“Amazing experience! Michael was fantastic with my dog, Niko! He was very attentive and made sure Niko had his daily walks and two meals a day. Michael spent time playing with him and kept me updated 2–3 times a day with texts and videos, which really put my mind at ease. Niko looked happy and well cared for the whole time. I’ll definitely be bringing Niko back to Michael again—highly recommend!”

“I'd give more than 5 stars if I could!! Tammy was great! We are truly blessed to have met her and to have had her watch our fur babies. We were able to enjoy our time with our family without any worries. She kept us informed of all the fun they were having with pictures and videos. One less worry for us to think about the next time we have to go out of town. Thank you Tammy for all you did for us!”

“Megan watched our mini schnauzer for a week and I know Lulu had a great time and was well cared for - Megan sent frequent updates and pictures. It made our trip more enjoyable knowing Lulu was also having fun.”

“What a sweet and wonderful family! They really made us feel like we could enjoy our trip without having to worry about our fur babies. You can tell they are doing this because they truly love animals. Would definitely book with them again.”

“Mechea was fantastic!! After having a rough experience with our last Rover sitter, Mechea was a breath of fresh air! She was very communicative, sent pictures and videos of Autumn during Autumn’s stay & even went out of her way to meet up with us at a dog park to introduce Autumn to her and her dog Rusty before her stay. Rusty is a very sweet pup - playful & kind with both people & other dogs. We will 100% be booking with Mechea again!!”

“Sarah and family were fabulous. We hold tell from the pictures our Penny had the vacation of her life. She absolutely loved every minute playing and enjoying her stay.”

“Pamela took great care of my dogs and was very communicative throughout the stay, sending daily pictures and updates. She gave extra attention to my dog who is usually nervous on walks, which I really appreciated. I would definitely book with her again!”

“Britnee was amazing with our little schnauzer. She sent pictures frequently and daily, which left us feeling comfortable knowing he was in good hands. He even looks happy in the photos! We are very thankful for her! She was great with our pet.”

About: I've been working with animals for the past 5 Years! I started as a dog daycare attendant for a year where I learned how to read dog body language and behavior as well as how to handle emergency situations with dogs. I then became a full time pet sitter on my own and would watch all kinds of animals from household reptiles, small animals, cat, and of course dogs! After 1 year of this I switched to part time sitter to become a full time dog trainer! I trained for a year before becoming a manager at a pet hotel. I love my job to this day and still care for dogs and cats at my current job! I'm currently a stay at home mom for my babies so I am always home a ready to provide care! I usually (as weather permits of course) take a morning walk between 8-10am with my dog and my boarding friends, hang out around the house and backyard until our evening walk before bed around 8-10pm after the sun is down! I am constantly boarding dogs in my home so I do have extra crates if needed otherwise I only have 1 dog of my own who is a St. Bernard and is pretty lazy so he will be there to keep my boarding dogs company but also knows to nap if the other dogs need a break from playing. When I go to clients homes I always find a way to occupy my time with my clients and keep my attention on those animals!
“Morgan took great care of of my fur baby for two weeks. She kept me updated, sent pics/videos, and communicated efficiently. I would recommend her services to anyone and I would definitely book with her again.”

“Esther was amazing! She allowed me and my husband to have a meet and greet with her and her dogs beforehand so we felt comfortable, she asked all the right questions about routines, she clearly told me her expectations and was very communicative. On the day of the visit, she sent so many pictures and kept me updated. I was worried Charlee wouldn’t eat much but she did! (And had normal bowels, which I was also worried about!) Glad we now have a safe second home for our pup when we have to leave her! Highly recommend.”

“Jan was great! Highly recommended! Jan took such great care of my Siberian Husky! I am so thank I met her and now will have someone I can count on and not worry about my furbaby! Thank you Jan! Blessings”

“This was our first Rover experience and we found a wonderful sitter in Ashley! Our dog has separation anxiety and we were worried that being in a completely foreign environment would wig her out, but she settled in nicely with their dog and human pack. I appreciated that they tended to her needs: daily walks, being cool with letting her on the furniture, and allowing her to sleep in their bedrooms since she likes to be near humans all the time. I received prompt replies when I checked in and messages with photos each day. Thanks to Ashley’s kids too, I love that Ashley and her family are all in it together, this is a household that truly loves dogs!”

“As my sweet, tiny pup gets older - it been harder finding a good home to leave her in when I have to be out of town. Aryn and her family were a wonderful find! They loved on Penny like she was their own and she also became friends her dog. Her daily pictures allowed me to enjoy my own trip knowing she was well taken care of. We will definitely use Aryn again for future trips!”

“Allison and her husband have a great and welcoming space that appeared great for our girl. They were also both very friendly and warm upon meeting us. I very much appreciated all the communication efforts being responded-to timely and the photos during her stay. We will definitely use Allison again!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Universal City
We had such a great experience! Our dogs were clearly very well cared for and loved while we were away, and we felt completely comfortable knowing they were in good hands. Communication was great, and we really appreciated the updates and attention to their individual needs. It’s not easy leaving our dogs, but this experience gave us so much peace of mind. We would absolutely recommend them and will definitely be booking again! ❤️🐾

Lasaiah was very good with Chewy. He immediately took to her and he usually takes his time figuring people out. Communication was good and she updated us on how he was doing during his stay. When I returned to pick Chewy up, he was very happy and energetic. I could tell he had a great time.

This was our first time boarding our two dogs, who are 8 and 9 years old, so I was very nervous. From the moment I met Steve and Randy, I felt relieved knowing they were in good hands. They have taken wonderful care of our dogs and sent us lots of pictures and updates, which gave us so much peace of mind. We couldn’t be happier with their care. They are wonderful sitters—highly recommend! Five stars! 👍🐶❤️

Candy was wonderful with Boo Bear and Suzie Bear. Both of our dogs are seniors and have medications and special care needs, and she handled everything with patience and attention. She kept us updated while we were away, which gave us a lot of peace of mind, and it was so nice to see how comfortable and happy the doggies were with her. We truly appreciate the care she gave them and would absolutely trust her to watch them again.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in TX ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
