“Amber is amazing! My three dogs and cat get pampered every day when she comes. She communicates and provides pictures of her visit. I definitely recommend her and will continue to require her services!”
About: If your dog has rocket-fuel energy, Olympic-level zoomies, or simply thinks walks are a scam, I’m your girl. I’ll bring them back happy, exercised, and significantly less likely to redecorate your house with chew marks. Benefits: Run it out or lose your mind. (Zoomies don't pay rent) Healthy Weight. Anxiety leaves the chat= Peace through exhaustion. Tire the brain. Silence the chaos= Mental stimulation. I'm a lifelong runner (28 years) and dog lover with a Blue Heeler (having owned two) and Heeler/ Husky mix, I understand their high energy and exercise requirements. Every session is geared towards their needs for the day. I still do offer,"Mosey walks" perfect for older/ senior dogs (Ranger is 10), or less energetic pups who still love to explore. Additionally, a TON of love and attention. I live in the King William area and two blocks from the river. My ultimate goal is a happy, well exercised dog, who sleeps well at night or even if they have to be put back in their kennel. I'm punctual, communicative, and send updates. Jenn I work from home building my business, so I’ve got flexibility — and yes, I can usually handle last-minute runs and walks. My dogs live for outdoor time (Nellie insists on her two-mile morning run), and I fully support their commitment to fresh air and movement. Your dog gets that same freedom and attention. Your dog’s safety isn’t optional — it’s the standard. My dogs are everything to me, and yours get that same level of care. From shady river paths near King William and HemisFair Park to smart, shade-first routes by your home, every walk and run is planned with comfort, awareness, and trust in mind. -Insured Dog Runner
About: I’ve taken care of neighbors pets on and off my whole life. We had two dogs growing up and cats as well. I’m always up for taking care of my best friend’s dog whenever they need it! Currently I work fulltime but I have my weekends free most of the time. I typically get off right at 5pm so I’m also free in the afternoon / evenings. If I’ll be caring for your pet in your home, it’s best that the animal feels comfortable with me so I’ll rely on whatever instructions / tips you’ll leave with me.
“Rufus is a legend! One week with him dropping in for an hour, and my Achilles is already listening better on walks, using the restroom with regularity outside, and listening better during indoor play as well. I always come back to my home just the way I left it, and have plenty of photos to beam and laugh at while at work. He seems to have an effortless relationship with dogs, with Achilles taking to him from day one, and his services really put my mind at ease! Will definitely be a repeat customer.”

“Ericka is the best cat sitter we have ever had. She is so attentive to our two kitties. She always gives through updates for each visit AND she always ensures their litter box is clean, which is such a relief for us. Highly recommend her!!!”

“Jessica was amazing!!! My puppy is 4 months old and gets shy around new people. About: Countryside-raised animal lover and proud pet mom to a dog and a cat. As a Rover client myself, I’ll treat your fur babies with the same love, care and respect as my own. I am a work from home marketing freelancer and military spouse. I have the flexibility of making my own schedule which means I can easily fit drop in visits and walks around your pet’s schedule rather than mine. Available throughout the day for visits and walks, including weekends, I’m happy to accommodate both recurring bookings and last minute requests whenever I can. Because I work from home, I’m rarely away for long stretches, so your pet gets consistent attention and reliable timing. Whether your dog needs a midday walk while you’re at work or your cat needs daily check-ins while you travel, I can build my day around what works best for you and your pet. I understand how much trust it takes to let a stranger into your home and pet’s life because I felt the same worry myself. I treat every home with respect, follow your instructions and your pet’s routine exactly as you’d want and keep all keys and access details secure and private. You’ll receive photos and updates with every visit so you can see what your furry baby is up to while you’re away. My goal is to give you peace of mind by caring for your pet and home as I would my own.

Ericka took absolutely wonderful care of my pets, cleaned the dirty food dishes and took out the garbage. I am very pleased with this service and will make sure to book again whenever I need a pet sitter. She even took care of some young kittens I’m currently fostering that needed oral medication and gave me plenty of updates and photos. A fantastic sitter who goes above and beyond!

As always, Denigh went above and beyond in caring for our spoiled cats. She maintained great communication before, during, and after the booking to make sure everything went alright and that our cats needed for nothing. She is always so willing to adapt to each cat’s needs and make them as comfortable as possible. She also takes incredible pics of your pet that make traveling without them a little easier. Don’t hesitate to book with Denigh!

This is our second time having Larissa watch our cat Electra, and I couldn't be any happier! Electra is very shy and doesn't normally warm up to people. But ut she warmed right up to Larissa and cuddled up to her. It was amazing!!! Larissa took great care of her and our home. I highly recommend her

Alondra is great , I can’t recommend her enough! She went above and beyond in every way while taking care of my pets. Not only did she make sure everything was handled perfectly, even dealing with an outstanding issue, she also kept me constantly updated with messages and photos, which gave me total peace of mind. I'm very thankful again for the extra issue with the door.

Angelica goes above and beyond to care for my animals (cat and dog). They absolutely adore her and I have complete faith in her for caring for my pets. I love being able to take trips and not have any worries about the care my pets are getting since I know they’re in great hands!

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in San Antonio. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
