“Melissa did such an amazing job with our fur baby, Nubi! My boyfriend and I think Nubi is such a good girl to start. But Melissa has managed to make her an even gooder girl! Goodest girl, if you ask me :) we highly recommend that your dogs would be in the best care with Melissa! Will definitely book her again without any hesitation in the future. Thank you so much Melissa!”

“Nicholas is awesome! He truly takes treats your pet like one of his own. He makes sure your pet gets plenty of exercise and provides updates with pictures. Highly recommend him!”

“They treated Becky like family. She had a great time playing in the back yard & with their sweet dog. I can’t speak highly enough about how well they treated my dog. If you want a lovely trust worthy person/family to watch your dog while you are gone look no further.”

“Lori is absolutely wonderful. She sent regular pictures and updates of my dog while she cared for him, but went beyond that and a did a few other things that let me know he was extremely well cared for. I highly recommend her and would use her again!”

“We dropped our fur baby at Ashwani and Garima’s last weekend and Ashwani was excellent with our boy during his stay. We first had a meet & greet and we were given a tour. During our stay, we were constantly receiving updates via pics/videos. I was amazed to see that our fur baby was actually sad after we picked him up which tells me that he had a joyful stay. I am definitely rebooking in future and i highly recommend Ashwani and garima.”

“I a 100% recommend Nadin! She is very caring and attentive. Indy was in good hands. They walked a lot, went for hikes, dog parks and enjoyed good weather in the backyard. She was caring for him as much as for her own dog. I got plenty of pictures and videos and I saw Indy was having a good time. Her dog, Pickle, and Indy became friends! It’s very rare for Indy to play with other dogs and sleep back to back. He is more a people’s dog. I was very happy I chose Nadin as his sitter. I had peace of mind knowing he is having a great time. I can’t recommend her services enough!”

“Gwen and Dalton take the best care of our sweet dog. They take him on walks, play lots of fetch and give him all of the love! I receive photos daily, which is nice. Their dog, Kato, is the sweetest guy and even runs his own Instagram account! Check it out - you won’t be disappointed! (@katobugandfriends) I’m already planning to use them for our next trip!”
“Leo had such an amazing time! He felt so comfortable and cared for the entire stay. The sitter sent regular updates and photos, which made me feel completely at ease. Leo can be a little sensitive, but he was so happy and relaxed when I picked him up. Truly grateful for the wonderful care!”

“Renada is a great caretaker. My experience has always been amazing and she really loves dogs. She has given her all to take amazing care of my dog and I could not be happier with her services.”

“Courtney is highly recommended! She was patient and kind to my two dachshunds! She communicated regularly with me everyday! I will be booking with her again in the future!”

“I went on a trip 5 day trip and left my 15lbs. chiweenie with Nelda and she made him feel right at home. He had all the backyard time he wanted and I even got daily updates and pictures. On pick-up day my flight got canceled and rebooked for the following day. Nelda was very accommodating and understanding and he was able to stay an extra day with her. I would leave my pup with her again.”

About: Dogs have been part of my life for as long as I can remember. It just comes naturally to me. Today I share my home with Arya, my 5-year-old Shorkie, two little kids, and a fully fenced yard where dogs run free and feel at home. Your dog won’t just be “watched” here — they’ll be loved. I work from home, so your pup has my attention throughout the day. I’m available all day with occasional short outings for my kids’ activities Your dog is treated like family from the moment they arrive. Arya and your pup will have a fully fenced yard to roam and play freely. I provide regular updates and photos throughout the day so you always know how your fur baby is doing. Every dog settles in at their own pace and I make sure they feel safe and comfortable in our home.
“Erik and his family took such good care of Brodie. I have never boarded Brodie before and was a little nervous, but Erik immediately eased my nerves with a friendly welcome and consistently sending me pictures, videos, and updates on Brodie. Thank you so much Erik! :)”

“Kimberly was great with our puppy! It was our first time using a rover and we had zero concerns or issues going into the process with her. Luna was happy and healthy when we picked her up and she played greatly with Kimberly and her own dog. I certainly recommend Kimberly to anyone who is searching for a rover and believe she is more than capable to offering a healthy, fun, and appropriate environment to any dog. Luna and us were very pleased with this choice, thanks a ton Kimberly!”

“Manny did an amazing job watching our two huskies for a few days! He made sure they got plenty of walks and always sent us pictures so we could see how they were doing. Will definitely book again!”

“Mina & Antony are the perfect pair to watch your beloved pet while you are away. I can rest assured knowing that my little one is in trusted hands. Regular updates and videos never fail to make me smile.”

Patrick and his family created the best (or maybe even better) home away from home for our pup! They truly cared for him like one of their own. We loved getting updates of all the fun they were having as well as great pictures during scout’s stay. Thank you, Patrick & fam! Until the next time!

Melissa was amazing! She went above and beyond and spoiled my dogs! They came home better than when I dropped them off— she trimmed their paws and gave them a bath which I greatly appreciated! I will def use her again, she really cares about dogs in her care and treats them like her own.

Chloe and her family were such a gift to us this Christmas. We needed 8 days over a holiday (with very short notice) and have 2 precious but very attached Cavalier King Charles Spaniels....it could have been so stressful, but Chloe's son and daughter greeted us with a hand drawing of our girls and their excitement calmed any uncertainly. Not only did Chloe expertly care for our 2 pups, they made them part of the family for the holiday. We could not be more pleased or more grateful for the care and love they were given. We hate leaving our pups behind, but daily photos from Chloe and the thoughtful way she grew to know their personalities so quickly made our time away so much more relaxing. Thank you Chloe for taking a last minute Christmas request, for your compassion and care and thank you for all the daily walks and cuddles your family gave my pups. You are top of our list the next time we need someone to watch Lucy and Audrey and I know they will be excited to return.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in TX ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
