“Omg Ms. Olga is the absolute best!!!! My husky Ghost loved her and her family! She kept us updated several times a day. She sent plenty of pictures and let us know how Ghost was emotionally and physically. We will definitely use her as our regular dog sitter!! Definitely use her! She has a lot of land and a pup that plays and kids that love to entertain dogs. Ghost had a blast and warmed up soooo well with them. He looked right at home!!! If i could give 10 stars i would!!!”

“This was a first time that Martina took care of our elderly fur-gentleman and I was so pleased! Her description of her home and not having any other pets and keeping only one pet at a time was exactly as described (which wasn’t the case for another rover sitter we hired). She was kind, caring, very flexible, and patient despite some not totally anticipated medical issues while we were out of town. Highly recommend Martina!”

“A million stars. Brigitte and Wrigley ( her dog) are the sweetest they welcomed Cooper In and made him family while we were put of town. She sent lots of pictures and updates and was super accommodating to our busy schedule for pick up and drop off time. I know who will be pur first call when we need someone to watch Cooper again!!”

“Shannon was very accommodating with the hours I needed over the weekend. She sent pictures and updates throughout the weekend and Luna came back happy and relaxed!! So thankful for her, will be using her again next time I need to go out of town.”

“My dog is, as all dogs are, very special, especially to me. While I hate to leave him, I know he is in great hands with Autumn and I'd have no hesitation leaving him there again.”

“Lovely and her husband did a great job of taking care of my high energy pup! Lovely was always quick to respond and sent us photo updates. My pup got along great with the family’s dogs, too.”

“Britnee was amazing with our little schnauzer. She sent pictures frequently and daily, which left us feeling comfortable knowing he was in good hands. He even looks happy in the photos! We are very thankful for her! She was great with our pet.”

“Courtney wax great. I was visiting San Marcos from out of toen for s wedding. We talked prior to me traveling which gavd me some comfort to drop off my pups with someone we had not yet met in person. She was responsivd yo dmails and flexible for drop off anf pick up to accomodate out schedule. Pups looked well taken care of when i arrived to pick them up. Would recommend Courtney.”

“Agnes and her family are so sweet. My little Lily had a blast with Daisy. They played together everyday she was with them. I enjoyed the pictures and updates. I definitely recommend Agnes for your furbaby and will be using her again.”

“What an amazing experience! My fur babies are exactly that MY BABIES. It’s hard to find someone who treat your babies as if they were their own but Kristen did exactly that! So professional and had a great set up for the pups! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.”

“This is our third time using Evgeniya and can’t imagine using anyone else. She loves our Winston and sends us pictures and keeps us up to date on when he eats and takes his medicine. We love her and so does Winston. She’s the very best!!!”

“Absolute Best Rover experience. Cassie and her family were a perfect fit for our baby mini golden doodle and 11 yr old pitbull! Looking forward to many more sleepovers. 🙏🏽🙂”

“Our energetic lab had a wonderful time! Lauren was excellent and accommodating, sent many pictures and videos, and was communicative. We enjoyed our time away knowing our pup was in great hands!”
“It was great to know that Murray was in attentive and affectionate hands with Debora and Jorge while we were away. I also appreciated the easy coordination.”

“Karynne was absolutely amazing! We booked her last minute for our cat, Ramen, and she went above and beyond to make sure we felt confident he’d be well cared for. From the moment we met her, she was so genuine and accommodating. She sent us great photos and updates, and it was clear Ramen was happy and comfortable—honestly, he didn’t even want to leave when we picked him up! Her communication was excellent, and it’s such a relief knowing that when we need to travel again, we have someone Ramen truly loves. We are so grateful for her and highly recommend her to anyone needing a caring and attentive sitter.”

“Nicole is a delightful young lady. Our pugs spent a short week with her and they came home happy and healthy. Our female is older with both sight and hearing issues. Our male is a rambunctious, energetic, and single-minded on his next meal. She said they were both great visitors. Very nice to have a reliable pet sitter who cares for your fur babies. Highly recommend Nicole and we will be using her services again in the future. Paul & Ellen”

“Amber took very good care of our dog Prince during an overnight stay in her home. She kept us updated on how he was doing through texts and pics. She is very prompt when responding to messages which I really appreciate. Prince was kept entertained and active playing with her puppy, so much so that once he got home he knocked out. Amber and her family were super friendly. I will definitely rebook with Amber in the future.”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in TX ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
