PETCARE, not just feeding!San Antonio, TX

I know leaving part of your family behind is very stressful. My goal is to remove some of the anxiety involved, so you can enjoy your time away and be as productive as possible. Your pets become part of our pack for a short time, are well cared for and loved on, and are calm and ready when you return. Their social and mental needs are met along with their physical needs; socializing with our family and other dogs, play, walks...keep your pet happy and healthy in your absence.

About this sitter:

I have a Bachelor's Degree in Pre-Med Biology & Chemistry and a Master's Degree in Biology. I have been a Microbiologist for a heart valve manufacturing company, owned and operated a Medical Transcription service, taught high school and middle school science and math, was a Mary Kay Grand Achiever, and was a Quality Assurance Specialist evaluating compensation examinations for the VA. I have been caring for animals of all kinds for as long as I can remember, and professionally since 2009. I began RIDGES & PAWS as a service to provide for the times when you could not care for your pets. Having my own lifelong pets, I understand how difficult it is to find someone who will care for your family members as well as you would like. Your pets become an immediate part of our family! I have 3 children who have grown up learning a deep love for animals and the skills to provide for their needs. We currently have a Rhodesian Ridgeback named Duke, whom I use to evaluate and socialize other dogs, and 3 cats - Shadow, Nala & Grayson, the latest in a series of what we lovingly call "failed rescues" - they never left. We do woodworking with reclaimed wood and general contracting. I have given up on gardening for the time being. We would love to get to know your family, and to welcome your pets into ours.

I have experience caring for all forms of pets, including dogs, cats, birds, fish, snakes, geckos, lizards, goats, horses, cows, hamsters, guinea pigs, pigs, etc.

Why I love dog sitting

I have loved and owned dogs most of my life. My passion, now, is to help owners and the public better understand how to relate to dogs. ie, training the dog means first training the owner.

Meet my pets

We currently have a Rhodesian Ridgeback named Duke, whom I use to evaluate and socialize other dogs, and 3 cats - Shadow, Nala & Grayson, the latest in a series of what we lovingly call "failed rescues" - they never left.

About my yard

My backyard is fenced, secure, has good grass and shade.

My experience administering medication

My background is medical, so wound/illness care and administration of medications is part of providing care.

At our first meeting, we will go over paperwork for you to complete, answer any questions you have for me, and anything I need to know about your family member. As a general rule, all that will need to accompany them during their stay is food and medications/vitamins/supplements they will need. Food bowls are helpful. Any bedding, toys, accessories may come as well, with the understanding that they may not return in the same condition.

Routine business hours are 6:00 am - 7:00 pm. Please let me know if you have petcare needs outside these times.

Make Your Dog A Part of My Pack!Parkwood Maintenance, UTSA / Northwest Side, San Antonio, TX

WELCOME TO MY ROVER.COM PAGE!

I have been working on rover.com since July of 2014, and have had the opportunity to meet so many great people and pups!

I try my best to meet every dog's individual needs, and am more than willing to follow any schedule your dog is accustomed to when it comes to feeding, walking, play time, and receiving medications. I work from home, I have LOTS of time to spend with your pups. Every pup will receive huge amounts of playtime and love!!

Please keep in mind that I accept dogs from multiple owners at once. I will not be a good match for you if:

*You are looking for a sitter who has no other pets.

*You are looking for a sitter who accepts only one dog at a time.

*You are uncomfortable with your dog being part of a group, or being around dogs belonging to multiple owners.

*You are uncomfortable with your small dog being around large dogs.

AGGRESSIVE DOGS: I cannot accept dogs that have shown aggressive behavior towards other dogs or people, especially if there was an injury involved, or if the aggressive behavior was unprovoked.

Charlie's BackyardUptown, San Antonio, TX

We consider our guest dogs members of the family. Dogs are always supervised in our fenced and secure back yard, and in the home as well.

We walk our guests with our dogs Zachary and Bailey every day, usually 30 to 45 minutes, and we specialize in supervised pack therapy and socialization.

Zachary sleeps in his crate in our bedroom and so do many of our guests. If guest dogs are not crate trained we can work on that or provide a private sleeping room for this purpose.

For puppies less than one year old we charge $45 per day. With puppies the training is continuous including sit, stay, recall, leash walking, house training, door manners, etc. We provide the training treats, poop bags, and TLC.

We do not accept dogs that are not spayed or neutered except for puppies. Please contact us to discuss your dog's special needs.

Our typical care day is 24 hours and we tend to not enforce this too strictly. However, if your schedule requires an early drop off and/or a late pickup resulting in an extra 6 to 8 hours of care, we may charge $25 for the additional time.*

* Apparently, there is still some confusion about the hours of care covered by a one day charge. If for example a client drops a dog at 8AM on a Saturday for a one day stay, and does not return to pick up the dog until 4PM on Sunday, clearly this is more than a one day stay. And clearly we should be compensated for loving and caring for this dog for the additional 8 hours. We do not time our guest stays with a stopwatch, but if your dog's stay will be more than 24 hours, then please plan for an additional charge and work this out with us in advance so that we can be compensated fairly for our care of your dog.

YOUR DOG WILL BE PART OF OUR FAMILYSan Antonio, TX

I love all animals. Dogs are very special to me, I have fostered, raised and rescued dogs my whole life. Prior to moving to San Antonio I lived on a ranch and cared for all animals. I also grew up on a ranch with lots of pets to care for. I currently have been dog sitting and dog walking for 3 years in my neighborhood and I am wanting to expand my services.

I have a 5 yr old son who also loves to help out with our fur babies. We will take your baby in as one of our own. We walk at least 3-4 times a day and love to be outdoors. We have a 1 year old wheaten terrier mix he is about 30 pounds, medium sized. Very friendly and gets along great with other dogs. He loves to play.

I have a fairly large fenced in backyard that the dogs love to run and play in.

Living on a ranch I learned how to care for sick animals, I can administer pet medications if needed and take care of any special needs your baby might have.

Now Accepting New Clients!San Antonio, TX

Hello! My name is Brittany and I love being a dog mom! I have two passions in life: pets and communication. Currently, I am a graduate student and lecturer at UTSA when I am not playing with pups I specialize in cuddles and belly rubs!

I have been on Rover for almost 4 years and have no plans on stopping. I love it! My time on Rover has allowed me to learn and adapt my services to be the best I feel I can provide - the knowledge I have gained from working with my wonderful clients and being a part of the pet care community is invaluable. As a dog mom the most important thing to me is the well being and safety of my pets. This is also the most important thing in my business! I ensure a safe and stimulating, but relaxing environment.

My own dogs are of the more laid-back variety and tend to be great with all dogs! Sometimes extremely hyper and playful dogs are not always the best fit for my home. I try to keep a calm, but fun environment at all times!

I have experience with pets with anxiety and medical needs. I am able to give any medication including injections. If your pup is an anxious pet, don't worry! Your pets will never be pushed out of their comfort zone in my home, I allow each pet to decide on his or her own when they feel comfortable joining in. Please do note that I do all introductions one on one and over a period of a few hours after you drop off to make sure I am introducing new dogs in the safest and best way we know how.

Things to know:

I do charge a daycare fee is the stay runs over 28 hours.

I have a 7ft privacy fence, but please let me know if your pet has ever tried to jump a fence.

All pickups and drop-offs are by appointment, but I am usually flexible!

I will only take one non-kennel trained dog at a time to ensure a safe environment when I can not supervise.

Relocated to San Antonio!San Antonio, TX

Hello everyone! My name is Veronica and I just relocated to San Antonio, Tx! I used to team up with my dad Carlos, who is retired, to take care of your pets! We lost my mom about 4 years ago and dad found a lot of comfort and healing taking care of your awesome pets! Our Rover clients become part of our family!

I am looking to occasionally sit for your pets! I send pictures, videos and regular updates through the app! I want you to see your fur baby as much as possible while you are away!

I ask for SERIOUS inquiries only. As of late too many potential clients have requested services only to back out at the last minute. If you are contemplating a friend watching your pup, I ask that you do not send us a request until you know for sure they can't watch your pup. Please note - pick up time is no later than 10pm. There have been too many occurrences where owners have come late with no communication.

Hi there, and thank you for checking out our B & B Boarding site!

My name is Beckie, and my 15 year old sidekick is Miss Bella Bella (hence, B & B). Bella is my permanently placed amazing foster daughter whose goal is to save 100% of the money earned here toward her college fund (she's allowed to spend what she makes in tips). I'm a Trinity University grad whose coursework includes both child and animal psychology classes.

We've had a love for animals since...forever. I have 30+ years experience with animals of all sorts - tropical fish, birds, cats, and dogs (from tiny tea cup chihuahuas to gigantic Great Danes), Our old girl, Queenie the Weenie (long haired dachsund), was a rescue, and we belonged to each other for about 17 years. Unfortunately, Miss Queenie's health took a nose diver May 2017, and she was laid to rest. In addition, we have fostered dogs until permanent placement was found. Our experience includes caring for all sorts, including special needs senior dogs, shelter dogs with abusive pasts, dogs with anxiety- and/or fear-based tendencies (such as separation anxiety), and handicapped dogs in wheelchairs needing restorative physical therapy. Lastly, we are honored to aid our military veterans and their service dogs and have stepped in at hospitals as needed. We love ‘em all!

Here at B & B Boarding, we begin each day with a few bonding hours outdoors before the heat of the day becomes too uncomfortable. During this time, we enjoy interactive water and ball playing with our fur friends as well as free time to dig up old bones, chase squirrels, and explore outdoor scents and sounds...our large, secure, well shaded and privacy fenced yard is dotted with several small pools for fun active water play, squeaky toys, and a wooden playscape that allows our fur guests to run free up and down the doggie ladder and sunbathe on suspended platforms (or allow for nosy peering into neighbors backyards, should your pooch be so inclined....)

We give harnessed walks twice a day for some sun, exercise, and pack training (weather and furclient temperament permitting). Potty breaks are given at least every 2 hours (or as needed). Soothing oatmeal baths are included at no additional charge with a minimum 7 day booking...play time includes cuddles, pet massages, belly rubs, and talking to your fur baby in that silly loving voice we all use, saying things like,"You're faaaat faat faaaaahty" or "Does thaaat feeel gooood?"

We are available for a Meet and Greet just about any time, and can meet in our home or at a nearby dog park, whichever you prefer. Please feel free to send us a message whenever you're ready to explore a bit more and let's get this party started!

Hope to meet you soon,

Beckie and Bellla

Number One Dog LoverSan Antonio, TX

I absolutely love dogs! I have been caring for them since I was a young child. We've always had at least one dog in our household. I currently have 2 small dogs and a medium sized dog. They are definitely "my children." They are a wonderful, easygoing, loving pack that are very welcoming to guest doggies. I walk and spoil them daily. I would love to take care of your pooches too! I can assure you they will be given an abundance of love and attention. They will be part of the family while visiting. Kyle (my husband) used to train dogs so we are able to read dogs very well and notice behavioral cues right away. Dogs seem to take to us right away as they can sense we're dog lovers. Any special requests will be accommodated. My job is to make your pet as happy and comfortable as possible. I know leaving a family member behind can be a little stressful, so I will keep you up to date on how your dog is doing throughout their stay. I love to share pictures of your fur babies while they are enjoying their doggie staycation. We require dogs to be up to date on their vaccinations and to be on some type of flea preventative.

I am an elementary teacher and I love kids and dogs alike! ❤
