets while I am out of town. She gave such great updates with photos and videos that always kept me at ease. It was nice coming home to happy pets and my house seemed cleaner than when we left. I would recommend her and hope we get a chance for her to watch our fur babies again.”

“Jason was great with my dogs. First time using this service and I have to say he did awesome with my babies. Jason sent me updates and pictures throughout the time he was with them. “Kelsie is awesome! I will definitely ask her to watch my babies again, she was so communicative and gave me pictures and a daily schedule of happenings. She even gave my animal her medication which wasn’t even planned. It feels really good to leave town and know that your animals are in the hands of someone like her.”

“Kayla took care of our pup for 10 days while we were away. Since this was our first time leaving our pup, we were anxious about how he was going to handle these 10 days. But Kayla took such good care of him that he now still goes to the room where they stayed to see if he can find Kayla and her daughter Jenesis. Kayla sent us pictures and videos throughout these 10 days and kept us abreast of everything that went on. Thank you Kayla for taking care of our baby!”

“Marina was fantastic with our crew of five cats! She was incredibly communicative throughout the sit, sending regular updates with photos that put our minds at ease every day. She gave all the kitties their regular outside cube time and even kept our fish thriving. What really stood out was how she won over our most particular cat, which is not an easy feat and speaks to her patience and genuine care. We’d trust Marina with our cats (and fish!) again in a heartbeat. Highly recommend!”

“Mel was great. She was communicative, gave my dog lots of exercise, and I came home to a dog that was finally eating on her own thanks to a little treat trick Mel figured out. I'm already rebooking her for another week.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Cedar Park
Yuqing did an AMAZING job dog sitting in our home. She took great care of our dogs, treated them like they were part of her family. She gave updates daily, made sure they were walked and fed. We came home to a clean house and two very happy pups. She is the best dog sitter that we have used and would definitely book again!

Emily was so easy to work with. This was our first time using Rover and we felt totally confident about leaving our two fur babies in her care. She was competent when giving our dog his eye drops and she was extremely communicative. We would definitely use her again without hesitation!

Taylor is an incredible sitter. We had so much anxiety leaving our fur babies. Our dog was injured at the time which added to the stress of finding someone capable. Taylor handled everything with unbelievable care and communication. I am so impressed with her attention to detail and her ability to understand animals needs. We were able to actually relax while we were gone knowing our animals felt loved and cared for. I could shout praises for Taylor. Please don’t hesitate to have her as a pet sitter. I couldn’t imagine anyone better. She was able to give meds and assist our injured grumpy dog. Her updates were extremely detailed. I could go on and on. She will forever be our go to when we need care. Thank you Taylor!

Kasyn was absolutely amazing. One of our cats is kind of shy but he warmed up to her quickly. Our cats are restricted to wet food only for dietary reasons so they have to be fed multiple times a day. Their dishes were always clean (better than I usually keep them 😀). She took excellent care of them and the house and went above and beyond by taking out the trash and washing the bedding before she left. We got tons of updates and pictures and our cats were so much happier and content when we got back from this vacation. We will definitely be having her house/cat sit in the future.

Tina was attentive and took excellent care of both our kitten and senior cat. She provided daily updates and administered meds to our senior cat consistently and on schedule the whole stay. She went above and beyond to not just watch our cats, but to build a relationship with them and make them comfortable. Minnie was not thrilled to have her in the house, but Tina’s patience won her over by the end of the stay!! We are very grateful for her time. She will be the first person we contact if we need our cats cared for again.

Matthew is amazing. All the things you want in someone that takes care of your fur baby!…. Responsible, responsive, regular updates (with pictures). I know my boy is being well taken care of when we are gone. It’s so comforting knowing he’s in great, caring hands. Thank you, Matthew!!!!

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Cedar Park walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Cedar Park maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Cedar Park choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Cedar Park. On Rover:
- 92% of sitters can help with special care needs

- 97% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
