“Our dog had a wonderful time with Marti! It was his first time ever being away from us, but Marti was patient and in the end, the experience was great for everyone. Thank you so much for taking care of our Kernie!”

“Kelly & Maoli are very communicative and responded quickly when I needed someone to take care of my dog within a week's notice! They also made time to have a meet and greet first. They have really taken time to set up their backyard and home to be dog friendly.”

“Daija was great with my babies! She was very welcoming and updated us everyday with pictures. Our dogs looked comfortable and happy in her home. We would definitely book with her again 🙂”

“Danielle was the best! She really treated my doggo like her own, plus she sent me pictures which was really nice since it was such a long duration. Really put my mind at ease 😁”

“Jackie was such a great sitter for our golden retriever! She sent pictures and gave updates daily, which was so nice! Will definitely rebook in the future!!”

“Kara took such great care of Emma! I asked for an update during the stay, and she responded with a sweet photo and a thoughtful message about how Emma was doing, which I really appreciated. She was also super accommodating and agreed to keep Emma an extra day when my plans changed. I could tell Emma was well cared for and in good hands. I’d definitely book with Kara again!”

“Britnee was amazing with our little schnauzer. She sent pictures frequently and daily, which left us feeling comfortable knowing he was in good hands. He even looks happy in the photos! We are very thankful for her! She was great with our pet.”

“We have allowed our Yorkie to spend 21 days with Abel and Alisa this year. She is excited spending time with them. She loves the attention and genuine care they both have for her. The painting, games, homemade treats, Sunday brunch, and other guest dogs make this the best boarding ever! The twice a day updates and pictures were an additional special touch. So happy that we found them both and can finally feel good going on vacation.”

“Grey and his partner were wonderful. My dog was well cared for and loved, and I already booked her next visit with them. My dog doesn't need special accommodations, but they were prepared for extra time, yard time (she loved that), sleep on furniture, etc. They also communicated well for meet/greet, drop off, pick up, and the times they were in the house - with pictures. My pup is heading back for my next out of town trip, because she liked staying there.”

“Alana is so kind and did a great job caring for our pup over the Christmas week. He came home happy, smelling great, with the cutest bandana and a little Christmas gift. Totally spoiled him! He came home tired from playing with her pups, too. Definitely recommend Alana!”

“Ezgi was so great with my baby! My dog has a lot of anxiety and so I worry about leaving him because it takes a bit for him to be comfortable. She did a meet and greet with us and was so patient and loving with him. He was so happy with her after getting acclimated and I will definitely be using her in the future for any sitting needs!”

“We LOVED Felicia and so did our pup! She took ours on morning strolls and did such a great job caring for her while we couldn’t be there to do so ourselves. Highly recommend!!”
“Alexis was prompt with communication and very convenient to downtown San Antonio. Our pooch was tuckered out after playing with Alexis's baby all day. Highly recommend 10/10!!”
“Maria was an excellent boarder for our dog. The questions she asked during our meet and greet made it clear that she is both proactive and knowledgeable about pet care. During our dog’s stay, she was very communicative and visibly attuned to our dog’s needs. It was clear she genuinely cares about animals, as she always framed questions with our dog’s wellbeing at the forefront. We cannot recommend her enough!”

“Courtney G. was my first experience with Rover.Com. She was wonderful. I received several pictures every day of my cat and was completely relieved to have Courtney G. keeping him. He was well cared for and happy in the environment in her house. I hope to use Courtney again for an trip my wife and I are taking in October. I cannot recommend her more highly.”

About: I have been caring for animals since I was about 14. I have had successful experience with treating a puppy with parvo (she did survive). I have great experience with taking care of the needs of family and friends pets. I volunteered at a cat shelter for a couple months and had a lot of fun taking care of and playing with all of them. I am currently at home everyday, so I do have time to take care of and play with the pets. I am available for boarding. This is a child free space, so your pets have no worries about any stressful situations that would come with that. Dogs with be walked every 2 hours, more frequently if needed. We have 1 sassy but loving cat to keep your pet company. Though, she does tend to stick to her bumble bee pillow. If pet becomes stressed I can easily secluded the from the situation so that they are in a calmer environment. Pets will be fed 2 to 3 times a day unless specified otherwise.
About: I’ve grown up with dogs in the home since I was 5 and have loved taking care of these furry guys ever since, I’ve spent my best days cuddling and playing with them to their hearts’ content! I enjoy going through the warming up process and giving them joy while they get to know me and making them as comfortable as possible, I am also a volunteer as San Antonio Humane Society where I give these loving pets some one on one time and attention and give them some much needed joy until they find their forever home! I would love to help make your life a little easier in assuring you that your furry companions are still having a wonderful time even when life gets a little hectic! I enjoy having an early morning outside and being productive early on in the day, I would be able to provide routine services anytime before 11:30am - 12pm In my home I do let my pets roam as they please which includes being on furniture, every hour or two I make sure their water and food are at a sufficient amount, my pets tend to stay inside unless they are showing signs of wanting to go outside into my fenced in yard, I try to routinely go out with my dogs every few hours and one last time before the sun sets, once the sun has set I keep them inside and slowly settle into the night so they’re well rested the following day
“This was my first time using Rover and leaving Angelo with someone we didn’t know, and I was pretty nervous. Lorena exceeded all expectations!! She was so nice and enthusiastic and can tell that she just loves dogs. She took the time to meet us before Angelo’s stay with her. Lorena gave me multiple updates a day with lots and lots of pictures which I appreciated so much! She also spoiled him and took him on multiple walks a day. Angelo absolutely loved Lorena and her family. 🥰 I highly recommend Lorena and we will definitely reach out to her again when we need a sitter for Angelo. 💛”

Cathy was wonderful from the meet up and throughout the stay. We were out of country and hated leaving our babies but she comforted us with lots of updates and pictures! Our dog and hers loved each other which was great! My old bulldog loved the couch and chair with lots of pillows and blankets. We did not have to worry about them while we were so far away which was great!

Danielle was a complete life-saver! My usual sitter had an emergency and had to cancel the night before my trip. Danielle took my dog in for the weekend with less than a days notice. She was very communicative, kind, and patient with my anxious gal. She sent many photos and updates without me having to ask! I always get so nervous to leave my dog with someone she has never met but Danielle was so easy to work with and so trust-worthy. I highly recommend!!

If I could give more than five stars, I would. Ben took exceptional care of Morrison and made being away from my dog completely stress-free. The communication was outstanding, with frequent updates and photos that showed just how happy and comfortable Morrison was. It’s obvious that Ben has a lot of experience with dogs and truly enjoys what he does. Morrison came home happy, healthy, and maybe even a little disappointed to leave! Thank you for going above and beyond.

Avah is amazing! I had to find a sitter last minute, and she was available to care for Opal. She kept me updated the entire time, was very responsive to texts, and sent photos regularly. Opal warmed up to her quickly, which says a lot since she can be a little shy at first. She genuinely cared and took time to make my dog feel comfortable and safe. I’ll definitely be booking with her again for our next trip. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, attentive, and caring sitter :)

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in TX ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
