“This was Gunner’s second sleepover with Marcel and once again, he had an absolute blast! Marcel is incredibly communicative and thoughtful — he keeps me updated with plenty of photos and messages, which gives me total peace of mind. It’s clear he really cares. I’ll definitely be using him again down the road!”

“Marie went the extra mile to both understand Koko’s senior needs as well as alleviating my nerves by sending lots of updates. Koko was all tail wags while there and upon returning home. Thank you Marie and Chris!”

About: Hi! I’m Mirella, a Texas State University student and lifelong animal lover. I’ve owned and cared for pets for over 8 years and have experience caring for animals of all ages, sizes, and personalities. I’m currently the proud owner of a cat. I’ve pet-sat for friends with dogs of all sizes and personalities—from Anatolian Shepherds and Pit Bull mixes to Dachshunds and Maltese—and have experience caring for puppies through senior dogs. I’m also comfortable administering medications, following detailed care instructions, and making sure every pet feels safe, happy, and comfortable while you’re away. Years of caring for animals have taught me patience, responsibility, and confidence working with pets of all temperaments. I understand that every pet has unique needs, and I’m committed to providing personalized care that keeps them happy, healthy, and on their normal routine. In my free time, you’ll usually find me running, hiking, or spending the day at the river, so I’m always excited to get outside with energetic pups. Whether your pet enjoys long walks and adventures or prefers relaxing at home, I’m happy to match their pace. I understand how much trust it takes to leave your pet with someone, and I’ll care for them as if they were my own. My schedule is flexible, and I do my best to accommodate each pet parent’s needs. I keep my Rover calendar up to date and am happy to work with you to schedule walks and drop-in visits that fit your pet’s routine. Whether they need a quick potty break, playtime, or a long walk, I’m here to help! Your pet’s safety, comfort, and routine are my top priorities. I’ll always follow your care instructions closely, including feeding schedules, administering medications, exercise, and any special requests. I’m comfortable caring for pets of all sizes and temperaments and will always treat your home with the same respect I would my own. You can expect regular updates and photos so you can have peace of mind while you’re away.
“Sahara is very communicative and we know our pup is in good hands with her family. We have used them a few times now and will continue to let our pup stay with this family!”

“So happy I found Rover, but especially Grant and his wife Ginger! They were amazing at keeping me informed about Kona while I was away for vacation. I LOVED the picture and video updates everyday!!! They took her on a walk every morning and not just down their street. They actually took her to the park! I know Kona loved that, because one of her favorite things to do is go for a ride. Kona is 5 years old and has never been boarded or away from the entire family at once. If we need to board again, we will definitely ask Grant & Ginger! If you are worried about using Rover...don't be. It is user friendly and legit! THANK YOU again, Grant & Ginger!”

“Morgan is truly amazing! My dog was in heat and I was concerned that she might get pregnant but Morgan gave me her plan which sounded perfect, so I trusted her and don’t regret it at all. She sent me pictures and gave me updates, daily, and she answered all my questions right away. I highly recommend Morgan to anyone who wants someone who will love your pet like she does. In fact, I believe all her family loved my girl. Thank you, Morgan. ❤️”

“Michael took such great care of our Annie. Our Annie had some tummy issues during her stay with Michael. He went above and beyond sending pics, cleaning up tummy messes, vet visit, keeping us informed , extra day stay due to airline delays and checking on Annie post stay. I would highly recommend Michael!”

“Maggie has really become a part of their family. She was so excited when she realized we were at their home. She loves Pearl, they’re besties. We know Maggie is in good hands and we don’t have to worry about her. We also get a lot of very good pictures and updates.”

“Donna was wonderful! It was our first time leaving our pup with a sitter and I was a bit nervous, but she sent me updates and pictures each day and followed my instructions. When I returned to pick up our pup, he was happy and I could tell he had been well taken care of. I will be using Donna again in the future.”

“Our Great Danes had the best time with both Youna and Nick! They texted us pictures and kept us us very in the loop. Our pups are not the easiest to take care of and they did a great job. ☺️ we will for sure be using them more in the future!”

“Was able to book Patches after a last min cancelation of our normal sitter. She was quick to respond and sent updates / photos throughout the stay. My Pom was very comfortable with her.”

The best dog sitter ever!! Not only did he accept my baby with VERY short notice but he treated him as if he was his own! 💙 Took him on multiple walks everyday and would send me picture updates of my Blue. 🐶 It was my first time using this app so I was very nervous but Joesiiah made me feel very comfortable and stress free. Will definitely book again when I’m in town. Thank you !!’

Claudia was absolutely exceptional! She took such wonderful care of Ziggy, and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. She sent daily updates with photos and little check-ins, which gave us so much peace of mind without making us feel like we had to constantly check in while we were on vacation. What I loved most was how much she truly catered the experience to Ziggy. She took her on so many fun outings and adventures, and it was obvious from every photo that Ziggy was happy, comfortable, and loved like one of her own. Coming home to a happy, relaxed pup is the best feeling. I was beyond impressed with the care, attention, and genuine love Claudia showed Ziggy. We will absolutely be booking with her again, and honestly, I’m already looking forward to our next visit. I can’t recommend her highly enough!

Kate was absolutely amazing!! Such a pleasure working with her! She took such great care of my 6 yr old, Olde English Bulldogge , Stussy, while I was in Galveston for the week. From the very beginning, she was easy to communicate with and I felt completely comfortable leaving Stussy in her care. She sent frequent updates, photos, videos, and messages, and you could genuinely see how happy and well cared for Stussy was! He was glowing in every picture/video!! It gave me so much peace of mind knowing my dog was not only safe, but truly enjoying his time. Kate went above and beyond, and it’s clear she has the biggest heart and really cares about the animals she looks after! I’m so grateful to have found someone so reliable, kind, and sweet nearby! I’ll 100% be using her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring sitter!!

Katelynne did an amazing job taking care of my Remi! I had to leave out of town for a few days, and she kept me updated the whole time and sent lots of pictures, which gave me so much peace of mind. I would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for a caring and reliable dog sitter.

I’m so thankful for Mica she was able to step in last minute to watch my two dogs. She was incredibly kind, responsible, and made the whole process easy and stress-free. It’s clear she genuinely cares about the pets she watches, and I highly recommend her to anyone needing a reliable and loving dog sitter!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in TX ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
