“My pup's stay with Stacy was wonderful! The whole process of setting up a meet and greet, drop off, and pic up was very smooth and easy. Stacy communicates very thoughtfully throughout and I really enjoyed all the pictures of my pup that I recieved throughout the stay. He was very well taken care of and fit in really well at Stacy's home. Thank you Stacy for making my pup's time so smooth and enjoyable! He came back in happy spirits. Looking forward to booking more stays with Stacy again!”

“Selena was so wonderful with out for babies! Our pups got so much love while we were gone and we received daily "pup-dates " on how our Lucy and ricky did that day. Cant say enough good things about how well they were taken care of. 10/10-HIGHLY RECOMMEND!”

“We had a fantastic experience! Our dog was well cared for, and we loved receiving frequent updates and pictures. The sitter has a lovely, spacious yard and a friendly dog for our pup to play with. It was reassuring to know my dog was in very good hands. Highly recommend.”

“Robert took fantastic care of our Golden Doodle, Brighton. Cody, Robert’s dog was the best co-host, and played with Brighton. I highly recommend booking with Robert!”

“Briona was very accommodating and took good care of our dogs. She was understanding when my senior dog chewed up part of her fence. It’s a lot to take on and she made me feel at ease. We would use Briona again if she would take us!”

“Chiao was by far one of the best -if not the best-sitters we’ve ever had for our dog , Saburi. She was so kind, courteous, and wonderfully communicative. Chiao sent frequent updates throughout the day along with adorable photos. I never once felt anxious about how Saburi was doing away from home . Her dogs are incredibly well mannered and got along beautifully with mine. I truly can’t express enough how amazing Chiao is! If you have the opportunity to have Chiao watch your pet, *don’t* hesitate, go with her!Chiao was by far one of the best -if not the best-sitters we’ve ever had for our dog , Saburi. “Paige was an honor to have as a sitter. I can tell she cares about animals so much. My dog warmed up to her quickly. She fed my dog some homemade dog food she had made herself. She sent me frequent photos and updates and was responsive to any questions I had. She is also very knowledgeable on care for dogs.”

“We had an amazing experience with Kristina! 😊 She provided great communication, wonderful photos and videos, and her family with their friendly dogs made our pups feel right at home. Our dogs, Coco and Leo, had a blast making new friends! 👍 What truly made our experience special was when Kristina celebrated Coco’s birthday while we were away - it was our first time leaving him on his special day, and she made it truly unforgettable. We highly recommend Kristina 100%! I wish I can give her 100 stars if we could ⭐️⭐️⭐️🌟🌟... She's top- notch care with love, and we'll always use her services again. ❤️ Thank you, Kristina, and your beautiful family for everything! 🙏🥰"”

“Anthony and Lindsey were wonderful sitters for my pups! It was my first time boarding them in many years and I appreciated their communication throughout the meet & greet and during my pups stay! We’ll definitely rebook the next time I’m out of town.”

“Qui was amazing as usual! We always feel comfortable leaving our dog, Momo, with Qui and his family. They take him on walks and are great at playing with him. He always sends us pictures and videos which we love. On this most recent trip our flights were delayed and then canceled, but Qui was so accommodating to keep taking care of Momo while we figured a way back home.”

“It was a great experience to have Brenda take care of our dog. We were receiving frequent updates of how our beagle was doing, with cute pics. Moreover and what's most important our dog came home happy and content. I will definitely use Brenda in the future and highly recommend! Thank you Brenda so much for carrying for our Joey like it was your own dog!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Cedar Park
Katie took great care of our pugs while we were traveling for a week! She was kind enough to do a meet-and-greet when I first reached out so that we could be sure they would be a good fit for her. She even suggested doing a play date for a couple of hours leading up to our trip so that our dogs would feel comfortable. This was our first time leaving our babies and I was quite anxious about it, but Katie was great about texting us updates and pictures. I felt great peace of mind knowing that they were having fun with her dog and her family. Thank you so much Katie!

She is more than amazing! She was incredibly loving and caring with Benji. She texted me every day, sending pictures and updates, and whenever she had a question, she paid close attention to details—like what Benji might be afraid of and what he likes. He warmed up to her very quickly, which is unusual for him, and I believe that's because of how gentle and caring she was with him. We feel so lucky to have found her!

Kerrigan continues to be the person in Austin I most trust with my dogs. I have zero concerns leaving them behind when we're out of town because my dogs are on a legitimate vacation when they stay. Can't say enough good things... but I also want to keep her close to my chest so she doesn't book out ;)

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in TX ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
