“I can’t recommend Prayas enough! In a short time Bud has become BFFs with Prayas! Since they’ve been walking Bud’s mood & energy level has been incredible. Soon I expect the pounds to shed! Prayas is punctual, professional, caring and willing to accept my last minute requests (huge bonus for this medical professional). Bud gets so excited every time he sees Prayas, which says it all! Look no further if you need a reliable, trustworthy walker/sitter/dog friend!”

“Laura has been walking our dog Max for the last two weeks and when they come back you can tell that he doesn’t want her to leave. He fell in love with her from the first moment.”
About: Pets have always been a big part of my life, and I've grown up treating them as part of the family. I have experience caring for dogs of all ages, from energetic puppies to senior companions. I especially enjoy spending time with puppies and kittens who are SO very cute but often need a little more attention, patience, and consistency. Being a pet owner myself, I understand how much trust it takes to leave your pet in someone else's care. My goal is to make sure your pet feels safe, loved, and comfortable while giving you complete peace of mind. Expect plenty of cuddles, walks, playtime, and personalized care tailored to your pet's needs. I’m currently a stay-at-home mom and have plenty of time during the summer to check in on your pets. My time flexibility makes scheduling easy! My family currently has one dog, two cats, and five chickens. The type of care I’d expect for them is the same type of care I will give for your pets as well.
About: I own a beautiful Aussie of my own and have taken care of him since he was three months old. I frequently go to the dog park, trails and open fields to ensure good exercise for my pet. I realize the importance of regular potty breaks, playtime and feedings. I am very calm and patient understanding that dogs require much attention and affection. I am very reliable and consistent making plans easy for you to schedule confidently. I understand if there are any special requests or conditions with a pet. I walk dogs in any weather conditions and have profound time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks. I am currently working full time and more flexible on weekends. But I can work around schedules— just reach out and we can try to work it out. My schedule often changes so I can be flexible during the week as well Your pets safety is my number one concern. Always ensuring they are taken care of by instruction and instinct. I clean up after myself and your pet — being sure you come home to cleanliness. Locking up your home and triple checking everything is in order.
About: I have owned two dogs myself, and my girlfriend owns one aswell, one being a puppy, and another gone sadly. I have experience with all ages of animals. This is currently my side hustle, and would love to care for pets! I am free most of the time but might also pick up a part time job. I am very loving, gentle, and very patient with animals. A lot of people also say their animals get a long with me really easily!
About: I’m a passionate, reliable, cat, and dog sitter who truly gets their different needs, respect, boundaries, and treats every pet with patience, love, and experience. I also have A diabetic dog that I administer insulin for. Pet care fits easily into my daily routine because I am available from 10:00 AM until midnight and can also provide overnight care when needed. During that time, I focus on giving pets plenty of attention, playtime, exercise, feeding, and companionship. I enjoy taking dogs on healthy walks, playing interactive games, and making sure both dogs and cats feel comfortable, happy, and loved while their owners are away. I can provide services for your fur babies, keeping them loved, respected, and cared for 24/7 with the promise of happy purrs, and lots of tailwagging
About: I've taken care of pets when I was younger, but throughout the past couple of years I haven't cared for many animals. I'll watch a friends dog here and there, but I'd love to get more into animal care. Pets give off special energies and I love how they can make a person feel more comfortable and relaxed. I'd love to have pets when I move into a place of my own, but until then I'll care for yours! Pretty open availability - just get with me on details! Luckily, I work from home full-time, so we should be able to work something out! I'm generally very gentle and patient when it comes to animal care. I strongly believe in listening to the owners needs and methods of caring for their pets as it will allow for me to give your pet the best care possible. I love playtimes and cuddling with dogs and cats, so expect them to receive lots of love! I will happily follow any protocol you have for your pet as long as you clearly communicate that with me beforehand.

I've spent my entire life caring for animals and have experience with dogs of all sizes, breeds, and personalities - from tiny companions to large, powerful working breeds. I understand that every animal is an individual, and my goal is always to create a calm, safe, and positive experience while respecting your pet's unique needs. I have experience caring for dogs, cats, reptiles, rodents, chickens, and more. Whether your pet is energetic and playful, shy and nervous, or simply needs a consistent routine while you're away, I'II meet them where they are. I work from home as an entrepreneur, which gives me a flexible schedule and allows me to provide dependable care just about any time your family needs it. Safety, trust, and communication are my top priorities. I'll treat your animals with the same patience and attention I give my own. I have experiencing administering medicine, caring for elderly animals, as well as handicapped animals.
About: After finishing Graduate school and getting my first full-time job as a music teacher, I adopted my dog, Bailey. She had just turned two and was given up to the animal shelter because she was "too much to handle". She is a blue heeler (cattle dog) mix and has the strongest prey drive. It is challenging to train an intelligent dog with a strong prey drive that is also an escape artist! I understand the importance of not letting the dog get out without a leash properly secure. Bailey is now 11 years old and I am so proud of her progress. I'm not a dog training but I have helped my brother start the training progress with his first young dog. And have helped care for his 4 cats and his Great Pyrenees Mountain dog mix when he was gone for a week. Growing up I was always the dog lover and when I was old enough for our first family dog, we got a Shih Tzu and I took her through 4H dog training and agility. I have a special talent for trimming dog toe nails even for the ones that normally won't let people touch their paws. I feel comfortable walking big dogs or dogs that tend to pull. I also enjoy running with dogs if that is something your dog might need/enjoy. I've taken my dog on bike rides but that takes some extra training and trust to bike with a dog. I run my own private violin studio so my work hours are M-F after school hours. I'm usually available in the mornings and afternoons and late evening to care for your pet when you need a hand. And I'm available the weekends around my performing gigs. I am able to care for your pet(s) in your home. I have reliable transportation and can stay at your place if needed but prefer to stop in and not stay.
“Luka had a blast on his walk! Hayden did a great job giving him exercise while I was out at work and made sure to give him breaks in the shade! When I got home, Luka was a happy boy and nice and relaxed! Luka can be a reactive pup toward other dogs and I’m glad I am able to trust Hayden to care for him properly to keep him and other dogs safe! I also loved seeing picture updates from Hayden from their time on the walk! 10/10 will book Hayden again!!!”

“Brandy is awesome! I can't say enough good things about her. She is loving and caring to my sweet Ladybug and always is in tune to her needs. She lets me know if there is anything going on I should be alerted to. I have used Rover before and had good dog walkers, but Brandy gives that extra effort as if it were her dog and is excellent! Highly recommended!!”

“Yisel & Victor took such great care of my baby Rylee last minute just after the holiday. I truly appreciated how they kept me updated and were prompt and timely. I highly recommend their service. Thank you so much!”

Dree was amazing while taking care of my dog this past week. She was always very attentive and kept me updated with lots of photos and videos, which made me feel really at ease knowing everything was going well. My dog clearly had a great time with her, and it showed in how happy and comfortable he looked. She is an excellent pet caregiver—very professional, reliable, and genuinely caring. I would 100% recommend her to anyone looking for someone they can trust with their pets.

Sophie was a life savor last weekend, she was available last minute and was able to take my baby out for a 30 minute walk. she was very responsive and professional. Oakley looked to have had a great time. I already have an overnight booked with sophie since she was so awesome!

Jamie was an amazing dog walker and took such great care of my dogs while I was on vacation. She was reliable, communicative, and clearly cared about their well-being. Even during an ice storm, she arrived on time without hesitation, which gave me so much peace of mind while I was away. I came home to happy, well-cared-for dogs, and I couldn’t be more grateful. I highly recommend Jamie to anyone looking for a dependable and compassionate dog walker.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
