“Micheal and Alice were amazing! They took such great care of our pup. They went above and beyond to communicate, learn our dog’s behaviors, and were so loving to him! Connor got along so well with their dogs. They spent lots of time playing and cuddling. I HIGHLY recommend Michael and Alice and will continue to trust them with Connor!”

“This was my first experience boarding my dog Tuna or leaving her in anyone else's care. Stephanie went above and beyond for Tuna. Stephanie sent pictures, replied promptly, and made sure everyone was at ease. Stephanie was quick to respond, professional, kind, and her services were very affordable. I boarded Tuna for about 6 days. If I ever need to board her again, I will be coming to her! 10/10 reccomend”

From the moment we met her, she was so genuine and accommodating. She sent us great photos and updates, and it was clear Ramen was happy and comfortable—honestly, he didn’t even want to leave when we picked him up! Her communication was excellent, and it’s such a relief knowing that when we need to travel again, we have someone Ramen truly loves. About: I've been a lifelong dog owner and have cared for dogs most of my life. I've frequently dog-sat for friends and family over the years, including feeding, walking, administering medications when needed and providing lots of attention and playtime. I work from home full-time, so your dog will receive plenty of supervision, attention, and companionship throughout the day. My partner is retired and also home most of the time, so there is almost always someone here with the pets. Because of this, dogs are rarely left alone and get lots of care, playtime, and comfort during their stay. Dogs under 40 lbs. please. We provide a calm, safe, and welcoming environment and follow each dog’s normal routine for feeding, potty breaks, walks, and playtime. Our home has a fenced backyard where dogs can safely enjoy time outside. We also have a friendly 5-year-old dog who is low-energy and well socialized. She enjoys the company of other dogs but is also respectful of dogs who prefer their own space. Your pet’s safety and comfort are very important to us. We introduce dogs slowly, supervise interactions, and treat every dog in our home like part of the family. We are also happy to send photo updates so you can see how your pet is doing while you’re away.
“Grey and his partner were wonderful. My dog was well cared for and loved, and I already booked her next visit with them. My dog doesn't need special accommodations, but they were prepared for extra time, yard time (she loved that), sleep on furniture, etc. They also communicated well for meet/greet, drop off, pick up, and the times they were in the house - with pictures. My pup is heading back for my next out of town trip, because she liked staying there.”

“We used 3 different pet hotels in the past but would like to give Rover a try. I like this setting a lot better. Patti is a wonderful pet sitter and really cares about my dog. Her home is clean and tidy. My dog came home happy with a doggy bag & detailed report card. Throughout his stay, Patti sent me photos of my dog at her house and neighborhood. The best part is that she take care of my dog only (one client at a time) so my dog has less chance of contacting any sickness from another dog in a group setting.”

“Sydney took such great care of my two small dogs and my lab. They are a handful as they all have different personalities and she did awesome. She welcomed in to her home and gave them a big yard to play in and let them hang out with her and her family. I would definitely recommend Sydney to care for your pets. Great temperament with dogs!”

“Jackie and Jorge have watched our babies a few times and each experience has been so pleasant. Jackie is in constant communication with me offering updates and photos to check-in, which is very important to me. I can tell my babies love their stay as they get excited each time we drop them off. They have even accepted our short notice request which we appreciate. I highly recommend them for all of your pets needs.”
“Adriana is a lifesaver! She got us in last minute when we needed to be out of town to pick up our car. She was quick to respond, honest, kept us up to date with pics and messages. Highly recommend her and will be booking with her again!”

“Our Jupiter had the best time with Lorena. She was SO wonderful and showed him so much love and gave him all the attention. He went for lots of walkies and got lots of snuggles. He’s a senior pup and she made me feel confident knowing all his special instructions were followed. She’s a gem, and sent so many pictures which made me very happy to see!! 10/10, thank you Lorena and your family for taking such good care of Jupiter ❤️”

“Thank you so much to Olivia and her husband. They took great care of our corgi. He came back healthy and happy. I enjoyed all the pictures she sent while we were away.”

“We had an absolutely wonderful experience and could not be happier with the care our dog received! From the very beginning, Emma welcomed our girl with open arms and treated her like family. It was clear how much love and attention she gives to the pets in her care. She kept us updated with pictures and videos throughout the stay, which gave us so much peace of mind and allowed us to see how happy and comfortable our dog was. What stood out even more was how knowledgeable she is — she took the time to explain her background and experience, which made us feel even more confident leaving our baby with her. When we picked our dog up, she looked completely comfortable, relaxed, and right at home, which says everything. We are beyond grateful for the amazing care and would absolutely book with her again without hesitation. Highly recommend!”

“Our dog had a wonderful time with Marti! It was his first time ever being away from us, but Marti was patient and in the end, the experience was great for everyone. Thank you so much for taking care of our Kernie!”

“Divya was absolutely amazing with my dog, Brodie. She kept me updated the entire time with detailed messages, pictures, and videos, which gave me so much peace of mind while I was away. She reassured me before my flight not to worry and truly paid close attention to him, updating me on his behavior and how he was settling in. What stood out most was how intuitive and patient she was. She understood his personality right away, gave him space when needed, and handled everything calmly and confidently. It’s clear she genuinely cares about the pets she watches, and I felt completely comfortable having Brodie in her care. I would absolutely book with her again without hesitation. Highly recommend! 🐾”

Mollie took great care of my nervous dog. He stayed with her over the 4th of July and made sure he was not scared during the fireworks. She also went to the store to get him more broccoli (his favorite snack). My dog was able to sleep in bed with her and she sent me videos of him playing with her dog Chance! I was very thankful to see how comfortable my dog was when he stayed with Mollie and Chance and I would absolutely use her services again in the future.

Danielle was a complete life-saver! My usual sitter had an emergency and had to cancel the night before my trip. Danielle took my dog in for the weekend with less than a days notice. She was very communicative, kind, and patient with my anxious gal. She sent many photos and updates without me having to ask! I always get so nervous to leave my dog with someone she has never met but Danielle was so easy to work with and so trust-worthy. I highly recommend!!

Our dogs had a wonderful time with Laurie. This was the first time she watched all three of them. She took them on walks, kept them safe and entertained so they came back happy and exhausted. She has a great set up with a fenced in backyard. She has a schedule that really fits. Their needs is very active her soul so that helps with the active dogs and a really great mom that can lend a hand when needed. We are already scheduled with her again!

Lauren and Matt saved my sons wedding! We needed a sitter last minute and Lauren facilitated a meet n greet for us and boarded our pupper within a few days. They treated our girl like she was one of their own and gave her so much love and attention. Shes an anxious pup but they put her at ease and gave her lots of love and attention which really helped. Lauren and Matt were so kind, understanding, and flexible to us and the situation, we cant thank them enough! They were the reason I had the ability to fly out to my sons wedding and was able to attend. Thank you!!

Alyssa was an absolute gem of a pet sitter! Her location on base at Fort Sam Houston made pickup and drop off incredibly convenient. From the start, she was very responsive and communicative, quickly easing any nerves. She provided frequent updates, complete with adorable photos and videos of my kitten, which gave me peace of mind while I was away. It was clear that Alyssa genuinely cares for animals. My kitty seemed happy, safe, and very well loved during her stay. Everyone in the household was respectful, courteous, and seemed to enjoy having my kitten as much as he enjoyed being there. I highly recommend Alyssa to anyone looking for reliable, loving pet care.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in TX ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
