About: I've taken care of pets when I was younger, but throughout the past couple of years I haven't cared for many animals. I'll watch a friends dog here and there, but I'd love to get more into animal care. Pets give off special energies and I love how they can make a person feel more comfortable and relaxed. I'd love to have pets when I move into a place of my own, but until then I'll care for yours! Pretty open availability - just get with me on details! Luckily, I work from home full-time, so we should be able to work something out! I'm generally very gentle and patient when it comes to animal care. I strongly believe in listening to the owners needs and methods of caring for their pets as it will allow for me to give your pet the best care possible. I love playtimes and cuddling with dogs and cats, so expect them to receive lots of love! I will happily follow any protocol you have for your pet as long as you clearly communicate that with me beforehand.

About: Hello! My name is Ashlyn and I have been around animals my entire life. I grew up having a dog, rabbits, guinea pigs, fish, and hermit crabs, and even raised goats and rabbits in FFA! I love all types of animals and enjoy getting outside for walks and hikes. Whether it’s taking an energetic pup for a walk or dropping in on a lazy dog, I’d love to help care for your pet however you may need. Have a pup unable to (or strongly dislikes) walking but loves to be outside? I’ll bring my wagon and happily pull them behind me! Does your dog just need someone to pet and love on them while you’re away? No worries, I’ve got you covered! I am currently earning my bachelors degree and have Summer break coming up from June-August. I’ll be available from 10 am to 8 pm daily, or can schedule outside of these times with 24 hour notice. Caring for and loving animals is a passion of mine and their health is my number one priority. I am well-versed in following instructions, and given specific guidelines I will maintain your dog’s routine.

Brandy and Ladybug get along so well and my sweet girl looks forward to her walks! It is because Brandy lets her sniff and walk so that she gets physical and mind exercise. Ladybug loves to discover the area around her neighborhood & Brandy lets her do that. I know she thinks it all belongs to her to protect! I appreciate all the things Brandy does & I highly recommend her!

Luka had a blast on his walk! Hayden did a great job giving him exercise while I was out at work and made sure to give him breaks in the shade! When I got home, Luka was a happy boy and nice and relaxed! Luka can be a reactive pup toward other dogs and I’m glad I am able to trust Hayden to care for him properly to keep him and other dogs safe! I also loved seeing picture updates from Hayden from their time on the walk! 10/10 will book Hayden again!!!

About: Dogs have always been a big part of my life, and caring for them is something I truly enjoy. I understand that every dog has their own unique personality, energy level, and routine. Whether your pup loves long walks, playtime, belly rubs, or simply relaxing with a companion, I'll make sure they feel safe, happy, and loved while you're away. Friends, family, and neighbors have trusted me with their dogs for years because they know I'll care for them like they're my own. I take the time to follow your dog's routine, provide plenty of exercise, attention, and affection, and make sure they feel comfortable and secure. My goal is to give you peace of mind, knowing your furry family member is receiving dependable, compassionate care in a loving environment. I currently work in special education, where patience, compassion, and dependability are part of my everyday life. Pet sitting is something I genuinely enjoy, and I'm available on weekends and holidays to provide loving, reliable care for your furry family members. Whether it's walks, playtime, feeding, or simply keeping your pet company, I'll make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for while you're away. I'm happy to care for your pet in the comfort of your home, where they can stay relaxed in their familiar surroundings. I'll follow their routine, provide plenty of love, attention, exercise, and companionship, and make sure they feel safe and cared for while you're away. My goal is to give both you and your pet a positive, stress-free experience.

About: After finishing Graduate school and getting my first full-time job as a music teacher, I adopted my dog, Bailey. She had just turned two and was given up to the animal shelter because she was "too much to handle". She is a blue heeler (cattle dog) mix and has the strongest prey drive. It is challenging to train an intelligent dog with a strong prey drive that is also an escape artist! I understand the importance of not letting the dog get out without a leash properly secure. Bailey is now 11 years old and I am so proud of her progress. I'm not a dog training but I have helped my brother start the training progress with his first young dog. And have helped care for his 4 cats and his Great Pyrenees Mountain dog mix when he was gone for a week. Growing up I was always the dog lover and when I was old enough for our first family dog, we got a Shih Tzu and I took her through 4H dog training and agility. I have a special talent for trimming dog toe nails even for the ones that normally won't let people touch their paws. I feel comfortable walking big dogs or dogs that tend to pull. I also enjoy running with dogs if that is something your dog might need/enjoy. I've taken my dog on bike rides but that takes some extra training and trust to bike with a dog. I run my own private violin studio so my work hours are M-F after school hours. I'm usually available in the mornings and afternoons and late evening to care for your pet when you need a hand. And I'm available the weekends around my performing gigs. I am able to care for your pet(s) in your home. I have reliable transportation and can stay at your place if needed but prefer to stop in and not stay.

About: Pets have always been a big part of my life, and I've grown up treating them as part of the family. I have experience caring for dogs of all ages, from energetic puppies to senior companions. I especially enjoy spending time with puppies and kittens who are SO very cute but often need a little more attention, patience, and consistency. Being a pet owner myself, I understand how much trust it takes to leave your pet in someone else's care. My goal is to make sure your pet feels safe, loved, and comfortable while giving you complete peace of mind. Expect plenty of cuddles, walks, playtime, and personalized care tailored to your pet's needs. I’m currently a stay-at-home mom and have plenty of time during the summer to check in on your pets. My time flexibility makes scheduling easy! My family currently has one dog, two cats, and five chickens. The type of care I’d expect for them is the same type of care I will give for your pets as well.

  • 92% of walkers can help with special care needs
  • 96% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 96% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
