Pet care is my full-time source of income. I do 1-7 walks/drop-ins almost every day of the week, particularly concentrated in the Pearl/downtown area between roughly 11am-7pm. I usually do not book walks or drop-ins in the early morning hours, but often make exceptions for non-recurring clients. While house-sitting, that pet's home will be my "home base" where I stay the night (unless specified otherwise) and keep up with all of the outings/feedings/litter changes in their regular routine. I will normally leave the house for 2-3 hours at a time to take care of my other bookings and return to the house-sitting in-between those to spend time with the pet(s). Due to the flexibility of making my own schedule and this being my main occupation, I can sometimes fit in last-minute or late-night bookings, so feel free to ask.

On walks I usually default to following the dog's lead when it comes to location and pace. If a dog park is nearby, we might go depending on how busy it is and if the dog is friendly with others. When pet sitting or dropping in at the home, I spend plenty of quality time giving love if they want it, paying attention to their mood and eating habits, and making sure they're not getting into trouble. I can take many update videos/photos, will message if anything comes up, and I appreciate being messaged any time you have a concern or just want to see your pet.

I like to make use of whatever toys are in a pet's space and keep them mentally engaged (when house sitting or dropping in), sometimes bringing my own, and make sure to give positive feedback when they are well-behaved. If an animal is nervous I will always respect their space and pay attention to body language, and if I have to spend a little extra time to make sure they trust me and don't stress, that's fine with me. Being located in Texas, on dog walks I try to pay particular attention to any signs of them being negatively affected by the heat - in which case I offer a water bowl, wet their bellies to help cool off, and if it's a real concern I take them home right away.

Experiencia en el cuidado de mascotas
I grew up with a dog and cat, and have been offering walks, drop-ins, and house sittings part time for about 10 years, starting in high school. This is now my full-time job! My most frequent early clients were 3 huge unfixed shepherds so I can deal with a lot. I get around by e-scooter so parking isn't an issue. Can't wait to meet your pets! ** Reviews mentioning the name Charlotte are referring to me! I updated my Rover profile to show the name people usually call me (Nev) **

Nev is a wonderful dog walker! Goes above and beyond for my dog, Archie, by giving him treats, changing out his water and showing him love. Nev is also very reliable and has accommodated my last minute requests - it is greatly appreciated!!

Nev did wonderful with my cat, would definitely book again!

Nev was so great for daily visits for our senior dog Duke while we took a mini vacation. Thank you so much for accepting our booking on such short notice—we truly appreciate your flexibility and willingness to help us out last minute. It gave us so much peace of mind knowing our pet was in good hands, and we’re really grateful for your kindness and reliability. We would absolutely book with you again!
