About: I've always loved animals and treat every pet like they're my own. I'm patient, dependable, and committed to making sure pets feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for while their owners are away. Whether it's walks, playtime, feeding, or sticking to a specific routine, I pay close attention to each pet's individual needs and personality. I'm happy to provide updates and photos for peace of mind and always strive to create a positive, stress free experience for both pets and their families. I currently work part-time, which gives me a flexible schedule and plenty of availability for pet care throughout the week. Because of my hours, I'm able to accommodate walks, drop in visits, and overnight stays in many cases. I enjoy spending time with animals and can provide them with the attention, consistency, and care they deserve while you're away. Whether I'm caring for pets in my home or in a client's home, I make their safety and comfort my top priorities. I follow each owner's instructions closely, including feeding schedules, exercise routines, and any special care needs. I take the time to help pets feel comfortable in their environment, give them plenty of attention and affection, and keep a close eye on their well being. I also make sure doors, gates, and leashes are secure during walks and outdoor time, and I'm happy to provide regular updates and photos so owners know their pets are doing well.

About: I’ve had pets my whole life- dogs, cats, hamsters, fish, rats, hedgehogs, etc. Anyone who knows me knows I have such a big heart for animals and am truly amazed by them. I am currently in school to get my degree in biology to use to work at the San Antonio Zoo in animal conservation. I am trusted by all friends, family and coworkers to pet sit- I even have experience in administering medication to pets and experience in caring for senior animals. I believe all animals deserve love and respect no matter their size, and I promise to take care of your pet like my own. I currently work as a manager at a coffee shop, so I don’t mind getting up early or staying up late to take care of your pet. I am not on a fixed schedule, so week by week it may change but I will always have time to care for your pet. I am a very aware person, and I know how much pets are part of the family. I will ensure that no animal gets out and that their routine is accounted for at all times. I believe in making sure animals are well taken care of- physically and emotionally.

It was a pleasure meeting Mr. Zaihyden. He did an excellent job with both of my dogs—my senior dog and my younger, very energetic dog. He knew exactly how to keep them calm and comfortable throughout the visit. He is very polite, professional, and clearly has a natural talent for working with dogs. I highly recommend booking him if you're looking for someone who is caring, knowledgeable, and great with pets.

About: As a mom of three, caring for others comes naturally to me. My son loves animals and enjoys joining me on walks, but I am always the one responsible for your pet’s care. I have experience caring for dogs of different ages, sizes, and personalities, and I’m comfortable following feeding schedules, administering routine medications, and providing plenty of exercise, attention, and affection. My goal is to treat every dog like part of the family. We love doing special things for the dogs in our care, whether that’s an extra walk, a fun outing, lots of playtime, or simply extra cuddles and attention. Whether your pup loves adventure or prefers a quiet day at home, I’ll make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved. I’ll also provide regular updates and photos so you can have peace of mind while you’re away. My schedule is very flexible during the summer. My children attend camp during the weekdays, which allows me to be home frequently and provide plenty of attention, walks, potty breaks, playtime, and companionship throughout the day. During the week, I can offer a consistent routine with regular feeding schedules, exercise, and lots of interaction. I understand that dogs thrive on structure, so I do my best to maintain the routines they're accustomed to at home. Weekends vary a bit more for our family, as we occasionally travel or have plans, so I keep my Rover calendar updated and only accept bookings when I know I can give pets the time and attention they deserve. Because I have a flexible schedule and spend much of my time at home, I'm able to provide attentive care, frequent check-ins, and plenty of love and companionship while you're away. Safety, reliability, and communication are my top priorities. During walks and drop-in visits, I follow your pet's normal routine as closely as possible, including feeding schedules, potty breaks, exercise, medications, and any specific instructions you provide. I understand that every pet has a unique personality and comfort level. Some pets love lots of play and activity, while others prefer a calmer approach. I take the time to build trust with each animal and ensure they feel comfortable and cared for while you're away. During walks, I prioritize safe leash handling, awareness of surroundings, and making sure your pet gets appropriate exercise based on their age, energy level, and needs. During drop-ins, I'll make sure your pet has fresh water, attention, playtime, and companionship—not just a quick visit. I also respect your home as if it were my own. I'll follow any household instructions, keep things tidy, and make sure doors, gates, and locks are secure before leaving. You'll receive updates and photos after each visit so you can have peace of mind knowing your pet is happy, safe, and well cared for.

About: Took care of both my dog and cat together, they have since passed. My favorite part of the day was coming home to them and giving each of them play time and a walk for my dog. My husband and I just moved here. I am a new mom to a 4 month old baby and would love an excuse to love on some animals and get some extra steps in the day as well. I do not have anything animals of my own so your sweet animal will be my focus during our time together! I will walk your pup or play with your cat and clean up after them as needed.

About: I have been caring for dogs since I was young and have experience with feeding, playing, and making sure pets feel comfortable and cared for in their home environment. Growing up around dogs has helped me understand how important patience, consistency, and attention are when it comes to pet care. What sets me apart is that I take the time to learn each pet’s routine and personality so they feel safe and relaxed while you are away. I am very attentive and make sure to follow all care instructions closely, while also providing a calm and clean environment during every visit. I am reliable, gentle, and easy to communicate with. After finding out the hours on my job were going to be a lot longer than I thought , I needed a dog walker at the last minute. Brittney stepped up right away. I received details of the walk, and pictures each time she picked up my dog. My dog seemed so much calmer when I got home. I really appreciate all. Brittney did to help make our stay here better.

Nev is a compassionate, gentle, reliable, respectful and knowledgeable dog walker. His care of my pups and ability to calm them and gain trust is superb. Both of my rescues are reactive and can be unruly. Nev is patient but firm and keeps them safe and happy. When they return from their walk they are chill and tuckered ☺️ Nev helped me so much when I wA recovering from surgery. Because of him, I was able to have them by my side vs. having them in boarding. This aided my healing because we all know - dogs are so beneficial to our wellbeing. TY Nev! I would not hesitate to recommend Nev to anyone who truly cares and loves their animals as part of their family 💗🐾🐶

  • 98% can help with daily exercise

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
