“I had to extend by a day because of travel delays and Courtney was super understanding and sweet about the whole thing, sent me updates every day and also sent a few goodies for Tom (my cat) when I came to pick him up!”

“My girls were very comfortable during our meet and greet. Britnee did an excellent job with them, daily walks, meal times, great communication during the stay and lots of Love given to each girl. I will definitely will use her again!!”

“Jackie takes care of our dog with such care. She has helped us 3 times now. We appreciate the pictures and updates while we are traveling. We will continue to have Jackie and family help us when we go out of town. Having someone you can trust goes a long way! Thank you Jackie and family!”

“Wonderful experience with a seasoned sitter. Mollie was introduced to me by Rover and lives nearby. It was great to work with her and she had a great demeanor with my dog. They had fun and I looked forward to daily updates and photos. I felt my dog was in great hands and she seemed at ease with Mollie and staying in her home.”

“Alana is so kind and did a great job caring for our pup over the Christmas week. He came home happy, smelling great, with the cutest bandana and a little Christmas gift. Totally spoiled him! He came home tired from playing with her pups, too. Definitely recommend Alana!”

About: I've been a lifelong dog owner and have cared for dogs most of my life. I've frequently dog-sat for friends and family over the years, including feeding, walking, administering medications when needed and providing lots of attention and playtime. I work from home full-time, so your dog will receive plenty of supervision, attention, and companionship throughout the day. My partner is retired and also home most of the time, so there is almost always someone here with the pets. Because of this, dogs are rarely left alone and get lots of care, playtime, and comfort during their stay. Dogs under 40 lbs. please. We provide a calm, safe, and welcoming environment and follow each dog’s normal routine for feeding, potty breaks, walks, and playtime. Our home has a fenced backyard where dogs can safely enjoy time outside. We also have a friendly 5-year-old dog who is low-energy and well socialized. She enjoys the company of other dogs but is also respectful of dogs who prefer their own space. Your pet’s safety and comfort are very important to us. We introduce dogs slowly, supervise interactions, and treat every dog in our home like part of the family. We are also happy to send photo updates so you can see how your pet is doing while you’re away.
“To say your pup will be in good hands with Alisa & Abel is a big understatement. They are the best dog sitters we’ve had the pleasure of doing business with. They’ve thought of all the creature comforts for canine-kind. 😊 From the curated texts that read like miniature newsletters to excellent photo album worthy 📸 shots of our pup….at pickup our doggie didn’t want her camp 🏕️ with Alisa & Abel to end. You won’t regret dropping off your little 🐾 one at A&A’s…they’re the best.”

“Aaron was a very attentive dog sitter to our Charlie ,kept us with updates made us feel secure that our dog was in a safe place while on Vacation.I would definitely use his services again”

“Ashley is the best, and our go-to for taking care of our two labradoodle’s. She sends constant updates and pictures, where our dogs look happier to be with her than with us!”
“Grey and his partner were wonderful. My dog was well cared for and loved, and I already booked her next visit with them. My dog doesn't need special accommodations, but they were prepared for extra time, yard time (she loved that), sleep on furniture, etc. They also communicated well for meet/greet, drop off, pick up, and the times they were in the house - with pictures. My pup is heading back for my next out of town trip, because she liked staying there.”

About: I can't remember a time I didn't have a pet, since childhood. My childhood dog's name was Wallstreet and our cat was Clara. My dog Leia is my first dog as an independent adult. I've had her for 10 years. I started a cleaning business since 2019 and my clientele grew from word of mouth from people I would house sit and pet sit for since 2016. During that time I also cared for a woman with dementia for two years, checking on her twice a day, cleaning, going on outings, and giving meds. I still have my cleaning business and am looking for a new side hustle to supplement my income. I love animals and people and have a lot of free time, so this just made sense! I hope I can help spoil and love on your pets while you can't. I have a completely open and flexible schedule. The only things I do on a regular basis are some zoom calls at 7 pm early in the week and a couple outings/errands a week for an hour or two. In my home, dogs would be walked around the beautiful hills and scenery in my neighborhood. I don't have a fenced in yard. Cats and dogs would have full reign of the apartment. Animals are allowed on furniture. Actually, I am lucky they share the couch with me.
“Maria took such great care of our Rat Terrier, Cristal. She sent the cutest pictures. And when it was time to take Cristal home she kept looking back to look for Maria. You can tell they had a great together! I would definitely recommend her as a sitter!”

About: Dogs have been my pride and joy for as long as I can remember. Over my lifetime, I’ve had the privilege of raising and loving three dogs of my own, including my sweet companion of 13 years who recently passed. While I’m taking a break from owning a pet right now, my heart is as open as ever, and I would love nothing more than to treat your pup like family! Whether you have an energetic puppy who needs extra play and patience, or a sweet adult dog who just wants cozy belly rubs and consistent walks, I’m here to give them unconditional love, attention, and structured care while you’re away. You can count on frequent photo updates and complete peace of mind! Working full-time from home gives me maximum flexibility and a completely open schedule to care for your pup! Because I’m home all day, your dog won't be left alone for long stretches. Constant Companionship: Regular cuddle breaks, active play, and attentive supervision while I work. Flexible Potty Breaks: Frequent yard access or short walk breaks every few hours to keep their routine seamless. Dedicated Walk Times: Long mornings, midday, or evening walks depending on your dog’s energy level and habits. Seamless Feeding & Meds: Sticking strictly to your home schedule for meal times, medication, and quiet hours. A Cozy, Secure High-Rise Haven Living in a high-rise apartment with ample surrounding walking paths, your pup gets the best of both worlds: a calm, secure indoor environment and plenty of structured outdoor exercise! Controlled & Safe Environment: High-rise living means zero risk of fence jumping or yard escapes. Your dog stays safe indoors with me all day. Frequent Elevators & Walking Trips: Since I don't have a yard to just open a door into, I take dogs on intentional, regular walks throughout the day for potty breaks, fresh air, and sniffing. Comfortable Relaxation: Plenty of cozy spots for lounging during my work hours, with constant supervision and companionship.
“Our Jupiter had the best time with Lorena. She was SO wonderful and showed him so much love and gave him all the attention. He went for lots of walkies and got lots of snuggles. He’s a senior pup and she made me feel confident knowing all his special instructions were followed. She’s a gem, and sent so many pictures which made me very happy to see!! 10/10, thank you Lorena and your family for taking such good care of Jupiter ❤️”

“Priscilla was a great help! Due to an unfortunate situation our sitter cancelled leaving me with a small window of time to find another sitter. Priscilla was great with Pebbles. We received daily picture updates! Will most certainly be using her again!”

“We chose Kara due to her high ratings and her previous work as a vet tech. It brought us major peace of mind knowing that our sick dog was with someone who knew how to handle veterinary concerns. We loved the cute pics of the pups on walks and playing with her dogs. Stellar experience and we would definitely rebook with her in the future!”

“Olivia was fantastic with Bunny. I got regular updates, pics, and videos to let me know how she was doing, and it was a great opportunity to get Bunny socialized with Olivia’s dogs and cats. Olivia and her husband were super friendly and easy to work with, and I know Bunny had a great time making new friends! I’ll def be bringing her back 🩵”

“Could not be more pleased with the care that Justine provided our dog Whimsy. She kept us in the loop on the stay and provided pictures from Whimsy's walk in a nearby park. If you are ever in the San Antonio area and need a pet sitter please consider Justine!”

“Patricia was very helpful as she helped take care of Toro during Easter weekend. It was only the second time we had left our beagle under somebody else’s care and it was a very good experience for both our dog and us. She walked Toro on a daily basis and played with him throughout the day. We appreciated her sending us videos and pictures of Toro during his stay as this made us even more sure he was in good hands. 100% recommended.”

I highly recommend Sierra to watch your pets, she was very passionate about watching my border collie and would send me daily updates of her playing with my dog. She was very kind and professional; this allowed me to enjoy my vacation and trust that my dog was in the best care. I will definitely be using her again in the near future!

Marti was fantastic with Mac and Mo, two tightly bonded Scottish Terriers. I could not have been more pleased. Her updates were wonderful. The pictures showed them adjusting well to a new environment and another dog. I vary much appreciated her kindness with my little friends.
Needed a last minute place for my two cats to hang out for a few hours while traveling and between hotels. Sarah responded almost immediately and was super flexible! She had them in a separate room so they could feel relaxed and unstressed with litter and water set up already. Highly recommend!

Divya was an AMAZING dog sitter! She sent so many updates and accommodated our babies very last minute. She is very punctual and responds quickly. Our babies came back happy and safe. We will be using again and highly recommend her as your fur babies will be safe with her:)

Morgan is amazing! This was our second time booking with her and would highly recommend for anyone needing a sitter for their furbaby! She is very flexible with pick up/drop off time and communicates openly during the visit. Always feel comfortable leaving our little guy in her hands while we are away!

Anna has been great with our older fur baby. She recently kept her for an extended time and sent us videos and pics on a regular basis. She was also very responsive when coordinating drop off / pick up details. She seems to genuinely love animals and ensures that they have their own space for rest periods as well.

Rufus is so kind and super sweet! Moose gets along great with his adorable pup, and I love that they get to enjoy nice strolls along the River Walk together. Rufus also sends lots of pictures and updates, which I really appreciate. I always feel comfortable knowing Moose is in such good hands with him. Highly recommend! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Ciria was AMAZING. My only issue is that she doesn’t live where I live! Came here for a TDY and decided to board my dog last minute. She truly went above and beyond. She accommodated so much for us, was VERY attentive, and sent so many updates. I don’t leave reviews often, but I had to. Thank you for loving on Poppy!!

Danielle was a complete life-saver! My usual sitter had an emergency and had to cancel the night before my trip. Danielle took my dog in for the weekend with less than a days notice. She was very communicative, kind, and patient with my anxious gal. She sent many photos and updates without me having to ask! I always get so nervous to leave my dog with someone she has never met but Danielle was so easy to work with and so trust-worthy. I highly recommend!!

If I could give more than five stars, I would. Ben took exceptional care of Morrison and made being away from my dog completely stress-free. The communication was outstanding, with frequent updates and photos that showed just how happy and comfortable Morrison was. It’s obvious that Ben has a lot of experience with dogs and truly enjoys what he does. Morrison came home happy, healthy, and maybe even a little disappointed to leave! Thank you for going above and beyond.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in TX ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
