“Ann was absolutely wonderful with our two dogs. One is old and cranky, the other young and hyper. She kept them both happy while we were away and really catered to their needs. She went above and beyond to make sure that they were comfortable, and our pups clearly enjoyed their time with her. Thank you so much for a wonderful experience!”

“Lorena was absolutely exceptional! She watched my dog, Gizmo, for 17 days and cared for him like he was her own family. She sent multiple photo updates every day, which gave me so much peace of mind while I was away. It was clear from the photos and messages that Gizmo was happy, comfortable, and well loved. Lorena is attentive, reliable, and genuinely caring! I couldn’t have asked for a better sitter. I would trust her with Gizmo again in a heartbeat and highly recommend her to anyone looking for top-notch care.”

About: I can't remember a time I didn't have a pet, since childhood. My childhood dog's name was Wallstreet and our cat was Clara. My dog Leia is my first dog as an independent adult. I've had her for 10 years. I started a cleaning business since 2019 and my clientele grew from word of mouth from people I would house sit and pet sit for since 2016. During that time I also cared for a woman with dementia for two years, checking on her twice a day, cleaning, going on outings, and giving meds. I still have my cleaning business and am looking for a new side hustle to supplement my income. I love animals and people and have a lot of free time, so this just made sense! I hope I can help spoil and love on your pets while you can't. I have a completely open and flexible schedule. The only things I do on a regular basis are some zoom calls at 7 pm early in the week and a couple outings/errands a week for an hour or two. In my home, dogs would be walked around the beautiful hills and scenery in my neighborhood. I don't have a fenced in yard. Cats and dogs would have full reign of the apartment. Animals are allowed on furniture. Actually, I am lucky they share the couch with me.

“We were very impressed with Esther from day one. Our Chihuahua/Terrier mix named London had such a wonderful time. London was able to interact with the other dogs and gain the interaction she does not receive on a daily basis. It truly felt like a doggy daycare in a warm, home setting. We have booked future dates and look forward to working with Esther more in the near future.”
“Karynne was absolutely amazing! We booked her last minute for our cat, Ramen, and she went above and beyond to make sure we felt confident he’d be well cared for. From the moment we met her, she was so genuine and accommodating. She sent us great photos and updates, and it was clear Ramen was happy and comfortable—honestly, he didn’t even want to leave when we picked him up! Her communication was excellent, and it’s such a relief knowing that when we need to travel again, we have someone Ramen truly loves. We are so grateful for her and highly recommend her to anyone needing a caring and attentive sitter.”

“As always, David and Jennifer do not disappoint! Had to leave my baby for 11 days, but she was with her second family. Play dates everyday and cuddles with the humans...smiles all around!”

“We loved dawn taking care of our pup! She was very nice, communicative, sent updates and photos/videos regularly. Lexie had a great time in her care! I would definitely use dawn again in the future, thank you for taking such good care of my girl!!!”

“Tamara was absolutely wonderful with my Willa. She sent regular messages, updates and photos/videos. You can tell she enjoys watching after all the babies and she is very kind. I will definitely book with her again.”

About: Animals have been a big part of my life for over 20 years. I currently have two dogs that I raised from puppies, so I understand the patience, consistency, and attention that great pet care requires. I treat every pet like family and always aim to make them feel safe, comfortable, and loved. Policies: $15 late fee on drop offs and pickups over 30 minutes past the agreed upon time (unless previously discussed) Please reach out if you need to change the schedule. Thank you! I currently work as a freelance software developer, so I have a flexible schedule with open availability for pet care. This gives me the ability to provide reliable, consistent care and be available for walks, drop-ins, and other pet care needs throughout the week. During walks and drop-ins, I prioritize safety by using secure leashing practices, monitoring the environment, and making sure pets have fresh water and plenty of attention. I also provide regular updates with photos so owners know their pets are being well cared for. My goal is to make each visit stress-free and enjoyable while treating every pet like my own.
“Felicia was an incredible sitter! Our pups were showered with love and care from her and her family. We truly appreciated the regular photo updates, such a thoughtful touch. Thank you so much! We’ll definitely be booking with her again.”

“El cuidado de nuestro perrito fue excelente con ella, nos estuvo comunicando a través de mensajes y fotos cómo estaba y que hacía nuestro perrito. Sin duda volvería a repetir con ella.”

“Marti was great for my dog! She was very easy to communicate with and attentive. I enjoyed the photos she sent me of his stay each day. She is very knowledgeable about dogs and offered great advice for some of his needs.”

“Teddy stayed with Kristen and her family for 10 days and I think it’s safe to say he had a great time. He was happy to see his own family when picked up but was sad to leave her home and actually cried in the car ride home. We received daily pictures of all his adventures and were happy to know he was in great hands while we were away. We will definitely rebook with Kristen on our next getaway.”

“I would definitely be rebooking my dogs with Rachel again. She kept me updated on my babies and the return in good health 😃😃 Thank you so much for watching my babies.”

“Excellent communication, sent updates and photos. Asked about the pup before agreeing to service. Has other calm small dogs who did not act aggressive at drop off. Highly recommend. 💗”

“Divya was absolutely amazing with my dog, Brodie. She kept me updated the entire time with detailed messages, pictures, and videos, which gave me so much peace of mind while I was away. She reassured me before my flight not to worry and truly paid close attention to him, updating me on his behavior and how he was settling in. What stood out most was how intuitive and patient she was. She understood his personality right away, gave him space when needed, and handled everything calmly and confidently. It’s clear she genuinely cares about the pets she watches, and I felt completely comfortable having Brodie in her care. I would absolutely book with her again without hesitation. Highly recommend! 🐾”

“Celeste was so sweet with my baby! 💕 She was very communicative and patient as Ella was a little shy at first. I could tell she cared about her as her own. Definitely booking with Celeste again!”

“Kara was amazing! Our little pup M.C. had the best time! She communicates and sends lots of photos so you know your baby is having fun! Would definitely rebook anytime!”

Mollie is the pet sitter extraordinaire. Our dog was a little nervous going to a new home so Mollie suggested a drop off routine that reduced our dogs anxiety. Ingenious! Mollie focuses her time and attention on ensuring our dog’s needs were met and making sure she was comfortable physically and emotionally. She’s simply the BEST! She sends pictures and videos of daily activities, sniffy walks, and play time. You simply couldn’t ask for a better sitter than Mollie. We will definitely be rebooking again for our next vacation.

Adriana was absolutely wonderful! She made our Pancho feel right at home and came through for us in a pinch. We felt lucky to find her so quickly and grateful for her flexibility in helping watch Pancho on short notice. I highly recommend her and will definitely be reaching out again if she's available!

Dulce and her family were amazing with our little dog, Piper. Dulce sent me several photos everyday to put us at ease and she really loved Piper as if she was her own. I will absolutely book with Dulce again if we ever need a sitter for Piper again. Don’t hesitate to book with Dulce—you will be thrilled!

Anna has been great with our older fur baby. She recently kept her for an extended time and sent us videos and pics on a regular basis. She was also very responsive when coordinating drop off / pick up details. She seems to genuinely love animals and ensures that they have their own space for rest periods as well.

Ciria was AMAZING. My only issue is that she doesn’t live where I live! Came here for a TDY and decided to board my dog last minute. She truly went above and beyond. She accommodated so much for us, was VERY attentive, and sent so many updates. I don’t leave reviews often, but I had to. Thank you for loving on Poppy!!

Danielle was a complete life-saver! My usual sitter had an emergency and had to cancel the night before my trip. Danielle took my dog in for the weekend with less than a days notice. She was very communicative, kind, and patient with my anxious gal. She sent many photos and updates without me having to ask! I always get so nervous to leave my dog with someone she has never met but Danielle was so easy to work with and so trust-worthy. I highly recommend!!

Our dogs had a wonderful time with Laurie. This was the first time she watched all three of them. She took them on walks, kept them safe and entertained so they came back happy and exhausted. She has a great set up with a fenced in backyard. She has a schedule that really fits. Their needs is very active her soul so that helps with the active dogs and a really great mom that can lend a hand when needed. We are already scheduled with her again!

Lauren and Matt saved my sons wedding! We needed a sitter last minute and Lauren facilitated a meet n greet for us and boarded our pupper within a few days. They treated our girl like she was one of their own and gave her so much love and attention. Shes an anxious pup but they put her at ease and gave her lots of love and attention which really helped. Lauren and Matt were so kind, understanding, and flexible to us and the situation, we cant thank them enough! They were the reason I had the ability to fly out to my sons wedding and was able to attend. Thank you!!

Alyssa was an absolute gem of a pet sitter! Her location on base at Fort Sam Houston made pickup and drop off incredibly convenient. From the start, she was very responsive and communicative, quickly easing any nerves. She provided frequent updates, complete with adorable photos and videos of my kitten, which gave me peace of mind while I was away. It was clear that Alyssa genuinely cares for animals. My kitty seemed happy, safe, and very well loved during her stay. Everyone in the household was respectful, courteous, and seemed to enjoy having my kitten as much as he enjoyed being there. I highly recommend Alyssa to anyone looking for reliable, loving pet care.

It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in TX ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
