“Arie & Etty took fantastic care of Stappen while I was gone. They were patient with his shyness and sent many updates! I felt very lucky that they were available to watch him and took such great care of him.”

“Aine was absolutely fantastic. From the start and meeting her at first, she asked questions to make sure she understood Ralph’s needs and how best to care for him. She sent daily updates and the CUTEST photos. I can’t recommend her enough and would absolutely use her again. Thank you Aine!!”

“Updated me with adorable pictures of my dog. When I went to pick him up he wanted to go back inside their house! Haha so he must have enjoyed his time. Great communication and nice home for my dog to stay while I was out of town :)”

“Denise is a fantastic, caring sitter! She took wonderful care of our Harley and sent regular updates and photos! Her dog as well as the other boarders were very welcoming and the backyard is large and secure. Great experience!”

“We would recommend Emma to anyone needing dog boarding in the area. She sent plenty of pictures, was very quick to communicate, and treated our fur baby like he was one of her own. Tons of walks and playing with her own dog as well.”

“I cannot say enough about the care provided to our puppy while we were away. They loved him, taught him air, stay and come! He received outstanding care! Wish I could give 10 stars!”

“As an anxious dog mom who had never left my dog with sitters before (and a former Rover sitter myself), I couldn’t have asked for a better experience with Savannah and Gabriel! They were incredibly communicative and responsive, and sent daily photos and updates that gave me so much peace of mind. Churro is still a puppy and potty training, and they were so understanding and even helped continue working with her. She had the best time playing with Kona and the other small dogs. I was able to fully enjoy my trip knowing she was in such great hands. We’ll absolutely book with them again!”

“Amazing care takers. I was out of town for a week and they always kept me informed and up to date on Wally. They even gave me some tips and ideas for helping with his tendencies. Highly recommend!”

“Marissa was a wonderful host to my girl. I get frequent updates, pictures, and videos of my pup playing and looking happy as a clam. I felt very fortunate to have had such an awesome sitter for my dog and peace of mind while I was away. Would definitely recommend Marissa for a short or long term stay!”

“We couldn’t be happier with the care of our baby, Oreo received during his stay. Erica really took the time to make sure she understood Oreo’s needs, preferences and medications. We loved how she provided us regular updates, including cute photos/video of Oreo enjoying his time there. When I picked him up, he was happy, content and clearly had a wonderful, comfortable stay. We are so relieved to have found such a reliable and caring boarding place for Oreo. We will definitely trust her with Oreo again in the future. Highly recommended.”
“Gol and her daughter made my 2 dogs feel right at home and took amazing care of them over a 4 day period. I had planned to have them care for my younger, larger dog at first, but because of my dog's reactivity,I decided to board my 2 smaller, older dogs instead. Gol and her daughter were open to this last minute change, and took in my 2 older dogs with no hesitation . They accommodated me early in the morning, at 5:30 am, before my flight. I'm very thankful to have found such kind, compassionate sitters that are willing to work with your individual circumstances. I highly recommend them.”

“I would give 10 stars if possible! Sherry is the sweetest person and she took care of Bruce for 6 days when i was out of town! She sent lots of pictures and captured some really beautiful moments with Bruce and her kid! I could see Bruce was really happy being with her and Ruby being such a great dog companion ♥️ I was rest assured on my trip and would always consider her every time i need a sitter! ☺️ 100% recommend!!”

“My dog had a wonderful time with Nikki, her family, and their two black labs. Every day Nikki would send me multiple pictures of him having a wonderful time. He even seemed a little sad when I picked him up at the end of my trip. LOL.”

“Emma was great. She provided a a safe, calm environment for my pup, sent me photos and videos of Molly having fun. Drop off was quick and drama free - pick up was the same. Worth every penny! Thank you Emma!”

“Patrick was really patient with (Sarge) my bloodhound and kept me updated with photos and texts. Sarge wasn’t feeling well and Patrick took good care of him! Thank you again for keeping Sarge company while I was gone!”

“Michelle is a warm and caring person who takes great care of my senior pup Maddie. Her little chihuahua Shelby is so sweet, gentle and affectionate. I feel very comfortable leaving Maddie here and appreciate the daily updates and photos.”

“Rich did great with my dog, ghost! I felt very comfortable leaving him with Rich after the initial meet and greet. I had a lot of photos sent to me and he checked in everyday to give updates.”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in TX ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
