“Grace and Alan were absolutely amazing. We had an emergency trip and were so lucky to have found them. They accommodated us for a meet and greet so our pup could get acquainted with their adorable and very sweet dogs. They are all so warm and incredibly welcoming, after our initial meeting we immediately felt at ease leaving our pup in their care. They have a perfect backyard for dogs to play and get lots of exercise, they consistently sent updates and lots of pictures and videos so we had no worries the whole time we were away. It’s very clear how much they truly care about dogs, our pup was definitely well loved and pampered in their home 😊 They are the perfect pet parents and we would not hesitate to leave our pup in their care again!”

“my dogs have a bit of separation anxiety and are usually stressed after boarding, but they seem extremely happy and as though they had a great time! Patches was very responsive and flexible and sent daily photos and updates. would book again!”

Your babies will be treated just like mine! Just like family🩷! I currently am self employed and pick my own schedule. I usually work early am around 3 am to around 8 am. My evening shifts are around 3-4 hours long as well. My schedule is always available to be changed for your pet needs. All care instructions will be followed. “Laura is AMAZING! Her house is beautiful and she really loves the dogs. I was getting constant updates and video. They had a blast in her backyard. She even got a toy for my dogs as a special treat they could keep. I would trust her with any dog and will definitely book again!”
“Ashley and her family are the best! My baby is always so calm when I drop her off. That’s how I know she trusts Ashley as much as her mom and dad. We don’t like to use anyone else!”

“She has gone above and beyond for my cat’s entire stay. She was incredibly helpful with schedule changes, dealt with daily medication, and even went so far as to make my cat a sweater so she wouldn’t be cold. By far the best sitter I’ve ever experienced.”

Dolly was so well entertained and taken care of! She was quickly accepted into the pack by the others. Maribel was very communicative, sending photos and videos throughout the weekend! I think maybe Dolly wasn’t ready to go home 😂 Thank you Maribel, I will definitely book with you again!

Alma is simply amazing! She took care of our dog, Yogi, for about a month and a half, and throughout that time she treated him like part of her own family. She kept us updated with photos and messages, which gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. Every picture showed how happy, comfortable, and relaxed Yogi was. We are beyond thankful for everything she did and couldn't recommend her more highly. If you're looking for someone who will genuinely love and care for your furry family member, Alma is the one. Thank you, Alma, for taking such wonderful care of Yogi—we would love to have you watch him again in the future!

My girl has stayed with Nathan twice and has loved her visit each time! Nathan is great with her and their home is perfect for dogs. Nathan is wonderful about communicating and sends pictures throughout the stay. Your pets are in great care with Nathan so don’t hesitate booking with him!

Patricia, Jason and family were fantastic!!!! After many years of being a Rover sitter myself, this was my first time using Rover and I would definitely use Patricia and Jason again! They took such great care of Tabor, were so kind, and I could tell my dog was sad to leave. He passed out as soon as we got home! He was very well loved and I am so grateful!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in TX ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
