Hi, I’m Kate! I actively foster rescue dogs through the San Marcos Regional Animal Shelter (SMRAS) and have previously fostered with BARC Animal Shelter in Houston. I have a special place in my heart for pitties and rescue dogs, but I love dogs of all breeds, ages, and personalities. Whether your dog wants to play fetch for hours, nap on the couch, follow me from room to room, or pretend they’ve never been fed a day in their life, I’m happy to adapt to their routine and needs. Fair warning: you may receive an unreasonable number of pet photos. P.S. 🤭 If your pet is a little outside the norm, feel free to ask! I’ve also cared for rabbits, horses, leopard geckos, and bearded dragons.

Kate was absolutely amazing and exceeded every expectation I had. From the moment we left, she stayed in constant communication with daily updates, pictures, and messages that gave me complete peace of mind while I was away. She took incredible care of both of my dogs, Laney and Lola. Laney is young and energetic, while Lola is a senior dog with different needs, and Kate was wonderful with both of them. It was obvious she has experience caring for dogs of all ages and personalities. Knowing they were both happy, safe, and well cared for allowed me to truly relax and enjoy my trip. She didn’t just take care of the dogs—she took care of my home as well. She brought in packages, checked the mail, took out the trash, and left the house cleaner and more organized than when she arrived. When we got home, she had even left a detailed handwritten summary of the entire stay, which was incredibly thoughtful and completely unexpected. What really stood out to me was that even after her scheduled paid time had ended, she came back one last time to check on Laney and Lola because we weren’t getting home until later that evening. She absolutely did not have to do that, but it shows the kind of person she is and how much she genuinely cared about the dogs. If you’re considering booking Kate, don’t hesitate. She is professional, kind, reliable, communicative, and truly goes above and beyond. This was one of the best experiences I’ve ever had with a pet sitter, and I fully intend to book her again. Hopefully she will be Laney and Lola’s sitter for many years to come.
Kate did an outstanding job taking care of our Chocolate Lab, Mia. Her updates, pictures and videos kept us reassured Mia was in great hands and staying active and having fun. Definitely recommend Kate and we will be using her again in the near future.
Kate was one of the most communities sitters i have! it was just for a day ( was working a 8am-8pm ) and she constantly took him to the park and was super attentive! Picked him up with a huge smile on his face!
Kate is great, second time we have used her and she is great with the dogs and is very great with sending checkin pics. Will use again if she is available forsure.
Kate was so amazing with the dogs during every visit she updated me on how they were and sent lots of pictures. Great communication and felt at ease leaving my fur babies in her care. Will forsure use in the future!!!

My days already revolve around animals. Between fostering rescue dogs and pet sitting, your pet won’t be squeezed into my schedule—they’ll be a part of it, too.

A typical day
A typical day depends on the pet! Some dogs want to play fetch for hours, some would rather go on a walk and sniff every blade of grass, and some are happiest curled up on the couch getting belly rubs. I always try to match their energy and routine. If your dog enjoys being active, I’m happy to go on walks, runs, hikes, swimming adventures, or other owner-approved activities. If they’re more of a couch potato, I’m just as happy hanging out with them and giving them plenty of attention. (And yes, there’s a good chance your pet will end up in a mini photo shoot at some point). 😂
