“Julie and Michael were able to help us out on just a few hours notice and took excellent care of our dog. They sent updates and pictures everyday, and Nieve seemed like she really enjoyed her time there. We’ll definitely be rebooking soon!”

“We couldn't have asked for a better dog sitter! They truly went the extra mile in every aspect of our dog's stay. From the moment we dropped our dog off, they made both us and our dog feel like family. Communication was outstanding, and we received so many adorable photos and updates throughout the stay, which gave us complete peace of mind. It was obvious our dog was loved, well cared for, and having the best time. We are so grateful and will absolutely be booking with them again. Highly recommend!”

“Stephanie and her family were so welcoming to my puppy. She had a wonderful time running around, exploring, playing and cuddling. I received lots of photos and updates to let me know that she was a happy girl. I am grateful.”

“Sofía and her family took amazing care of Molkas! Great communication, attentive, and very loving. He was in such good hands. Without a doubt, I will leave Molkas with her again in the future. Highly recommend!”

“Lucia took excellent care of my 1 1/2 year old Wheaten Terrier. She has two puppies of her own and the 3 got along so well. Lucia sent us pictures of our puppy on walks, playing, and napping, about every two days. Pictures helped me know our puppy was happy and in good hands. I highly recommend Lucia.”

“Milo just loves going to Katy’s home, he loves the whole family and loves to play with Gracie. He definitely is at fun camp while there. I highly recommend Katy and her family, they are just great!”

“Lily is an awesome sitter for Bailey. Obviously a dog lover (most important trait) but also has a great house and yard and playmates. Plus she’s friendly and responsive.”

“The Best Home Away from Home! Our dogs got a pampering vacation while we had one too! I honestly believe that our dogs left their home with their hearts and bellies full. We are hiring them again in a month an a half and for over 10 days. Communication was really easy and I had a lot of specific info around feeding and walks. They were very welcoming as I showed up with multiple dog beds and leashes and treat bags and refrigerated food, etc, etc. Our trip was international and we felt peace of mind the whole time away. Titan is such a mama's boy that he won't walk with anyone else and Tasha is so timid that she won't warm up to anyone. Soon the photos and videos of Tasha rolling onto her back for tummy caresses and both on walks with tails wagging and sleeping on their laps and beds. This family conquered their trust pretty quickly.”

“Chuck is the absolute best! Our family is moving and we needed someone to take care of our dog while we are in limbo. Not only did Chuck look after her, he sent pictures, taught her new tricks, and was always available whenever we had a question. Chuck is an absolute no brainer if you are looking for a pet sitter.”

“Lucy came home happy, clean and healthy. Really appreciated almost daily pictures of her playing with new friends in their great open backyard. Also really appreciated the teens in the house welcoming her as we drove up and being with her and giving us an update when we picked her up.”

“Linda was amazing! She took great care of my dog and communicated the perfect amount. Her place was super tidy and cozy. When I picked Brandy up, I could tell how happy and calm she was. As the owner of an anxious dog, I was very happy with our experience! Would absolutely recommend”

“Maura and Shawn were AWESOME to my pup, Boone. I received a picture of my buddy relaxing on the very first night of his stay and every subsequent day. It was so nice to see that he was enjoying his time. Thank you, Maura and Shawn for taking Boone on so many walks ( that is always the highlight of his day). We hope to see you again!”

“Grant and Ashley were awesome dog sitters! Our dog JJ got along so well with them and their doggie Finn. Grant sent us photos each day to show how well he was doing and took him on walks. They also have a great backyard for the dogs to run in. Grant and Ashley are definitely dog people, super friendly and trustworthy, highly recommend them, 5 stars 😊”

“Great about sending pictures and updates. Helped us relax on our vacation knowing our dog was well cared for. Also flexible and accommodating with pickup and drop-off. Thank you!”

“We couldn’t have asked for a better experience! Thank you so much for taking such great care of Max—your updates, kindness, and the way you made him feel at home meant the world to us. It was clear you truly connected with him and treated him like family. It gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. We’re so grateful and would absolutely love to book with you again. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a warm, reliable sitter!”

“Christopher was great! He kept me updating with tons of pictures of my dog Duke and my dog had a blast. I felt safe knowing that he was in good hands! Highly recommend 😊”

Many sitters in TX ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
