“Larissa with family took care of our dog so well and he was immediately relaxed there. Their friendly dog Cash and our Sancho had a great time together. We will definately ask them to take care of him again, when we need it.”

“Morgan was amazing with our sweet dog Harley. Harley is typically anxious and timid with new friends, but Morgan made her feel right at home and she was her happy, goofy and playful self immediately. It made our travels so much easier knowing that she was comfortable and enjoying herself while we were away. Morgan was great about sending lots of photos and updates throughout our trip so our family could see the puppy adventures she was getting into herself. Will absolutely book with Morgan over and over again. Thank you, Morgan!”
“Alyssa was amazing taking care of my dog. she showered her cleaned her bowls and updated me every chance she got. 100% recommend! she was very understanding when i picked up my dog a little late”

“Lexi really enjoyed being there and I have nothing but good things to say about these two. I appreciate them coming through for me and keeping lexi happy in my absence!”

“Our dog just stayed a week with Lucia while we were on vacation. Lucia kept us up to date with photo's, videos and texts. Everything went great and we would definitely use Lucia again in the future.”

“Julia is the best!!! I received daily pictures, and updates on his activities, and pet friends that he was making. I felt so at ease, and will definitely use her when I need someone to care for Duke❣️”

“Stephanie has taken care of our doodle baby a couple times now and she was absolutely put on this planet to love our babies for us while we are away. Not only does she love every animal she cares for, but her entire family does as well! We were gone for 10 days and Stephanie provided regular updates and so many photos! In every photo, my Daisy Duck was being cared for, loved, and fed exactly as I had hoped for and requested. My sweet girl developed a hotspot about 4 days before we had to leave her. Stephanie so kindly gave Daisy her medication every night. She also made sure that she wore her donut/cone at the correct times and gave her a few breaks from it while she was able to carefully watch and make sure no contact was made with the hotspot. It’s exactly what I would’ve done at home and that was so comforting! She also sent me progress photos so I could see how well it was healing. Stephanie is professional, responsive, and just all around top notch when it comes to pet sitters. And to top it all off, her backyard is like a dream vacation for any dog! You can stop your search because Stephanie is the best!”

“Rich is a super chill guy, and was able to provide exactly what our rescue dog needed, a peaceful and calm environment. In the three weeks that Rich had Bubbles, Bubbles became way more relaxed than he was before. Rich also dealt perfectly with some of Bubbles stubbornness and they became buddies. Next time I need a sitter, Rich will absolutely be my first option.”
“This was my first time being away from my pup for any length of time. I felt super comfortable leaving him here and got lots of updates and he seemed to have a great time. Overall great experience.”

“Rachel was so comfortable and nurturing with my pup. She knows a lot about dogs and knew what to do with my little guy. He was well cared for there and got lots of snuggles. I felt comfortable leaving him there in her hands. She was great to work with.”

“Leilani was awesome! She sent me plenty of updates and took care of my dog! She worked with me on my budget and was flexible when my flight was delayed by a few hours. Highly recommend!”

“I highly recommended Danielle because of her excellent service. She and her husband Jack are very friendly and trustworthy. They took care of my dog very careful while I was on vacation. Moreover, she updated the activities of my dog by sending pictures and videos every day. Definitely a five-star service!”

“Our dogs had the best time staying with Emma! We got so many photos and updates throughout the week, it was like they were having their own little doggy day camp. They can’t wait to stay again!”

“I always feel so comfortable leaving my dog with Marissa. I have a senior pup, and she is great about giving medication, texting me with updates, and providing the extra attention and care he needs.”
“Loved seeing my pups make themselves right at home during their stay. Also appreciated the flexibility around my last minute trip, and patience with my senior and quirky pugs. It was such a relief knowing they were in good hands while I was gone. Bonus, it's always a good sign when they take a long nap when we get back home.”

“Friendly, reliable, and communicative. They followed medication and feeding instructions, sent updates, and walked my pups. I felt confident in their care of my two dogs while I was out of the country.”

“Christopher is just amazing. Our dog did not want to leave his place. During Eva’s stay with him, he was replying to me right away, he was sending me Pictures and videos. My dog was super happy. Our flight was delayed and Christopher agreed to keep Eva for an extra night which was really nice. The communication was great. Thank you Christopher for you help.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Dripping Springs
Lacey is such an attentive and caring sitter! She provided frequent updates and photos throughout our dog's stay, and went above and beyond during a thunderstorm to try to comfort our very anxious pup. He clearly felt right at home with her and her dogs, and we hope he is able to stay with them again soon!

Emma and her family took wonderful care of our dog, Charlie! They treated Charlie like one of their own and gave her so much love and attention while we were away. We received lots of updates and photos. This gave us peace of mind that Charlie was happy, comfortable and well cared for. We came home to a happy healthy pup! We would absolutely trust Emma and her family with Charlie again!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in TX ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
