About: What sets me apart from other caretakers is the care and attention I give to every pet. Each pet is different they have there own personality and needs. I make sure that your pet feels loved, comfortable and is safe. I am dependable, patient, and committed to following your pets routine while keeping you posted for a piece of mind. I currently have a small business and I am a college student at UTSA. Right now I am on summer so I am flexible to walk your pet at any time. When caring for pets in a client's home, I follow their normal routine as closely as possible to help them feel comfortable and secure. I make sure they have fresh food and water, a clean litter box, plenty of attention, and playtime when they want it. I also keep owners updated and make it a priority to be reliable, respectful of their home, and on time for every visit.
“Allison did amazing! She was so great walking Fenway and with excellent communication. I’d definitely recommend her to anyone who needed some trustworthy pet care:)”

“My bullmastiff, Gus, loves Tim!! I had to start going back into the office 3 days a week, and I was concerned Gus being alone and in his crate for so long. Tim started walking him on those days and I can see a huge I’ increase in Gus’ happiness. Someone rang the doorbell the other day and Gus got so excited!! Normally he ignores the doorbell. But he was looking for Tim. This makes me so happy to see Gus so happy. Thanks Tim for doing such a great job!!”

About: I have been pet sitting for about five years now and have experience with many different sizes and breeds of animals! I raised a lamb, goat, and a guide dog in high school and personally, I have owned a Cavachon, and a Labrador. I used to work at a dog daycare for about a year and I volunteered with Animal Defense League! Currently I am on summer break and so I have full availability! In the fall, I will only go to school on Mondays and Wednesdays. I never take my eyes off of a pet, especially if we are outside. I always make sure that they are next to me when passing someone else or another pet on a walk and redirect them is needed. I always greet animals I do not know calmly and gently, I never want to overstimulate them.
“Brittney took excellent care of my dog. She was very conscientious about doing everything that I asked her to do. She left the house in good order and I will definitely be asking Brittney to help me with my dog in the future.”

“Andria has been a real help to me this past week with all the weather uncertainty. She is responsible about communicating….. and on time when she is committed to a certain date and time. I think her qualifications are more than adequate for the responsibility she carries in walking our precious pets.”

“Sam was very attentive and helped out greatly when we requested small details for the dogs. Definitely will be using him in the future and highly recommend him.”

About: I have a dog currently and have had a cat in the past, as well as pet sat for neighbors with both!! I love playing with pets and am great at remembering specific care instructions and personalizing experiences! I work part time( typically the PM 6-11 shift) so I have a lot of free time for pet sitting. I'm fully off 3 days a week. I'm available for overnight sitting at your place or drop-in visits, whichever is most convenient!! I know every pet is different and I care for them based on their needs. I am comfortable giving pets medications and extra care when needed. I enjoy walking dogs and doing play time with pets as well.
“My dogs absolutely loved Alechia! I hired her for a couple of days walks while I was out of town and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience! She came and met them and they immediately were drawn to her (dogs know good people)! I will definitely hire her again!!”

“I needed a last minute dog walker and Courtney was very flexible. I felt safe having her come take Sparky out while I was at work. I have continued to utilize her services. I recommend!”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Hill Country Village
Wonderful dog walker — my pup’s absolute favorite! My pup loves her so much! In fact he eagerly waits by the door every day for her. She shows up on time with great energy, genuine care, and a consistently positive attitude. Even my neighbors have commented on how fantastic she is with my pup during their walks. Truly reliable, trustworthy, kind, and a bright spot in my dog’s routine. The pics prove he is happy! Highly recommend.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
