“I will definitely use Allison again. My dog has really bad anxiety but immediately in the meet and greet I could tell she was comfortable. Allison was extremely friendly during all communications, she was willing to work with me on pick up and drop off arrangements. She continuously updated me on how Hazel was doing and sent pictures every day. It was an excellent experience for my dog and me. Will definitely use Allison again!!!”

“Megan is outstanding. She expertly communicated and included daily pictures of my dog having fun with her dogs. I felt very comfortable knowing that my dog was in such good hands. Highly Recommend!”

“My girls were very comfortable during our meet and greet. Britnee did an excellent job with them, daily walks, meal times, great communication during the stay and lots of Love given to each girl. I will definitely will use her again!!”

“This was our first Rover experience and we found a wonderful sitter in Ashley! Our dog has separation anxiety and we were worried that being in a completely foreign environment would wig her out, but she settled in nicely with their dog and human pack. I appreciated that they tended to her needs: daily walks, being cool with letting her on the furniture, and allowing her to sleep in their bedrooms since she likes to be near humans all the time. I received prompt replies when I checked in and messages with photos each day. Thanks to Ashley’s kids too, I love that Ashley and her family are all in it together, this is a household that truly loves dogs!”

“Teryca was great! This was my first experience with Rover and she made it great. She took care of Petey like he was her own. I received regular feedback and pictures during the time Petey was in her care. Thank you so much Teryca!”

About: I've been working with animals for the past 5 Years! I started as a dog daycare attendant for a year where I learned how to read dog body language and behavior as well as how to handle emergency situations with dogs. I then became a full time pet sitter on my own and would watch all kinds of animals from household reptiles, small animals, cat, and of course dogs! After 1 year of this I switched to part time sitter to become a full time dog trainer! I trained for a year before becoming a manager at a pet hotel. I love my job to this day and still care for dogs and cats at my current job! I'm currently a stay at home mom for my babies so I am always home a ready to provide care! I usually (as weather permits of course) take a morning walk between 8-10am with my dog and my boarding friends, hang out around the house and backyard until our evening walk before bed around 8-10pm after the sun is down! I am constantly boarding dogs in my home so I do have extra crates if needed otherwise I only have 1 dog of my own who is a St. Bernard and is pretty lazy so he will be there to keep my boarding dogs company but also knows to nap if the other dogs need a break from playing. When I go to clients homes I always find a way to occupy my time with my clients and keep my attention on those animals!

“Patti was very professional and committed to make me feel calm and relaxed by leaving Bibi with her. She sent me pictures and reports during their care. I absolutely will book with her with no doubt if I needed to. Thank you Patti”

“Awesome!! Excellent family atmosphere. Paris enjoyed the love as evident from the pictures sent. She also liked the fenced in back yard and doggie play mates. Tia thank you so much for taking such good care of my baby.”

“Annie is a total gem and my little man was well taken care of. Annie provided constant updates, and her communication was amazing. I would totally recommend if you are looking for a home away from home for your fur baby! She will definitely be a permanent for us”

“Anna took care of our two darlings when we were on vacation, and she did a good job! She updated us by sending pictures and messaging us the happenings with our dogs. I'm so grateful that her backyard allowed our dogs to run and made them active. Thank you, Anna!”

“Michael and Alice are great. Wally had a great time. They are very knowledgeable. Wally adapted real fast even though it was his first time out of the house. 5 stars!!!”

“Aryn is amazing. My family and I had to leave on a short-notice trip, and she was very flexible scheduling a meet-and-greet as well as pick-up and drop-off. She was detail oriented, kind, and loving to our pup. Our dog is a mini-golden doodle and she’s spoiled, so she tends to be needy and requires a lot of attention. Aryn sent pictures, provided updates, and asked questions when she had them. She was excellent at messaging to give updates on Peanut so I didn’t have to worry about how she was doing. When I picked her up, Peanut wasn’t stressed and looked exactly as she did when I dropped her off. This experience has been the gold standard for what I expect from a boarder and I can’t thank her enough for loving our pup while we had to travel!”

About: Animals have been a big part of my life for over 20 years. I currently have two dogs that I raised from puppies, so I understand the patience, consistency, and attention that great pet care requires. I treat every pet like family and always aim to make them feel safe, comfortable, and loved. Policies: $15 late fee on drop offs and pickups over 30 minutes past the agreed upon time (unless previously discussed) Please reach out if you need to change the schedule. Thank you! I currently work as a freelance software developer, so I have a flexible schedule with open availability for pet care. This gives me the ability to provide reliable, consistent care and be available for walks, drop-ins, and other pet care needs throughout the week. During walks and drop-ins, I prioritize safety by using secure leashing practices, monitoring the environment, and making sure pets have fresh water and plenty of attention. I also provide regular updates with photos so owners know their pets are being well cared for. My goal is to make each visit stress-free and enjoyable while treating every pet like my own.
“Jan was great! Highly recommended! Jan took such great care of my Siberian Husky! I am so thank I met her and now will have someone I can count on and not worry about my furbaby! Thank you Jan! Blessings”

“Our two GSP’s enjoy going to Tambre’s and she takes great care of them. She is attentive to the high heat temps and has plenty of shade and water set up for all the dogs that stay with her. Our dogs come back happy and in good health. Thankful for Tambre and highly recommend her!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Selma
This was our first time boarding our two dogs, who are 8 and 9 years old, so I was very nervous. From the moment I met Steve and Randy, I felt relieved knowing they were in good hands. They have taken wonderful care of our dogs and sent us lots of pictures and updates, which gave us so much peace of mind. We couldn’t be happier with their care. They are wonderful sitters—highly recommend! Five stars! 👍🐶❤️

Candy was wonderful with Boo Bear and Suzie Bear. Both of our dogs are seniors and have medications and special care needs, and she handled everything with patience and attention. She kept us updated while we were away, which gave us a lot of peace of mind, and it was so nice to see how comfortable and happy the doggies were with her. We truly appreciate the care she gave them and would absolutely trust her to watch them again.

Sheila treated my dogs exactly like her own children. The level of personalized care and love was extraordinary. She went above and beyond to ensure their comfort. I received frequent, detailed updates and photos. I will be using her again and I highly recommend booking with her.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in TX ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
