“We had a great experience with Anna dropping in to take care of our dogs. Excellent communication. She even stopped by beforehand to meet our pups. We would highly recommend Anna and plan to use her pet sitting services in the future.”

About: If your dog has rocket-fuel energy, Olympic-level zoomies, or simply thinks walks are a scam, I’m your girl. I’ll bring them back happy, exercised, and significantly less likely to redecorate your house with chew marks. Benefits: Run it out or lose your mind. (Zoomies don't pay rent) Healthy Weight. Anxiety leaves the chat= Peace through exhaustion. Tire the brain. Silence the chaos= Mental stimulation. I'm a lifelong runner (28 years) and dog lover with a Blue Heeler (having owned two) and Heeler/ Husky mix, I understand their high energy and exercise requirements. Every session is geared towards their needs for the day. I still do offer,"Mosey walks" perfect for older/ senior dogs (Ranger is 10), or less energetic pups who still love to explore. Additionally, a TON of love and attention. I live in the King William area and two blocks from the river. My ultimate goal is a happy, well exercised dog, who sleeps well at night or even if they have to be put back in their kennel. I'm punctual, communicative, and send updates. Jenn I work from home building my business, so I’ve got flexibility — and yes, I can usually handle last-minute runs and walks. My dogs live for outdoor time (Nellie insists on her two-mile morning run), and I fully support their commitment to fresh air and movement. Your dog gets that same freedom and attention. Your dog’s safety isn’t optional — it’s the standard. My dogs are everything to me, and yours get that same level of care. From shady river paths near King William and HemisFair Park to smart, shade-first routes by your home, every walk and run is planned with comfort, awareness, and trust in mind. -Insured Dog Runner
“Lexi was great and enjoyed spending time with my cats. She was attentive and accommodated their schedule. I felt very comfortable with her and appreciate how quickly she responds.”

About: I have over five years experience caring for other's pets while they're out of town. I am mature, reliable, and responsible. Feel comfortable knowing that your pet is well taken care of while you're gone. I am available every day of the week. For the first half of the week care will provided either early morning or after 7p, pet parent's preference. The back half of the week is open. I am a mature, responsible, and reliable person. I love to offer attention to pets while their parents are away, in addition to the necessary feeding and watering.
“Ciria is always great with my boys: I am a Rover employee and I feel so comfortable with her hanging out with them, it definitely allows me to relax when I’m away from them!”
About: I’ve grown up with dogs in the home since I was 5 and have loved taking care of these furry guys ever since, I’ve spent my best days cuddling and playing with them to their hearts’ content! I enjoy going through the warming up process and giving them joy while they get to know me and making them as comfortable as possible, I am also a volunteer as San Antonio Humane Society where I give these loving pets some one on one time and attention and give them some much needed joy until they find their forever home! I would love to help make your life a little easier in assuring you that your furry companions are still having a wonderful time even when life gets a little hectic! I enjoy having an early morning outside and being productive early on in the day, I would be able to provide routine services anytime before 11:30am - 12pm In my home I do let my pets roam as they please which includes being on furniture, every hour or two I make sure their water and food are at a sufficient amount, my pets tend to stay inside unless they are showing signs of wanting to go outside into my fenced in yard, I try to routinely go out with my dogs every few hours and one last time before the sun sets, once the sun has set I keep them inside and slowly settle into the night so they’re well rested the following day

“Alison was the best! She was very communicative and ensured she understood each of my three basset hounds’ quirks, including one with special needs. She was very enthusiastic about caring for them and included pictures of her stay (which really warms my heart when I am missing them). I would definitely ask for her again and certainly recommend her to a friend.”

About: I’ve taken care of neighbors pets on and off my whole life. We had two dogs growing up and cats as well. I’m always up for taking care of my best friend’s dog whenever they need it! Currently I work fulltime but I have my weekends free most of the time. I typically get off right at 5pm so I’m also free in the afternoon / evenings. If I’ll be caring for your pet in your home, it’s best that the animal feels comfortable with me so I’ll rely on whatever instructions / tips you’ll leave with me.

About: Countryside-raised animal lover and proud pet mom to a dog and a cat. As a Rover client myself, I’ll treat your fur babies with the same love, care and respect as my own. I am a work from home marketing freelancer and military spouse. I have the flexibility of making my own schedule which means I can easily fit drop in visits and walks around your pet’s schedule rather than mine. Available throughout the day for visits and walks, including weekends, I’m happy to accommodate both recurring bookings and last minute requests whenever I can. Because I work from home, I’m rarely away for long stretches, so your pet gets consistent attention and reliable timing. Whether your dog needs a midday walk while you’re at work or your cat needs daily check-ins while you travel, I can build my day around what works best for you and your pet. I understand how much trust it takes to let a stranger into your home and pet’s life because I felt the same worry myself. I treat every home with respect, follow your instructions and your pet’s routine exactly as you’d want and keep all keys and access details secure and private. You’ll receive photos and updates with every visit so you can see what your furry baby is up to while you’re away. My goal is to give you peace of mind by caring for your pet and home as I would my own.
“This was Melisa's first drop in visit with Katie and it went great. She gave my dog her medication, took her outside and played with her and made my day away much easier knowing I didn't have to worry!”

“Sarah helped take care of my little guy over the weekend. She was a quick study for an old cat with a few extraordinary needs. She showed up at the requested times and provided adequate summaries. Her care for my Wyatt was spot on.”

My dog, my cat and I love Sunny and recommend her wholeheartedly to any pet parent. She provided great care, my pets looked happy, relaxed and it helped me have peace of mind while I was away. Sunny sends amazing visit updates, with walk and care details, and funny events that happened during each visit with my furry babies and this helped me feel closer and more relaxed.

Mr. Zaihyden has been a pleasure to meet and work with. He has been a tremendous help by checking in on, feeding, and walking my dogs, which has allowed me to focus on work and run errands with peace of mind. He is wonderful with both of my dogs and always treats them with patience, kindness, and care. I highly recommend booking him if you need a reliable and professional pet sitter or dog walker. I look forward to booking his services again in the future.

We had a wonderful experience with Katie! She took such great care of Ivy and Floki and kept us updated throughout each visit, which meant so much to us. It’s never easy leaving your pets behind, but Katie made us feel completely at ease. We came home to two happy pups and couldn’t be more grateful. We would absolutely recommend her and look forward to booking with her again in the future! 🤍🐾

Very communicative! Received lots of photos and videos. Knowledgable of dog breeds and GDV. It was nice knowing she is as observant as I am. I have a food reactive dog and she followed feeding instructions perfectly. It brought me a lot of comfort knowing Anna was looking after them. Will book her again!

Connie did an amazing job checking in on Ollie while I’ve been out of town! I loved all the photos and updates she sent, it really gave me peace of mind knowing he was being well taken care of. I’m sure Ollie enjoyed her company and all the attention she gave him. I would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and caring sitter!

Sara has been such a great sitter for my furry babies! They were well taken care of, happy and relaxed! My cat, Obi, is not one to warm up easily to people, but Sara managed to get him to engage with her, come out for pics and even got him to show off his pancake routine, belly exposed. My dog, Nala, also seemed very happy with the care, walks and play time. I loved how I got timely updates, pictures in which my pets looked happy and relaxed, gave me a lot of peace of mind. I wholeheartedly recommend Sara for all the other pet parents and we’ll 100% rebook!

Taylor was the absolute sweetest and best caretaker for my Sunnie! She made sure to track every walk with Sunnie, gave a detailed explanation for every trip made, and made sure to send pictures. She took the best care of Sunnie and gave her all the cuddles. Made my trip so stress-free not having to worry about my dog, or message her to make sure everything was going okay because she was doing that without me asking! Need a Rover sitter, book her!

Nev was so great for daily visits for our senior dog Duke while we took a mini vacation. Thank you so much for accepting our booking on such short notice—we truly appreciate your flexibility and willingness to help us out last minute. It gave us so much peace of mind knowing our pet was in good hands, and we’re really grateful for your kindness and reliability. We would absolutely book with you again!

Angelica goes above and beyond to care for my animals (cat and dog). They absolutely adore her and I have complete faith in her for caring for my pets. I love being able to take trips and not have any worries about the care my pets are getting since I know they’re in great hands!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.
