“Alana was super sweet and took great care of our Riley Roo!! She communicated with us in the morning and evening with cute pics of our pup and was very accommodating to our wishes. It’s clear she’s a dog lover through and through. Highly recommend her :)”

“First time using Rover, we booked with Genesis. She was very accommodating with our Lab, Murphy who is insulin dependent. She sent pictures and kept us updated. Murphy is one happy customer!”

“We are so fortunate to have found Celeste on Rover. She was extremely accommodating after the sitter we previously booked had to cancel. She provided regular updates of our fur babies and when we picked them up the were both very happy and looked well cared for. I cannot recommend her enough!!”

“We left our Boston Terrier, Toby with Jackie & Jorge for 9 days and they took great care of him! Jackie sent us several pictures of him daily and she kept us posted on how he was doing. We will definitely be leaving Toby with them in the future.”

“I looked at 20 or 30 profiles on here then I came across Stephanie whose profile states she has experience with MWD puppy program puppies and that’s why I chose to leave Ammo with her when I took a short work trip. She took such great care of Ammo and she always replied quick to my messages. I would gladly leave Ammo in her car again and as a matter of fact he will be back with her for two weeks in September. Thank you!!!!”

“Dawn was great. I’ve left my two boys with her twice now and they’ve come home exhausted and happy. They get excited when we pull into the driveway and I have a peace of mind knowing they are well cared for. She is very accommodating and flexible.”

“Danielle did a super job taking care of our dog on short notice, She kept us informed during our trip with updates and pictures and was so accommodating. A great stay! Thank you Danielle.”

“Sarah has watched our Yorkipoo 3 times now and has been so wonderful with her! She's very involved in her care, sending me pictures and observations about her behavior the entire time. She is so kind and you can tell she really cares about every dog she watches in her home. She's our go-to sitter!”

About: I can't remember a time I didn't have a pet, since childhood. My childhood dog's name was Wallstreet and our cat was Clara. My dog Leia is my first dog as an independent adult. I've had her for 10 years. I started a cleaning business since 2019 and my clientele grew from word of mouth from people I would house sit and pet sit for since 2016. During that time I also cared for a woman with dementia for two years, checking on her twice a day, cleaning, going on outings, and giving meds. I still have my cleaning business and am looking for a new side hustle to supplement my income. I love animals and people and have a lot of free time, so this just made sense! I hope I can help spoil and love on your pets while you can't. I have a completely open and flexible schedule. The only things I do on a regular basis are some zoom calls at 7 pm early in the week and a couple outings/errands a week for an hour or two. In my home, dogs would be walked around the beautiful hills and scenery in my neighborhood. I don't have a fenced in yard. Cats and dogs would have full reign of the apartment. Animals are allowed on furniture. Actually, I am lucky they share the couch with me.
“Amazing experience! Michael was fantastic with my dog, Niko! He was very attentive and made sure Niko had his daily walks and two meals a day. Michael spent time playing with him and kept me updated 2–3 times a day with texts and videos, which really put my mind at ease. Niko looked happy and well cared for the whole time. I’ll definitely be bringing Niko back to Michael again—highly recommend!”

“We chose Kara due to her high ratings and her previous work as a vet tech. It brought us major peace of mind knowing that our sick dog was with someone who knew how to handle veterinary concerns. We loved the cute pics of the pups on walks and playing with her dogs. Stellar experience and we would definitely rebook with her in the future!”

“Kristen was great with our Kingston! She made sure to keep us updated with photos of him having an awesome time with her daughter and pets, who kept Kingston nice and busy with so much fun! Kingston was exhausted when we picked him up from all the fun but she still managed to bathe him because he smelled so nice. Thank you so much and we’d leave our fur baby with you anytime!”

“Esther was amazing! She allowed me and my husband to have a meet and greet with her and her dogs beforehand so we felt comfortable, she asked all the right questions about routines, she clearly told me her expectations and was very communicative. On the day of the visit, she sent so many pictures and kept me updated. I was worried Charlee wouldn’t eat much but she did! (And had normal bowels, which I was also worried about!) Glad we now have a safe second home for our pup when we have to leave her! Highly recommend.”

“Karynne is a great sitter! My dog likes a car ride and Karynne took him to places on her car. She sent me updates and photos everyday. I appreciate that she took care of my dog very well!”

“Grey and his partner were wonderful. My dog was well cared for and loved, and I already booked her next visit with them. My dog doesn't need special accommodations, but they were prepared for extra time, yard time (she loved that), sleep on furniture, etc. They also communicated well for meet/greet, drop off, pick up, and the times they were in the house - with pictures. My pup is heading back for my next out of town trip, because she liked staying there.”

“We love Tamara and her home! She is set up and prepared to host about any pup and she can figure out quickly a dynamic and what everyone needs, which I appreciate because my male Frenchie can be a handful. He was a return guest, but it was the first time for my old lady pup and she did way better than expected. All around excellent experience, as usual!”
“Our Jupiter had the best time with Lorena. She was SO wonderful and showed him so much love and gave him all the attention. He went for lots of walkies and got lots of snuggles. He’s a senior pup and she made me feel confident knowing all his special instructions were followed. She’s a gem, and sent so many pictures which made me very happy to see!! 10/10, thank you Lorena and your family for taking such good care of Jupiter ❤️”

“I needed care for Cosmo for a long weekend, and it was really important to me to find someone who was not only comfortable with dogs, but genuinely loved and cared for them. After reading LaTwana’s story and learning that she previously had a dog similar to Cosmo, I immediately felt more at ease. From the beginning, LaTwana was extremely communicative, sweet, and attentive. She sent me pictures and videos throughout the day, which gave me so much peace of mind while I was away. I could tell Cosmo felt warm, comfortable, and completely at home with her, and that meant everything to me! I’m so grateful I found LaTwana and would HIGHLY recommend her to anyone looking for someone they can truly trust with their dog. If you want peace of mind, great communication, and lots of cute photo and video updates, she’s your person! I’ll absolutely be booking with her again. ❤️🐾”

Dulce took very good care of our senior doggies. Our sitter had to cancel last minute and we are glad that we found Dulce and she agreed to take care of our doggies. She was quick to respond and sent us frequent updates. When we picked up our doggies they seemed happy and healthy. Thank you Dulce, for caring for our doggies when we were away! We will reach out again in the future when we travel.

Mollie is the pet sitter extraordinaire. Our dog was a little nervous going to a new home so Mollie suggested a drop off routine that reduced our dogs anxiety. Ingenious! Mollie focuses her time and attention on ensuring our dog’s needs were met and making sure she was comfortable physically and emotionally. She’s simply the BEST! She sends pictures and videos of daily activities, sniffy walks, and play time. You simply couldn’t ask for a better sitter than Mollie. We will definitely be rebooking again for our next vacation.

Ciria was AMAZING. My only issue is that she doesn’t live where I live! Came here for a TDY and decided to board my dog last minute. She truly went above and beyond. She accommodated so much for us, was VERY attentive, and sent so many updates. I don’t leave reviews often, but I had to. Thank you for loving on Poppy!!

Danielle was a complete life-saver! My usual sitter had an emergency and had to cancel the night before my trip. Danielle took my dog in for the weekend with less than a days notice. She was very communicative, kind, and patient with my anxious gal. She sent many photos and updates without me having to ask! I always get so nervous to leave my dog with someone she has never met but Danielle was so easy to work with and so trust-worthy. I highly recommend!!

Our dogs had a wonderful time with Laurie. This was the first time she watched all three of them. She took them on walks, kept them safe and entertained so they came back happy and exhausted. She has a great set up with a fenced in backyard. She has a schedule that really fits. Their needs is very active her soul so that helps with the active dogs and a really great mom that can lend a hand when needed. We are already scheduled with her again!

Lauren and Matt saved my sons wedding! We needed a sitter last minute and Lauren facilitated a meet n greet for us and boarded our pupper within a few days. They treated our girl like she was one of their own and gave her so much love and attention. Shes an anxious pup but they put her at ease and gave her lots of love and attention which really helped. Lauren and Matt were so kind, understanding, and flexible to us and the situation, we cant thank them enough! They were the reason I had the ability to fly out to my sons wedding and was able to attend. Thank you!!

Alyssa was an absolute gem of a pet sitter! Her location on base at Fort Sam Houston made pickup and drop off incredibly convenient. From the start, she was very responsive and communicative, quickly easing any nerves. She provided frequent updates, complete with adorable photos and videos of my kitten, which gave me peace of mind while I was away. It was clear that Alyssa genuinely cares for animals. My kitty seemed happy, safe, and very well loved during her stay. Everyone in the household was respectful, courteous, and seemed to enjoy having my kitten as much as he enjoyed being there. I highly recommend Alyssa to anyone looking for reliable, loving pet care.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in TX ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
