Availability
Pet care is my full time job. I consider myself incredibly lucky to be able to do this for a living because I truly love my work. I work every day, so as long as I have availability, we can make a schedule work. All I ask is that you understand that I do have several clients, so I need some flexibility to align everyone’s schedules and to plan accordingly.

In my client’s home, I care for their pets in the way that they request. That’s why meet and greets are so important so we can go over all the details of what you want to see in terms of caring for your pet. I always do my best to follow instructions to a tee and will read anything you leave or send me.
Information Ignacio T. would like to know about your pet
The most important thing for me to know about your pets ahead of time is any medical issues or allergies. I will never give them any food or treats unless it’s provided directly by you or has been explicitly cleared by you to give them. I always err on the side of caution to make sure your furbaby is safe and well taken care of. I would also need to know if there’s any form of aggression whatsoever, not to disqualify you from care, but to make sure there are no incidents with either me or other pets in my care. For example, food or resource guarding is a very important thing for me to know to keep everyone safe. Some pups even get a little defensive with attention, so I need to know that as well. Knowing their schedule and routine is also very helpful to keep them comfortable and to reduce anxiety. There are many things we can go over at a meet and greet and I have been called thorough before, which I absolutely agree with. I take my job very seriously, so hopefully that comes across here!
A typical day
I love to start the day with either exercise or a healthy meal depending on your pet’s schedule and unique needs. If it’s good weather for dogs we try to spend a good amount of time outside in your backyard or on a walk. We’ll stop often if your pup wants to sniff around and leave their mark. Smell is a very important part of mental stimulation for dogs, so I try not to rush them unless we’re going strictly for exercise to burn energy. We will also play inside with any toys they have based on their physical capabilities. For cats we will start the day the same but play inside. I’ll usually have a toy like a cat wand and get them to chase after it around the house. Mental and physical stimulation is super important for all pets in addition to lots of attention and pets.

Pet care experience
I have a little orange cat and three dogs of different breeds, sizes, and ages in my home. I also recently had one of my senior pups cross the Rainbow Bridge. My pets are my kids, and I would do anything to ensure they receive the best care possible when I’m away from them. I understand how much anxiety goes into choosing someone to look after them and then wondering if you made the right choice. Rest assured, that with me you are working with someone who has spent his whole life care for his own pets as well as other people’s pets. Over the years I’ve gained experience in senior dog care, palliative care, puppy and kitten care, adult dog and cat care, dog walking, pet sitting, large group daycare, and bottle feeding and administering medication. I take pet care extremely seriously because animals matter to me and I know how much your care about your by virtue of you being here. Although I don’t feel comfortable quite yet in labeling myself a dog trainer, I’m on a journey to become one someday as well.
Reviews

Ignacio went above and beyond to take care of my cat and hermit crabs. I have been using Rover for a while, and I was impressed with how clean he left my apartment. Very impressed, and hope to book him again!

Ignacio was super friendly and great with cats. He came beforehand to do a meet and greet with the animals. He took notes during the process, making sure that he got all the necessary information for the weekend with my cats. I felt very comfortable when I left for the weekend. My cats really seem to like him. He gave me very comprehensive updates. He always sent me pictures of my pets at each check-in, which I really appreciated. One of the days it was storming, and he was very good at communicating with me. There would be changes to the times he could come to visit the cats.Very happy with service. Would recommend and would use again if the opportunity arises

Ignacio went above and beyond: socializing the kittens, deodorizing the litterboxes, recovering electronics after an outage, and accounting for the possibility of delays in my return. I would definitely rebook with Ignacio.

Nacho takes amazing care of my two cats. I have one very needy ragdoll who needs lots of pets and attention and one very scardy cat. Both of them seem super comfortable around him and he will be their sitter going forward for all future trips. So thankful to have found him.
