Lynda was great with the dogs! She is so friendly and loves getting them up and moving! I asked for them to be just taken outside, and to my surprise she also took them on a walk through our neighborhood. She goes above and beyond and I am so appreciative of everything she does!

About: I’ve taken care of my dogs and some neighbors dogs all my life. Starting from puppy training to becoming responsible on the daily habits of walking your dog, making sure to give them food and water everyday, play with them and more. How some people are really good with kids? That’s me but with pets! I am currently in college so around my schedule, I have all the free time in the world to spend precious time with your child while you’re away! We have a fenced yard at my house which has prepared me for picking up poops around the yard if need be. My dog when hot we will bring him in and lay in the crate so I can be flexible for the needs of your pet.

Sara was very caring when getting to know and walking our doggies, she is very gentle and considerate when dealing with anxious pups. One of our doggies is less trusting but he accepted her from the first moment, I have no doubt both our pups love her company!

About: I've always loved animals and treat every pet like they're my own. I'm patient, dependable, and committed to making sure pets feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for while their owners are away. Whether it's walks, playtime, feeding, or sticking to a specific routine, I pay close attention to each pet's individual needs and personality. I'm happy to provide updates and photos for peace of mind and always strive to create a positive, stress free experience for both pets and their families. I currently work part-time, which gives me a flexible schedule and plenty of availability for pet care throughout the week. Because of my hours, I'm able to accommodate walks, drop in visits, and overnight stays in many cases. I enjoy spending time with animals and can provide them with the attention, consistency, and care they deserve while you're away. Whether I'm caring for pets in my home or in a client's home, I make their safety and comfort my top priorities. I follow each owner's instructions closely, including feeding schedules, exercise routines, and any special care needs. I take the time to help pets feel comfortable in their environment, give them plenty of attention and affection, and keep a close eye on their well being. I also make sure doors, gates, and leashes are secure during walks and outdoor time, and I'm happy to provide regular updates and photos so owners know their pets are doing well.

About: Animals have always been a big part of my life. I currently care for three dogs, a Belgian Malinois, a Husky, and a Great Pyrenees, as well as my indoor cat, Cleo, who I've had for five years. Caring for my pets has taught me how to handle different personalities, energy levels, and care needs, from active working breeds that need plenty of exercise to cats who thrive on consistency and routine. While I am new to Rover, I am not new to caring for animals. I take pride in being dependable, attentive, and patient, and I will care for your pets with the same love and responsibility that I give my own. As a college student, I have experience balancing classes, work, research, and extracurricular commitments while maintaining a consistent routine. Caring for pets is already a part of my daily life, as I help care for three dogs and a cat at home. I am organized, dependable, and able to plan my schedule around feedings, walks, playtime, and check-ins to ensure pets receive the attention and care they need. I am especially available during evenings and weekends, and I always make pet care a priority when I have committed to a booking. I understand that trusting someone with your pet is a big decision, and I take that responsibility seriously. Whether I am caring for a pet in my client's home or spending time with them during visits, I follow all instructions provided by the owner regarding feeding schedules, medications, exercise, routines, and any special needs. I pay close attention to pets' behavior and well-being and make sure they are safe, comfortable, and supervised. I also provide updates and photos whenever requested so owners can have peace of mind while they are away. My goal is to make pets feel secure, cared for, and as comfortable as possible in their familiar environment.

I love getting out for sniff-filled strolls, step goals, and leisurely neighborhood walks tailored to your dog’s pace and personality. I treat every pet like family and always aim to make them feel safe, loved, and happy while in my care. 🫶🏼 I currently work from home with a flexible schedule to accommodate drop ins or walks throughout the day with my best availability in the mornings, lunch, or late afternoon. Ericka is absolutely amazing! She has been an incredible dog walker for my standard poodle, Gigi, and I couldn’t be happier with her care. From the start, Ericka has been so sweet, flexible with scheduling, and consistently reliable. She always communicates promptly and very quickly learned the French commands that I use with Gigi. Gigi absolutely LOVES her walks with Ericka. She gets so excited when Ericka arrives, literally jumping with joy, and it’s clear how much she adores her. Ericka does a fantastic job managing Gigi’s high energy levels and always ensures she gets the exercise and attention she needs. I trust Ericka completely with Gigi and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a dedicated and caring dog walker. Thank you, Ericka!

  • 89% of walkers can help with special care needs
  • 94% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 99% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
